I don't live in Tallahassee anymore, but this is one of those places that I will go out of my way to visit every time I am there. They have excellent sandwiches and salads. The dressings are homemade and delicious. My go-to sandwich is the Zorba, which is a Greek salad on bread. So. So. Delicious. This isn't really a fancy date kinda place, but if you want a great lunch, it's a local fave.

This is a beloved local lunch spot. They offer salads, soups, and homemade cake pieces. Chicken Tetrazzini salad was large and delicious with a unique Russian type dressing called "Italian Dressing" Unfortunately, I would not recommend the Meatloaf sándwich which was too small and did not satisfy a normal appetite. We had chocolate chip cake with caramel icing and also a blueberry cake. Both were delicious.

I love this place! Apparently everybody else does too because it's almost always packed! Since I'm a vegetarian, I usually get the garden sandwich or a Greek salad. Anything I get there is always fresh and delicious.

Excellent food and great prices too. We had the meatloaf sandwich and the regular sized cashew chicken salad plate. Just FYI the plate was HUGE. Both items were really good and we would definitely stop here again, but next time we'd get the sandwich and a mini plate!

My wife ordered a pasta dish (I forgot to get the name of). I ordered Pescado A Lo Macho. All dishes were fantastic. Flavors were excellent. I added there house sauce to mine, because I like it spicy. I thought this dish was amazing. My wife's taste thought the pasta was a little too rich with cream, but I thought it was perfect. All of us loved the flavors of the Lomo Saltado. We finished the meal with the best Tres Leches I have ever had. It was a great atmosphere. Thank you Chef Martin for sharing your home with us. We chose to dine on their colorful outdoor terrace, and when I tell you that we were transported to another country.... I mean, it literally took us out of Tally and dropped us in a tropical paradise. As the sun went down, the lights began to glow. The ambiance was surreal. I repeatedly told my husband I felt thousands of miles away from home. Was it the cafe lights or the Sangria? I can't be sure. The live music began and it was a whole vibe. Heads turned, ears perked up, and an entire terrace just exhaled. The sultry atmosphere was only overshadowed by the savory food. Dear Lord we ate far too much. What is that saying? Ask forgiveness not permission. Sounds about right. We started with cocktails and Fried Yucca. The Jamaican Margarita was a perfect blend with a sweet sugared rim. The Sangria was a full party in the glass with fresh fruit. The Yucca portion was hefty, but we ate it ALL. In hindsight, we should have saved more room for our actual meal. We ordered Lomo Saltado Beef that was so tender and rich, and it was accompanied by another hefty portion of indulgent carbs. See? That's where moderation in our starter would have been wise. Ahh lessons learned. If we had saved half of the Yucca for leftovers it would have reheated in an air fryer beautifully. We also ordered the Escabeche which was a beautifully fried , snapper filet served with sweet potato and rice. The sauce was simple and elegant with that classic tart vinegar bite. We looked at the dessert menu. I repeat, looked. We simply had no more room. We'll be back soon and promise to make it to the dessert menu and coffee.

Ordered take-out: Rare Beef Phô, Roasted Pork Bahn Mi, Classic Milk Tea w/ Boba & Egg Coffee. The phô broth was separated from the noodles, onions & cilantro, which was separated from the rare beef, which was separated from the sprouts, lime & basil. I actually liked it this way coz I can never eat a whole bowl so being able to split everything into 2 was nice . My husband had the Bahn Mi & while I forgot to ask for a taste it looked delish, the same with the Milk Tea! I'd never had an Egg Coffee & the young lady who took my order said it tastes like a crème brûlée wasn't lying!! Not overly sweet but thick & lucious! Since I wasn't sure what I was walking into when I entered let me tell you I'm excited to stay & dine there next time! It's so quaint inside & they had several large families set up then broke down the tables to accommodate smaller parties. But it's not a huge place so you might have to wait should it be super busy. Service wait is moderate. I was told I might wait upwards of 20 min for my food - my drinks came out first (in an inventive plastic bag made for 2 drinks), then a few min later I was brought the sandwich, and maybe 5+ min later I was handed my phô - all in all I'd say it was around 15 min or less. They're closed on Tuesdays (this Yelp page of theirs doesn't have hours of operation so I wasn't sure they were open on Sundays when I stopped by) so pick any other day & patronize them - you'll be glad you did!!

Given that it was graduation weekend, we tried to give them some grace--but by the time we left, we were still hungry and pretty frustrated. After being seated, it took over 15 minutes for our server to take our drink order. She did mention she needed a few minutes, but 15+ felt excessive. Our appetizers even came out before my parents' wine arrived. We ordered the lamb meatballs and deviled eggs--both were just okay, but overall lacked flavor. Our apps arrived around 7:45 PM, and we placed our entrées shortly after. During the long gap between apps and dinner, we witnessed a few tense interactions between the host who seated us and our server. The host came across as very abrupt and rude, and honestly, we felt for our server in that moment. Our entrées didn't arrive until around 9 PM. While our server stopped by a few times to apologize and say the food would be out soon, we noticed multiple tables who were seated after us receiving their meals first--which was frustrating, especially as we were getting really hungry. We were close to leaving when our food finally arrived. The French onion soup had virtually no flavor--it was so disappointing I didn't eat it. I mentioned it to the server, and while she apologized, it wasn't removed from the bill despite clearly being untouched. The risotto was fine but again lacked flavor. The only somewhat enjoyable dish was my brother's chicken pesto, but even that came out room temperature. Overall, it was a disappointing experience--especially for what was supposed to be a celebratory dinner.
