Another weekend here with my cousin, nothing more spectacular than the usual visits. On some occasions it seems like when they're really busy and you have a few things you can complain about, then they give you the best service. Today when we came we were not expecting to have to wait on anything considering there were not many people in and the tables were already clean and ready for us to sit down. Walking in and sitting right down bring so much peace of mind when all you can think about is coffee. Our waiter was nice but she took her time with us and my waffle was not hot other than that I'll always come here when I'm on this side of town. My cousin may be tired of waffle house with me, but as long as I'm paying I'm sure he's coming! read more

The food was good, and our waitress was very nice and EXTREMELY patient, but the restaurant was a wreck. I was visiting from California; there on a Saturday night, after 2am which is technically Sunday morning ( and it was extremely busy, but I'll admit, my food was done correctly. HOWEVER. the employees were really frustrated, and they was definitely showing. This one particular waitress was yelling and cursing so loud in the restaurant. Yelling at the cooks, yelling at the fact that her table hasn't eaten yet, the entire restaurant can hear her, and the experience was so ghetto, unprofessional, and just disturbing. Once again: the food was great, but my friend wasn't able to have breakfast with me because they dropped her food on the floor while making it, and never made her another one until we asked for the check... I won't be here again, but NEE was really good at her job. read more

Pretty much a disaster every time I order to go and this is the last time. I placed an order for carry out after trying to call ten times and no one answered. After placing my order it was supposed to be ready in ten minutes. I arrive at Waffle House and they forgot to cook my order. After waiting for the cook to finish his lunchbreak as I watched him and waited, he finally decides to cook my meal. WTH? He ended up cooking most of my order wrong and then made me wait ten more minutes for hash browns which were also wrong. After placing my order on the phone, arriving ten minutes later and then waiting twenty minutes for them to cook the wrong food, I arrived home thirty minutes later with a cold burger, disgusting tasting hash browns and a promise that I would never return. read more

This is my first experience with Waffle House and it was OKAY. I got a cheese N' eggs with sausage and raisin toast. I got regular toast when it was delivered. I also ordered an orange juice. I've never in my life had a bad experience with orange juice, until now. It tasted like vodka and dish soap with a dash of orange cleaner in it. I can't express how bad this juice was. The food was pretty good. The bacon was perfectly crispy so I have to commend them for that. I tried my girlfriends waffle though and I thought since that's what the restaurant was called it would be exceptional...it had the consistency of play-doh. On top of all of this, my girl friend ordered and was charged for grits but never received any. Although the food was good, I won't be back. read more

Another place to strike off the food bucket list. I came in bright and early and sat down at the bar. Took a couple minutes to review the menu and ordered a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich with hash brown. I was trying not to go too heavy on the breakfast since I'd be in a meeting all day. I did not anticipate the bread to be soaked in butter, but damn was it good. I tried the hashed browns with the onions and cheese. I think I prefer the frozen deep fried hashbrowns than grilled hashed browns. I enjoyed the open kitchen and bar atmosphere. All the employees says good morning to every customer. I could tell several customers were regulars. Food was quick and everything served with good Ole fashion hospitality. Can't say I'm a fan yet but I'll definitely visit again if I have the opportunity. read more

Have always been a fan of Waffle House. Far & away my favorite place to eat. But this staff from the chefs to waitresses were so unorganized and aloof. They gave no concern to waiting patrons, would not clear tables, or serve like the are supposed to because they were too busy talking to friends in booths or flirting with waitresses and chefs. I had to walk out before I was even served because I realized how long my wait would be with this behavior. Shameful. Love Waffle House, just don't go to this location. read more

This is the worst place I've ever been. The waitress I had must've been over 80 and did not put the order in correctly as I got food I didn't order and my wife didn't get what she ordered The food was prepared very poorly and wasn't really even warm. We have eaten at other Waffle house locations in other states and had excellent service and food, but this location will never see us again. read more

I love me some Waffle House, I just wish they could keep their place a little cleaner than the ones I go to seem to be able to. The food is as good as anywhere, especially their breakfast items. But don't look too close, you will wish your table was wiped off a little better and if you have to wash your hands you might leave the bathroom with dirtier hands than when you came in. read more

My girlfriend and I love Waffle House; it's our guilty pleasure, and so, when we go we get really excited. After my experience at the Spring Valley location today, I will never be going back to that store, and here is why: We arrived around 12:45. Solid greeting at the door. We order, get our drinks, all fine. We both order the same dish, cheesy scrambled eggs with hashbrowns and sausage. Food comes--sausage FIVE minutes before the rest of the dish. I was not aware that breakfast sausage could be served as an appetizer. Main plate arrives, looking like a goddamn crime scene. The hashbrowns have clearly been scattered on the grill so that they would cook faster and hastily reconvened and plopped on the plate WAY undercooked, not even warm in the center, soggy, greasy, like a pile of nightcrawlers with a couple of redworms sprinkled in for color. Add a few waxworms and a sucker minnow and you've got yourself a bait shop. I expect one cohesive piece of hashbrowns that is crispy on both sides; it is the structural component of the breakfast that adds texture to contrast the eggs. The eggs, oh, the eggs. You see, these tricks for lazy short order cooking might work on a drunk at 2:30 am or some poor old man who has had the misfortune of eating crap food in rural Texas his entire life, but I WORK IN A RESTAURANT. I have cooked on a line for years. I know that when cooks just want to fire out the food without concern for quality, they add extra cheese to thicken a dish and fling it on the plate underdone. My eggs were slimy, gelatinous, a nasty amalgamation of egg-cheese hybrid diarrhea instead of the normal delightful fluffy clouds of scramble delicately connected by bits of cheese here and there. AND, they couldn't even be bothered for a plate wipe--cheesy nasty egg goo all over the edge of BOTH of my plates. Nice try, ass blood. The real kicker is, no quality checks whatsoever. I ate the sausage appetizer and my toast and left the rest on my plate. Waitress refills a beverage, no quality check. We go to pay, she just tells me the total. This is usually a last chance for a busy waitress to make sure everything went okay, but in this case the slowness of midday was too much for her to handle, so I handed over my card and requested a to-go tea, something that is usually offered to me at other locations, something I offer at my job because people really appreciate it in the TX heat and give you an extra buck or two on the tip. No managerial presence on the floor the entire time we were there; this is a corporate restaurant. I could see if the cook was in training, the food coming out the way it did, but in that case I would also expect a manager to be monitoring quality and the waitress to do the same, at least get it right the second time around. No quality check is inexcusable if someone is not eating their food. If this is the best this location can do, they are either all on drugs, don't give a shit, or are hurting for brain cells, hence the 20% pity tip I left. read more

Order anything and a waffle or two.....yeah Here's the deal. If you've been to ANY Waffle House, there's little I could share ya don't already know. They are all small, they all have great waffles, they are open all the time (I think). So for you newbies, like most left coast-ers that don't have these close by, it' s one of those places you just have to try. I would suggest at normal breakfast time and try.......try to remember this place at 1am when you need to feed. Come on, you know what talkin bout! To be honest: I was positively surprised and will remain as a loyal customer as the service (i think her name was chelly, she had a tattoo on the neck) and the food (steak and sunny side ups + OJ) were extraordinary good! As a younger man I spent many late nights sobering up over Waffle House breakfast, listening to the waitstaff back up a few feet and bellow orders at the short order cooks. There is some arcane Waffle House ordering lingo that I haven't sussed out yet. Doris, the alpha female of this WH location, has a nametag that says something like "WH Associate for 34yrs". Sweet Jesus. She is a rockin' waitress, loves the Dallas Stars and the hockey playing chimp. Ask her about the Stars and get her all cranked up... If you can get a booth away from the counter I would do it. The dishwashing noises at the counter are "pistol at close range" decibel readings. My personal recommendation: hash browns, scattered and smothered. I may have just talked myself into a second dinner. Dammit. Call me biased, I'm from the south. We love us some Waffle House. You know what I want in a Waffle House, other than delicious waffles? Clearly non-city folk working behind the counter, a waitress that calls me "sug'", and a jukebox with bad music. This has it all. Except the jukebox. They replaced it with a digital "internet jukebox" that's basically a top 40 machine. Where my Johnny Cash and Creedance? Where's my Waffle House songs!?!? (I'm a waffle you're a waffle...) Today, August 9, 2022, I ate between the times of 11 pm and 11:45 pm. My server was Serena, an African American female. The other server there, whose name I do not recall, is an African-American female with blonde hair, who is celebrating her 26th birthday this Thursday. In the midst of a conversation between Serena and the other waitress, Serena said she "whoops" her child. I asked Serena the child's age to which she replied "two years." I then asked with what? She replied "with a belt." Serena and the other server continued their conversation of infant whooping as though the practice was perfectly acceptable. I gave Serena a look of contempt as I stood by the register to check out. Serena at this time told the other waitress that "he's no longer allowed to eat here." I can only imagine she was talking about me. I will report this to corporate, and I am contemplating on reporting it to authorities. read more

I'm rating this one star not for the food - Waffle House food is good, because it's simple, and I always get the same things - hash browns with ham and a bacon waffle. A bacon waffle, in case you didn't know, is when you buy an order of bacon and have them chop it and put it in a waffle. It's really good, and something I have enjoyed at this location for many years. Until tonight, when a fry cook named Moriah decided that he wasn't going to make it. He threw a tantrum and raised his voice to me when I told him I had bought and consumed this very item here before. He got even more upset, raising his voice at his co workers who were telling him to do it. The waitresses had to call the manager on the phone, and they agreed, and told him to make the waffle. He grudgingly went back to work, burned my bacon and hash browns, and dumped the bacon into 1/5 of the waffle, and undercooked it at that. Listen. This is a Waffle House. I asked for a waffle. It won't damage the machine, I have eaten these all over the country, in waffle houses for 20 years. I have sometimes had to explain how to do it, and had to ask sweetly, but generally there is no problem. I have never been yelled at for my order at any Waffle House before. As I write this, I am the only customer in the Waffle House, and Moriah is sulking in the back, sometimes peeking out the window angrily to see if I am gone. read more

The service was the worst! The first red flag was the dirty cups. Then the lackluster waitress brown skinned with the mermaid blue teal Ombre hair and the Aries tattoo on her left eye! She was messing up our orders! She was touching her hair and not wearing gloves/washing hands while handling food. The waffles were burnt and cold at the same time! My cousin's omelet looked burnt and dry! Her toast was dry as straws! She told the waitress to put the food in the plastic containers and I saw her put my waffle touch the plate then put it in a container! Every time she messed up she said. "Oh shit!" My mother's sandwich had Bacon and she didn't order that! She forgets to make our waffles, especially my cousin's blueberry one.
