I am very sorry to give such a low review of a local restaurant. I have been here several times but…read moretoday took guests. We arrived on a Sunday before 8 am. We were greeted by a wonderful young lady who looked around at all the empty tables and said, "Sit anywhere!" We looked around at all the available tables and chose a round four seater by the door. As we were sitting down, an older lady who appeared to be the manager said not that one! You have to sit at a square table. I looked around and only four of the 12 tables in the room had guests. I asked why and she said it is a rule because if a group of five or more come in they need the round table. I looked at three large round empty tables that could seat five or more. I asked to speak to the manager or owner and she replied she is not here and walked off. We went to a square table and had our meal. Only two other people came in while we were there and the same lady told them to sit anywhere. The food was good, the young people who served us were excellent but the manager was rude, devoid of any concept of the importance of good customer service and unyielding in her effort to follow her rule. Had I been alone, I would have left. I definitely will not go back.

We went here for breakfast over the weekend and it won't be our last trip. We met some family here and the place was packed. The tables are small four person tables and there were six of us and they wasted no time at getting comfortably seated. The dining area is small and it was very busy and crowded however, that didn't prevent us from having great service. We ordered and the food was delivered promptly and our waitress was very attentive which amazed me c how busy they were. I had a mixture of things that I put together kinda ala cart if you will. Two biscuits with sausage gravy, two eggs, sausage patties, and home fries. Let's just say that I wasn't expecting the amount of food that I received. The biscuits were huge and the gravy was perfect. The portions were more than what I expected. The place has a great vib and is decorated very neglectful with various things from Madi Gras to mermaid paintings and lots of signage. The parking is ample and easy to get in and out of. So if you're in the Mandeville area definitely stop by and give them a try.

Crazy Pig has an excellent menu for breakfast with lots of different options We went on a Sunday morning I got one of the omelettes I think mine was the lean omelette Everything comes with bread and or biscuit I can't eat bread or biscuit so our waiter offered me avocado and tomatoes, which were a perfect choice to go with my omelette Most restaurant places that I've been to usually just remove the item without offering a substitution I was so happy with the alternate options I spoke with the owner to let her know that I appreciate having the tomato and the avocado instead of the bread and the biscuit. Then she told me that they just had a class on food allergies This is really exceptional that a restaurant is taking up their own initiative to learn about food allergies so that they can service their customers with better care While the food is definitely excellent with the capacity to offer different options for the different dietary needs that people have and the staff is educated, I just wish that they had better coffee at the Mandeville location like a cappuccino or a café latte Still an excellent choice
