Waffle House is one of those places that is a staple in the south! Every time I see one, I want to stop in. I've only ever had breakfast at them. Near where I was staying are 3 locations. I chose this one because it had the highest rating on Yelp. I chose well! The food was scrumptious and plentiful! I got the All-Star Special with 2 eggs, bacon, toast, grits, and a waffle. There is a 50 cents upgrade charge for the Pecan Waffle. I don't often get grits in Los Angeles, CA, so I'm happy to have them when I can. The grits I had here were excellent! I ate the entire serving! I had coffee to kick off my breakfast. The coffee was really good! Everything was yummy! I had leftovers which I took home to eat the next morning! Waffle House was started by two neighbors, Joe Rogers Sr. and Tom Forkner. The first one was opened in 1955 in Georgia. Today, there are more than 1,900 locations in 25 states. We came on a Sunday morning and we were blessed to have just about the most adorable waitress you can ever imagine. Tiny little teeny young thing, with a smile and a bubbly personality that just shone like crazy. She put up with the 5 of us pretty much ordering everything under the sun. I wish there was a way to give a no star review because that's what this Waffle House deserves!!! I went to this location over the weekend and was extremely disappointed, and upset by the time I left. One of my friends ordered a chicken melt bowl with no onions. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese bowl. The amount of time it took to get our food was ridiculous considering we were the only 3 customers in the restaurant... When the waitress brought our food we were all a little taken back as all the food was overcooked and one of my friends food was actually so overcooked it was burnt and not what she ordered. My bowl was also loaded with onions and it doesn't even come with onions. The waitress came back to the table and my friend told her that her food was overcooked and the waitress just walked away from her...WHAT... We sat there for a few moments when the cook came over and asked us what was wrong with the food my friend said her food was overcooked and he left and returned and put to go containers on the table. We didn't think much about it at the time, but looking back I feel he was telling us to leave. At some point the waitress returned to the table asked if we needed anything and my friend asked if we could get the bill and she said "NO". WHAT!!! Then the cook came to the table and said you are to never come to this Waffle House again. WHAT!!! What was going on here we were so confused and lost... 3 friends go to enjoy a bite to eat and end up with this drama...UNACCEPTABLE!!! My friend then went to the counter and asked the waitress again for the bill and she refused to give her the bill. All we could think of was this is some sort of control issue and they were setting us up. Looking back we should have recorded some of it on our phones...I think we were just taken back by the while situation. We finally left and I'm sure if your reading this you can guess what happens next...a police officer pulled up and asked us what we were doing and we said just heading home. He the proceeded to inform us we were banned from this Waffle House per the Waffke House staff. Never in my life have I been so upset for what...the Waffle House employees getting our orders wrong and burning our food and then subjected to their intimidating behavior. The food was great, but it took them about an hour to get our to go order out. When I got to the register the receipt said that the meal was $58 and she asked if I'd like a copy and I said no(like an idiot) and paid N left didn't leave a tip because of how long it took. Great food and the best fountain coke in town. But the damnedest thing happens. I have been here twice and both times the calculator " sticks" when they add up the bill It would be easier to pull off if they did it for a couple of bucks but it was 20 this time and 15 last time. This was probably the best Waffle House I've ever been too. Our waitress made sure our food was exactly how we wanted it! We got our drinks and food pretty quick. If you are baby and people often call you a whiner then get the hell out of my waffle house dinner. This particular waffle house had the the usual grease coating on everything in it. The staff here was awesome very quick to take our order and tended to my coffee about every 4th sip. They even brought coloring books for my child I probably used them more then her but the gesture itself was cool. I can't complain about the state of the place because they are serving 100 people plus an hour it seems like. So for them to keep in the state that its in is impressive. My favorite is the Texas cheese steak with 3 eggs medium. So if you aren't a pansy and are looking for a quick gritty and greasy start to your day....GO WAFFLE HOUSE!!! read more

I just can't get into it. It's dirty, and dirty, and the food is forgettable. The one thing I see it's got going for itself is that it's 24 hours. It's the perfect after hours, stumble in drunk, need a greasy meal type place. I've never been to Waffle House until I moved down here, and I've given them 2 chances. I think that's all they are getting out of me, sober at least. There are other places to go in Milton if your looking for an actual breakfast type meal. It had been a long time since I had been to a Waffle House. We decided to stop by the one in Pace, Florida a couple of weeks ago and had an absolutely wonderful experience. This Waffle House has extremely friendly servers. Our Server Alexa was attentive, friendly, funny, and entertaining. We went back again this morning and sat at one of the tables that is connected to the kitchen. We were very impressed with our young server, Robert!
