I was shown a menu from Another Broken Egg Cafe in picture form first, and what I saw there was fully validated once the food hit the table. There's very little that feels "simple" here--almost everything has an elevated twist, and it's worth leaning into those upgrades. Take the grits, for example--adding Gouda, chorizo, green onion, and pico turned something basic into a standout dish. From the chorizo and cheese omelette to the crawfish and shrimp omelette, everything felt thoughtfully built. Even the sides impressed--the biscuits and gravy were solid, and the pancakes had subtle touches of cinnamon and what tasted like anise that set them apart. Drinks followed the same pattern. Whether it was the half-price mimosa or a caramel cold brew, nothing felt standard--everything had a bit of a "foodie" upgrade to it. This is a great stop if you like variety and creative takes on breakfast. Still great food and service, portions have become smaller, however, and open/friendly atmosphere an average prices. I brought the whole family, including 2 kids and a baby. My kids are picky, but always love this place. Courtney, our server, was absolutely perfect without being too imposing. My only critique is the chicken and waffles had fairly small portions of chicken. It was fine for my kiddo, but small for an adult. My wife and I each split 2 of their seasonal items, corned beef and hash fish, and Louisiana shrimp Benedict. Both were incredible, I preferred the Benedict and my wife preferred the corned beef. One of my kids ordered the adult chicken and waffles, which didn't look very good, but he enjoyed it. My other kiddo ordered chicken tenders and beignets and was happy. We stopped in for our first time for breakfast and I am sure it won't be our last. Jenny was our server and she did an excellent job. She went over the menu and explained to us their harvest specials and answered all our questions about the menu. They have such an excellent selection of breakfast items and every plate that walked past our table looked so delicious. We were thrilled with our Benedict's that we picked out and the crabcake Benedict was all crab and so delicious. My husband had the smoked salmon Benedict, and it was gone in a flash. We are visit from NYC and finding a nice brunch spot in Pensacola is not as easy as it is in big city's. But this little spot is a real gem! The food was soooooo good, and the drinks!? We went here during the week before 9 am and we were seated right away. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the Supreme Omelette- sausage, bacon, onions and mushrooms, topped with Cheddar Jack cheese. Everything was delicious! Lack of attention from hostess to clean the table. No actual cups; they had plastic cups... but everyone else had glass cups before and after us, odd enough. The Waitress eventually cleaned it after a few mins. I Ordered the jameason Bloody Mary. That was very good. I also ordered the Mardi Gras omelette. It was decent. It tastes just as you imagine. My wife and i went there twice. The first time the potatoes were burnt and the beignet was was undercooked. Everything else was fabulous so we overlooked it. We went again a day or so later and the potatoes were, again, burnt and the beignet was cooked well on the outside but uncooked dough on the outside. We told Clay, our server, and he brought out another serving that were still undercooked inside. Also, $4.29 for a 12oz soda is ridiculous. After a fairly long wait, we received our food. The hash brown benedict was quite small with 2 extremely small hard eggs on top and a small dish of potatoes on the side. Had a fabulous experience at this Gregory St location. Heather's service was kind, attentive and quick. Coffee cup never ran out. Food was extremely tasty! Got the Southwest Scramble (the one with chorizo) but had them make it into an omelet. Potato seasoning was so good, no ketchup was needed. They even allowed me to stay and read after I was finished.
