The food here is pretty mediocre. Pancakes were dry and hard, as well as the waffles. The chicken isn't really flavorful. The tequila sunrise tasted like juice. The eggs and chicken sausage is pretty good though. Our server was good. Just a heads up, there is a large party fee and a 2.75% fee if you pay with a card. This place is okay if you just want a basic breakfast . read more

So good, we are breakfast here twice! The atmosphere is so welcoming and has a southern charm. Everything we ate was delicious! The first attempt of the hash brown Benedict came out with hard boiled eggs on top (not exaggerating) what was supposed to be poached eggs. Thankfully, I showed our server and he took it back and got me a replacement quickly with two properly poached eggs! Excellent service in that aspect. The wait was not long, lots of people waiting but we were seated for a family of 8 pretty fast. The waitress was sweet and the food was good. My favorite was the biscuit and pancake. Didn't even need syrup! The decor in the restroom was cute too. Nice and clean. We will be back! read more

My wife and i went there twice. The first time the potatoes were burnt and the beignet was was undercooked. Everything else was fabulous so we overlooked it. We went again a day or so later and the potatoes were, again, burnt and the beignet was cooked well on the outside but uncooked dough on the outside. We told Clay, our server, and he brought out another serving that were still undercooked inside. Also, $4.29 for a 12oz soda is ridiculous. They also charge a convenience fee if you pay with a card. read more

Time for brunch! Delicious food! The wait was about 45 minutes but that's to be expected on a Sunday at brunch. Once we were seated the food came fairly quickly and we were pleased with everything. I had the soft shell crab scrambler and it was delicious! Soft shell crab on top of scrambled eggs? Yes please! My only complaint is the server asked would I like city grits or butter grits and told me what city grits were and I said city grits. She didn't mention that it was a $4.49 up charge for a few green onions and some peppers. Other than that everything was great! read more

We stopped in for quick breakfast today, seated within 10 minutes. Server promptly took our order. 1 had the waffle, 1 had the "skinny " breakfast and I had the hash brown benedict. After a fairly long wait, we received our food. The hash brown benedict was quite small with 2 extremely small hard eggs on top and a small dish of potatoes on the side. I ask the server to please remake the dish with the proper poached eggs on top, which she did. Overall, not a very impressive dish, very small and blah. Over priced @$15.99!. The other 2 dishes were ok. But $64.99 for 3 breakfast's I thought was pretty expensive read more

I recommend their "summer sips": Chocolate Raspberry Cold Brew. It was the PERFECT amount of sweetness, and each flavor was present. Extremely refreshing, and a stellar combination. The service was fantastic, very caring, checked on us frequently and allowed plenty of time for the table to socialize. The environment was cozy, and the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. Had a fabulous experience at this Gregory St location. Heather's service was kind, attentive and quick. Coffee cup never ran out. Food was extremely tasty! Got the Southwest Scramble (the one with chorizo) but had them make it into an omelet. Potato seasoning was so good, no ketchup was needed. They even allowed me to stay and read after I was finished. Highly recommend this place for excellent food, kind service and overall great value. Also, restrooms were bright and clean. read more

I know this is a chain, and sometimes gets a bad wrap. But my experience was phenomenal, great service that was fast and efficient had the shrimp and grits, and they were right on point. As usual my fav app Yelp helped us find this restaurant for breakfast. Nice and clean restaurant w plenty of parking in downtown Pensacola. Friendly staff. We ordered the hot chocolate and Rwandan coffee which were really good.. lots of good choices on the menu. Had a tough time picking what I wanted as I wanted something authentic for Pensacola And out waitress guided me as to which one I should pick I had the Lobster and Brie Omelette and my hubby had the sausage and fennel omelette. Came here for breakfast on a busy morning but they got us in pretty quickly. Our waiter was attentive despite it being busy and he was willing to adjust my order after I asked my eggs be cooked a little longer. They accidentally brought the wrong meal out to my husband but they quickly rectified it and brought him his correct meal. One of the managers even came by our table to make sure we were good and ensured my order would be back out right away. The beignets are not too big and they are tasty and our meals were good. The best thing about this place was the customer service, so I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good breakfast spot. read more

I just want to say the rating is based off of what I got to eat. I choose to have the Monterey Power Omelette and it is a hard PASS. The only positives about my meal was the biscuit and the fruit were delicious. The actual omelette flavors just did not work at all together. On the other hand everybody else and their mommas food around me looked delicious! I should have had the French toast that I had my eye on or the broken egg chicken biscuit . My mom had the traditional breakfast and truly enjoyed the potatoes that came with it. Service was great especially with them being busy. Our server made sure we had no trash on our table and room for our plates. read more

We absolutely love dining at Another Broken Egg. We always have amazing food, service & coffee. This trip I had the Pumpkin waffles which were incredible. My husband isn't a fan of pumpkin flavored things and he enjoyed these. The pecans and the cinnamon butter gave these waffles the little something extra. So good. My husband had the Lobster Benedict and and Irish coffee. The Benedict was on an everything bagel and the asparagus was sautéed to perfection. The lobster was in a bisque like sauce and was delicious and had the perfect amount of spices. Once again, we enjoyed everything here. You can also buy one of these adorable coffee mugs. The folks working today were great. We came with suitcases in hand because we had Uber drop us off on the way to the airport. They found us a place to sit where we could have our bags with us. They all were very kind and attentive. This place came via multiple suggestions from people we spoke with. My wife and I each ordered an omelette. She chose the lobster omelette and I had the Florida omelette with crab. I will say her omelette was much more flavorful than mine. Mine was somewhat bland. The potatoes were cooked perfectly. Let's talk about the next thing that made this visit perfect: the service! Top notch! They were all so knowledgeable and friendly and accommodating. We came with our two children and my two year old was extremely fussy; the server offered to bring us a to-go box for our food after she promptly fell asleep in the booth. My oldest (4.5) ordered avocado toast. I had ordered all the fix-ins on the side and they accidentally made it with everything on top. They were quick to apologize and remake it. Then my oldest had her meltdown because she is 4.5 and we were sitting too long and it was too loud and the avocado toast was not like how she was used to. She started to cry and the COOK of all people came over and asked if she was okay and how could he make it better and was just so warm and kind and I was completely BLOWN away at how willing he was to make it right. I mean, they were so BUSY as it was Sunday brunch. So he made her a special avocado toast just how she liked it. Our server was also just so sweet and brought us boxes and kept things moving in such a compassionate way without making us feel bad about our children just falling apart. Everyone was so sweet and it reminded us of why we go there! Everyone in our party also loved their food too. Definitely would recommend it to everyone!

Next time, we're thinking a Grouper sandwich as they were being enjoyed at two tables next to us and looked delicious. Our breakfast entrees arrived quickly. The omelette came with a choice of side and I chose the potatoes. They were seasoned but a bit cold and hard. Brooke offered to swap them out when checking on us, but by that time, I was filling up from the large packed omelette. It was filled with pork, peppers, onions and cheese with more spicy, sweet pork on top. I wish the entrees came with toast. The shrimp and grits were served over gouda grits as requested and the dish was spicy and filling. Definitely one of the best we tried in a while. Drinks were refilled promptly and Brooke took care of her guests quickly and with a smile.

Today, however, they missed the mark and I feel compelled to provide some constructive criticism, as I wouldn't want to see this otherwise good restaurant fail. I had the Caprese Sandwich with Grilled Chicken + Caesar Salad and sparkling water, which cost me $40 with the tip. Rather pricey for a lunch, but it's Friday and I felt like treating myself, so no big deal. Except the food was rather underwhelming, and unnecessarily so. It felt as if they had the right idea and the right ingredients but failed pretty miserably in the execution. First, the sandwich. I picked it up and drove straight to work (5 min drive), which apparently was enough time for the bread to become completely saturated with water from the burrata cheese, to the point where it looked and had the texture of soggy bread pudding and it was entirely impossible to hold it together. I had to eat it with a fork, which was inconvenient and disappointing. This seems like a very obvious recipe flaw, as the burrata has high moisture content and needs to be coupled with a more sturdy bread, such as a focaccia. Overall, I'd give it 1/5 for presentation. Moving onto the chicken. It was cooked very well and the taste was there, but it looked extremely unappealing, as it was almost entirely BLACK and not because it was burned, but because it was just fully covered in charcoal specks, presumably from the grill, which perhaps hadn't been cleaned in a while. I specifically asked for the grilled and NOT blackened chicken, so I was very confused and initially thought that they just cooked it the wrong way, but upon closer inspection, it became obvious to me the black specks were not seasoning but plain charcoal residue. To make matters worse, these specks had contaminated all the other ingredients as well, which I found pretty gross. It certainly did not meet basic expectations, especially for the price point. I'd give it 2/5, because it was edible and the chicken was otherwise well cooked and flavored, even if a bit gross to look at. Additionally, both the sandwich and side salad were heavily drenched in sauce/dressing. The l Caesar salad, which was very small (about the size of a small cup of soup), had very few pierces of lettuce mixed in with a disproportionately large amount of dressing and cheese, which was not only very overpowering but it made the salad really soggy. It basically felt like eating plain Caesar dressing. 2/5 because the dressing tasted good, but there was simply too much of it, and since it was already mixed in, I couldn't fix it in any way. I ended up not eating it. I hope the owners can see this and pass it onto their chefs/cooks, as I've met them and I know they're very sweet and caring people. Everyone can have a bad day, and I'm hoping this was just a one-off, and everything will be great again next time.

The beans were also undercooked and under-seasoned. Nothing was bad, exactly. It just lacked the punch that the menu had promised. And that's the frustrating part. There is clearly a cool concept here, and the menu has enough personality to make you expect something memorable. The plate just didn't deliver the same energy as the room. Maybe I'm simply outside the target demographic. There seemed to be a pretty strong twenty-something surf/skate crowd, and perhaps I'm just not fluent in the culinary dialect of that demographic yet. Interesting place. Interesting concept. Interesting vibes. Friendly/helpful staff. Pretty average food.

I am retired and live in Pensacola and detest cooking breakfast! I know all the eateries and frequent most regularly. The stand-out exception to the group is the "Another Broken Egg" in Pensacola off Gregory St. The dining room has just the right number of booths and table to provide comfortable seating without the claustrophobic feeling of being on top of other diners. They also offer a sit-down bar area for quick in and out or "single" customer accommodations. The breakfast selection, quantity, freshness, flavor, value and temperature upon arrival (due to expeditors), are not to be beat!!! That covers the food and facilities portion of my review so now it is time for the service portion. All the servers are polite, truly concerned about your experience and are always checking on you (without being pushy) by stopping by occasionally but always attempting to make eye contact whenever they move into the dining room from the kitchen or after taking an order, refilling a beverage or dropping off a condiment, etc. I have had most of the staff wait on my wife and I, all are good but Sherri is by and far our favorite! She possesses all the aforementioned traits as well as a keen ability to anticipate your needs and does so with an infectious positive outlook. The owners Linda and Hugo are generally always on the premises and always check on each table during the dining experience. I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying a good meal and pleasant atmosphere whenever you are in town or like myself, just don't want to cook! Bon Appetit! read more

The owners Homer and Linda show there sincerity in wanting you to have a good experience, and work hard to make that happen. The restaurant is kept very clean, and is relatively new with comfortable decorations and very tastefully done from the exterior to the restrooms. They have meals from fancy to simple. The servers are genuinely happy to work here. And they show it with simple gracious courtesy. The air is light and friendly. If you come late you may have to wait, but they set up a free coffee table in the entranceway and come around with platters of various types of delicious mini-muffins from cranberry, pistachio, banana nut, blueberry etc. to help with the wait. Say hello to Debbie or Anna who will greet you at the front door... The cooks and back of house may not be public but they do an outstanding job. After cheering on a great friend finishing her 2nd Pensacola Half Marathon today we went to Another Broken Egg. We typically go to Another Broken Egg after running and run events. We checked in at Another Broken Egg in Pensacola using the No Wait App. For the first time the No Wait App did not complete check in successfully, however; Amanda and Alexa were very courteous and asked Stefan to assist us with getting seated expeditiously. Stefan then highly recommended the special Lemon Poppy-seed Pound Cake French Toast. I usually order the Standard Breakfast but being a huge fan of lemon could not resist the recommendation. Our service has always been excellent at Another Broken Egg, today, is was OUTSTANDING. Heather congratulated my friend for her achievement and guaranteed any concerns I had about trying the Lemon Poppy-seed Pound Cake French Toast instead of the Standard Breakfast will be forgotten once I start eating. I recently visited here for the second time. The first was a date with my beautiful wife for breakfast and we were so impressed with the service and outstanding food that we couldn't wait to go back with our kids. And go back we did! And not just with our kids but with our friends and their kids as well. All together we had 5 adults and 7 kids. The food was amazing, the service extraordinary and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Id like to pay special attention to our server Alyssa, she is truly a master of her craft. Not only was all of our orders perfect bit she was warm and friendly with everyone. I know from experience how difficult a large group can be especially with lots of kids. But Alyssa handled it with grace and poise. An establishment's servers can make or break a restaurant. And Another Broken Egg Cafe is lucky to have her as it's ambassador to the public. Another Broken Egg is our favorite place for breakfast since we moved to FL couple of months ago and we don't care to drive couple of miles away from our town across the bridge to enjoy breakfast in Pensacola. Since our first visit we have enjoyed the most delicious food and seasonal menu but it isn't only the menu that keep us coming back but the service. We've always enjoyed great service and Brent has always been our favorite server, he's not only very attentive but very personable! During one of our first visits, we asked him about places around Pensacola to buy antiques, furniture, etc and his recommendations were great. Today like anytime we drive all the way from the other side of the bridge to Pensacola, we had a delicious breakfast -one of the best crab cakes Benedict in town and the kiddos loved their Mardi Grass pancakes- and once again, Brent advised us about great places to visit for our Saturday around the town. I have had the pleasure of eating there 3 times and each time was a culinary pleasure! The wait to be seated can be long but so worth it - besides there is complimentary fresh hot coffee in the foyer and the staff brings out fresh baked muffins to enjoy while waiting to be seated. All the muffins taste great but the pistachio muffins are amazing. Always ordered a different entree and each one was a treat. Especially love the poached eggs over a black bean pattie with hollandaise sauce. Also the staff is exceptional. The bartender Kathy is extremely well versed on all the different drinks offered and more than willing to let you know what is in what and how they are made. A big plus-Kathy was both very friendly but yet still very professional. Came in for breakfast on Tuesday with my daughter and her hubby. We were seated in Michael's section and let me tell you, what a delightful way to start the day. Michael made fantastic recommendations (get the fruit plate to start, it is pineapple, grapes and strawberries served in a gorgeously carved cantaloupe served with strawberry yogurt for dipping!). I told him I wanted something light and he recommended the steel cut oatmeal served with blackberries and strawberries with a side of local honey and fresh grated cinnamon. YUM! My daughter and son-in-law both got the Traditional with corn beef hash and both LOVED it. I generally do not eat in chain restaurants, but there are exceptions. Another Broken Egg is one of those exceptions. Wait time estimated at 30 minutes, but got in in about 20 minutes. There was plenty of coffee at the entrance for those waiting to be seated. After a few minutes, samples appeared for those waiting. The menu was diverse and appealing. Omelets were well prepared and tasty. Son had the Floridian and loved it. My "crabstacks" order was delicious and there was more there than I needed to eat. By the way, we did sample each others' dishes. The wait staff was very pleasant and helpful. We each had tasty screwdrivers (fresh orange juice) with breakfast. After all, it was after 9:00am and we were on vacation! Overall, the restaurant was inviting and the food was quite good. This place was awesome! We stayed across the street at a nearby hotel and walked over for breakfast Saturday morning. Hadn't ordered a few of their signature breakfast cocktails from the bar but a few moments before we were shown to our seats. Michelle greeted us shortly afterwards and was devastatingly considerate! Having spent many a day back when I was younger waiting tables, I couldn't help but notice her keen attention to detail and how attentive she was!! She was virtually prescient as she anticipated our every culinary need and desire!! She's clearly one of the tops in her field! We have been here twice and it has never disappointed us one bit! It was pretty packed the first time we went, on a Saturday but we were able to get a table relatively fast. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. I had the biscuits and gravy with sausage patties and a side of city grits. Biscuits and gravy were delicious, extremely flavorful and filling in true Southern style. My husband ordered the eggs blackstone benedict and that was really good as well. The second time we ended up going on a Sunday and the wait time was definitely longer (an hour and a half) but trust me: the food is worth the wait. I got the crab cake benedict (and oh my god, the eggs were poached to perfection) and more city grits! Leaving Pensacola yesterday, we discovered a fantastic breakfast/brunch eatery called "Another Broken Egg Cafe." Southern/Cajun inspired entrees that we're great. My wife had Peach Cobbler pancakes filled with honey-roasted granola, topped with peach compote and whipped cream. I had the "Hey Lucy" omelette - breakfast chorizo, onions and green chilies, topped with Cheddar Jack cheese and avocado. We shared a bowl of "City Grits" - traditional southern grits infused with melted Smoked Gouda cheese, roasted garlic and onion, topped with baked bacon, chives and tomatoes. I have visited the café several times with friends, and the food is always excellent and the servers friendly and helpful. Today, I went in alone and in the mid-morning. The Mardi Gras omelet, my favorite there, was exquisite, as always, and my server, Michelle, was in fine form. When I said I didn't want toast or muffin, she offered me sliced tomatoes; when I said no to the grits, she substituted a couple of gluten-free pancakes made of rice flour, which she served hot and with a jug of warm syrup -- yum! That kind of service is, truly, above and beyond expectations. When I said I would be back on Sunday with a friend, she recommended I download the Nowait app to my phone, which I promptly did. Our party of three had an excellent breakfast this morning! The wait was shorter than predicted and there was complimentary coffee. While we waited, someone came around with a tray of delicious mini muffins! We were seated by our server, Cathy C. She had a great personality and managed our experience well by keeping us informed of what was going on. She seemed happy to be at work this morning, which is refreshing! Our food was all delicious! The pecan praline french toast was good, though too sugary for me. My husband loved it. The veggie omelette was very good and the goat cheese complimented it nicely. I got buttermilk pancakes with fruit on top (not this way on the menu but I mentioned our server was awesome) and they were fluffy and amazing! The bacon was crispy and perfect. CAN I RATE TEN INSTEAD ??! Today marked my first day of allowing Another Broken Egg Cafe to bless me with their greatness! The staff here were amazing to say THE LEAST! They welcomed my wife and I as soon as we arrived in the most genuine way and took us to a table. I tried the Irish Coffee Pancakes and I must say if you haven't tried them you must stop what you are doing and try it now! Lana waited on us and also helped calm my indecisiveness when she recommended these delicious pancakes. I also ordered scrambled eggs and bacon with the French Roast Iced Coffee (and yes I kept the mug because I mean why not??). My wife ordered the chicken and waffles along with the potatoes, which was AMAZING as well! I am so excited for my next trip to Pensacola just to eat here again! My family and I had been on vacation in Pensacola, we had some good food but nothing compared to Another Broken Egg Cafe. The food was amazing, the service was great, everything was very cleanly. I had the Floridian omelette which was out of this world, I paired it with the city grits which were the best grits I have ever had. My dad had the southwest omelette, they make their own in house salsa and guacamole. He normally puts hot sauce on everything but loved the flavor so much he didn't need it. Ronnie was our waiter he was great, he even recommended a couple things to do in the area and the veterans memorial was a beautiful recommendation. We will definitely be back the next time we are visiting, I highly suggest you check this place out you will not be disappointed. read more

Even though the food was good. I was pretty disappointed with the wait list policy. I've been to several broken eggs and never had to deal with the debacle of the "no wait" list. We arrived and it was busy as expected but when we arrived without a reservation and no idea that this location did the online wait list junk. We were quoted a 75 minute wait and there were maybe 10 people physically waiting at the restaurant. For over 2 hours we watched as people who weren't there just walked in, checked in and were seated. For a restaurant that "doesn't take reservations" the waitlist policy is just poor form. We waited over 2 hours and 15 minutes to be seated. Definitely go for the food..but it better be a day they aren't busy! read more

This is a restaurant with amazing breakfast dishes in a great atmosphere. The Destin location is too crowded and they could use a larger space so people don't have to wait so long. All of the Broken Egg locations are fantastic although the menus vary slightly. The chicken ceasar salad is fantastic and LaFitte's Tortilla is a nice mexican breakfast dish. The kids always love The Little Rooster! They used to have an excellent Apple Brie appetizer that was fabulous but took it off of the menu. Also used to have nice salmon benny with an actual salmon filet but they replaced it with sliced smoked salmon; definite downgrade! Also used to have fresh squeezed orange juice but no longer. First impressions are lasting impressions. By far the best place to eat breakfast in Pensacola. We have gone to Ruby Slipper multiple times but we will go to Another Broken Egg from now on. The food is excellent and the amount of food you receive for the price you pay is exactly what all customers want. I hate grits but Another Broken Egg changed that once I had their grits. If you leave hungry, then it is your own fault. The staff is hospitable and polite and the owners walk around speaking to the customers and are not afraid to get their hands dirty and help the staff. The dining room is clean and homey. If you have only one chance to eat breakfast in Pensacola, choose Another Broken Egg Cafe! read more

I had the seasonal Smoked Salmon scrambler, and , like their usual fare, it was ALMOST too much to eat, great flavor. The plate is well thought out as far as flavors go, but watch out if you like your salmon a bit more done and order accordingly. Don't get the city grits with the plate, as it's a bit too much. Cheese and butter will add just enough of a base savory flavor to properly anchor the rest. My SO had a waffle with the bourbon sauce(usually for pancakes) to cut down the serving size to something easier to finish, and no complaints there. BLT+A was decent, but my daughter is 15, so it was hard to read her reaction. All in all, Great way to start the morning! read more

What a wonderful place to eat!! Mr . Homer met us at the door with hot, fresh cooked muffins! All I could say was, "Yes, Please!" Excellent Service: Michelle was on top of everything we needed, from topping off our beverages to making sure our food was perfect during our visit. She's so friendly that we will request to sit in her area the next time we dine at Another Broken Egg. Excellent food: I was hungry for pancakes. With Michelle's suggestion, I selected the Blueberry & Goat Cheese Pancakes. They arrived steaming hot, loaded with blueberries and goat cheese!! They were Fabulous!! I think my servers name was Erin but honestly that humidity had my brain a little @%#*! . The beignets came out 1st. They looked like little donut holes. Served with a honey marmalade. It came with 4 and they were so good. Perfect size to dip in the marmalade. I would order these again and again! 1/2 order comes with 4. The omelette needed some work though. It wasn't terrible but had no flavor. Only flavor I tasted was the crawfish. Thank goodness for the hot sauce they had on the table. Made it taste way better. The grits were good. Had cheese bacon and scallions. I would recommend this place if you're in town or even if you live there. They serve alcoholic drinks as well. Menu items include a lot of Louisiana or Nola type food.

However the hash browns weren't hash browns, but country style potatoes. My eggs were cooked perfectly but my husband's sausage patties over cooked and dry. The coffee was great. The service was very good and friendly. The inside was so cute and bright. It even had a mock up of the Pensacola water tower inside. Bar seating had cute yellow chairs. If you love local this is a good stop for breakfast.
