Al fresco dining, 83, light ocean breeze, beautiful...
    Cheri Y.

This is an adorable little ladies cafe, a few blocks from the sea, set in a fabulous lux tropical garden setting. You want to do lunch here when the weather is perfect, sun shining, flowing dress, sun glasses on... It's housed in a beautiful, dreamy stucco, southern style building/an old railway building, in old downtown Pensacola, Florida, the trains still roll by, you can see them from the gorgeous, garden surround patio, the light salty sea breeze & Magnolias lingering in the air.. Inside is very chic, beautifully designed, however it's the outdoor patio setting that is très magnifique ! When entering, you park in a private courtyard garden & walk right up to the umbrella lined patio where you will find a large stone fountain. (didn't have any water in it while I was there thou) However, a very beautiful historic area in the city of 5 flags: Spain, France, Britain, the Confederacy, and US Flags have all flown here... FYI: It's attached to high end shopping/home furnishing/unique shopping. So, if your planning on doing some high end retail therapy or just want to Fanny about with the ladies & have a Decadent Dessert & coffee lunch or a Pink Champagne lunch, Jo's is a real feminine treat after a morning hunt for unique petit treasures! Arrrrr! After the "hunt & gathering" you should have worked up quite a thirst & appetite, if not, your not doing it right ladies. The menu is simple. Soup, salads, quiche, sammies, a Charcuterie & wine & Champagne. Teas, lemonades & coffees. Decadent desserts. Service, Food, Ambiance. All a class act. A perfect shopping trip & treat with the Ladies? Pink Champagne & Charcuterie, on the patio, at Jo's as always... Hours: Monday - Saturday 10:30 - 2:30 850.466.5136 Highly recommend.

Visiting my sister here in Pensacola and she wanted to treat me to lunch which was lovely. She brought me here and so glad she did! Very nice (and I would say feminine) lunch spot. There were a few men there but was predominantly ladies doing lunch. Evidently they are only open for lunch until 2:30. We started with some soup and moved onto one of their specialities which was baked Chicken Salad (we're in the South Ya'll) with a side of fruit and lemon poppyseed bread. Had a couple of Mimosas as well. Very nice!

The best hidden gem in Pensacola! The cutest cafe with greenery and modern, southern decor. The champagne chicken salad is divine. The shrimp and shells are always fresh and make for a delicious lunch miles from the beach. The poppyseed dressing poured over the fresh fruit is the best combination. And ALWAYS end your meal with the bread pudding + whiskey sauce. I've never had bread pudding before but dream about this one everyday. This restaurant is a great place to meet your friends for a happy lunch! My two very young children loved the bread pudding so much today that the owner sent them home with their own

The deck is quite enjoyable for a number of reasons. It is shaded and surrounded by lush vegetation and it's much quieter than inside and more conducive to conversation, especially for folks like me who have profound hearing issues. Service is prompt and attentive here. We decided to share the hot pastrami on rye and the antipasto salad. As you can see from the pic the sandwich is ginormous. So good. The antipasto salad here is unlike any I've ever had in my 77 years! It is composed totally of Capicolla, Genoa, and cotto salami, pepperoni, provolone, Swiss and mozzarella cheese, green and black olives, and artichokes marinated in an Italian dressing. There is no lettuce as in all the antipasto salads I've had before. It is absolutely delicious. We were unable to finish our shared portions of the salad and took easily a whole half portion home to enjoy later. As I'm sure I've said before, there's a reason this store is always packed.

The fried okra was good, standard fare, nothing exciting or innovative but delicious no complaints. 8/10. The appetizer sampler didn't look like much when it came out but it was more than enough for the two of us. I can't speak to the mushrooms but she seemed to really enjoy them and the accompanying horseradish sauce was incredible. The pickles and corn nuggets were very yummy and were perfectly cooked. No complaints! Oh and the ranch is pretty good too. Overall 7/10. Our food did come before our appetizer but that's okay we couldn't have been bothered by that we planned to eat it all together at the same time anyway, but it is worth noting just in case that's a concern for someone. We both impulsively got bushwackers, and honestly I wasn't expecting much because it was 5:00 p.m. on a Tuesday and they were seven bucks but they were yummy and had a strong pour. We really enjoyed the. 9/10. The two employees that we interacted with were nice but not over the top. Our waitress kind of just left us alone and that suited us just fine. It's one thing to swing into a classy restaurant or belly up to a fine bar stool, but sometimes an old coot just wants a bun in one hand and the smell of grill smoke on his boots. That's where Brown Bagger delivers the goods, and then some. I pulled up to that truck on a sun‑soaked afternoon, and there was this fella let's call him Big Mike on the flattop slinging patties like he was born flipping 'em. Big Mike didn't just make my double Wagyu smash; he gave me a PhD in burger philosophy between laughs. "You ever notice," he said while slapping that sizzling meat like a pro wrestler body‑slamming a bad guy, "a burger's only as honest as the fist that builds it?" I tell ya what that man could sell sand in the desert and make you thank him for it. He stacked cheese, grilled onions, and that signature Bagger Sauce onto that bun with the sort of focus you usually only see from surgeons and ex‑wives signing divorce papers. Those burgers? Forget just good they're the kind of juicy, salty, glorious mess that makes you smack your lips and swear solemn oaths you never thought you'd swear in public. Smash‑style wagyu patties, fresh fixings, and just enough attitude to remind you that this? This is the golden era of eating food trucks parked next to bars, cold beer close at hand, and a butcher's apron of stories to take home with ya. So if you find yourself in Pensacola with a hankerin' for something that'll make you slap your knee and grin like a mule eatin' briars, roll your way over to the Brown Bagger. It ain't just a burger it's a roadside sermon in a bag, preached by a man who knows his beef and your funny bone. Amen.

With somewhat dim lighting and a speakeasy's ambiance, The Burrow offers a great spot for just a drink or a full meal. For starters, check out their cocktail menu. Sure, they can make you your favorite drink, like a Manhattan or a basic Cosmo, but their featured drinks are outstanding. The Giving Tree is a smashing blend of pear & vodka, with a mint garnish, and it is seriously drinkable. The Burrow even offers CBD-infused cocktails for those that really want to take the edge off. The fare is beyond the standard bar & grille, though they do serve a fantastic burger. For appetizers, the Raclette Fries are a must-try with rich flavors that could captivate any palate, and bigger appetites can tackle the Pork Shank, served bone-in and topped with cabbage for that authentic German approach. If you want something lighter, then the Little Wedges (the only time I actually enjoy iceberg lettuce) could be a meal to many, topped with the usual bleu cheese & bacon crumbles - so good! Pricing is right on par with the value and the drinks themselves are simply outstanding. The bartender even made a previous 'seasonal' offering for my father-in-law, so you know the service is top-shelf. The space inside isn't huge, but the decor and layout is pretty well optimized.
