Bacon egg and cheese sandwich!
Brianna N.

Bright and stylish cafe in East Hill with friendly service and unique gluten free options! Exceptional lattes, smoothies, and juices. We loved the granola bar and bacon egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast. The dog treats tasted just alright; our dogs really loved them though. ;) Adorable new spot for breakfast or lunch!

Rosemary Feta Scone.

Such an adorable place and the rosemary feta scone was incredible. Relaxed atmosphere and I loved all the plants.

Strawberry smoothie & rosemary latte

Good Day Darling Coffee is so cute and cozy--plants everywhere, comfy chairs, and the sweetest girly vibe. The rosemary latte was herbal and balanced. The strawberry smoothie was not too sweet and tasty. The house-made syrups are amazing, and even the bathroom details (hello, potpourri) feel thoughtful. Such a cozy little happy place.

cute little shop! they are busy on weekend morning and they open and close early but worth the stop if you have time earlier in the day. friendly staff. quiet seating area. their grab and go chicken salad was delicious! and their blueberry smoothie with MCT oil was also phenomenal! quality food and beverages for sure. will be returning sooner than later. I will NOT be ordering my coffee from here though. I ordered 3 espresso shots over ice (which is my usual order) and was asked to pay for 4 or else just get 2 because their espresso machine pulled two at a time... i've never been told this before at any other shop. It's not the customer's fault your machine pulls two shots. What about everyone else who only orders a single or just an extra shot in their drink? It really threw me off... so i ordered the four shots but my drink was obviously not the same... other than that, ill return for the food and smoothies but not the coffee

We've been going to Ruby Slipper for years; it's our go-to for brunch on vacation. This visit…read morehowever was a standout from all the other times we've gone. The food was delicious as always but the service was 100/10. First things first, I am recently Gluten Free due to a new medical diagnosis and going out to eat has been a huge adjustment and usually means I either get something that tastes gross or nothing at all due to risk of getting sick. Not here! Ruby Slipper has a dedicated special dietary menu with one whole side devoted to GF options. Score! The French toast I got was made in gluten free bread; it was good enough to enjoy. You can't compare it to real French toast but for GF it was pretty good. I got eggs with it, which are always delicious here. Let's talk about the next thing that made this visit perfect: the service! Top notch! They were all so knowledgeable and friendly and accommodating. We came with our two children and my two year old was extremely fussy; the server offered to bring us a to-go box for our food after she promptly fell asleep in the booth. My oldest (4.5) ordered avocado toast. I had ordered all the fix-ins on the side and they accidentally made it with everything on top. They were quick to apologize and remake it. Then my oldest had her meltdown because she is 4.5 and we were sitting too long and it was too loud and the avocado toast was not like how she was used to. She started to cry and the COOK of all people came over and asked if she was okay and how could he make it better and was just so warm and kind and I was completely BLOWN away at how willing he was to make it right. I mean, they were so BUSY as it was Sunday brunch. So he made her a special avocado toast just how she liked it. Our server was also just so sweet and brought us boxes and kept things moving in such a compassionate way without making us feel bad about our children just falling apart. Everyone was so sweet and it reminded us of why we go there! Everyone in our party also loved their food too. Definitely would recommend it to everyone!

I think Dorothy may have stopped here for a quick bite to eat since you do know, "There's no place…read morelike home..." Before heading to the Pensacola Airport my friends took me here to meet their beautiful daughter & her boyfriend for lunch. There were plenty of tables and our server was very sweet. I was not that hungry so I shared some Beignet's & fried green tomatoes with my girl Paula. SOOOO good! The food came quickly and it was nice sitting and chatting. Very casual here...not fancy at all... *They do take reservations but we had no problem getting a table at 12 noon on a Monday. I'm sure it's not as easy on the weekends. I would make a resy:) No one rushed us which is always a plus. Only open for breakfast & lunch Mon - Fri: 7:00 AM - 2:00PM Sat & Sun: 7:00 AM -3:00PM Plenty of street parking ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

Had lunch here and tried a few menu items. I liked the smoothies, avocado toast and tofu scramble,…read morethe açaí bowl was ok but the açaí itself didn't have much flavor. The everything cookie and matcha cheesecake were really good. All the staff were super nice and accommodating, and I enjoyed the live music on Sunday. Will be back!

Cafe Single Fin: Great Concept, Average Plate…read more Cafe Single Fin is one of those places where the experience starts before you even find the restaurant. I drove around the block several times looking for it. Turns out, the restaurant is tucked inside a surf and skateboard shop. Once I finally figured that out, I walked in and immediately knew this wasn't going to be your average Pensacola lunch. The cafe is basically the centerpiece of the shop, surrounded by some seriously interesting vibes. I was greeted by scream-o music, which eventually segued into coffeehouse music and then some lighter indie stuff. Quite the musical journey. I half expected the playlist to ask me to pick a lane. What drew me in was the menu. Clean, interesting and exactly the kind of thing that makes you think, OK, these people might be onto something. I went with the blackened mahi tacos with rice and beans. And this is where things got a little less interesting. The food was fresh. The presentation was nice. Unfortunately, the flavor never really showed up for work. The mahi was supposed to be blackened, but I'm not convinced the blackening seasoning actually made it from the kitchen to the plate. The beans were also undercooked and under-seasoned. Nothing was bad, exactly. It just lacked the punch that the menu had promised. And that's the frustrating part. There is clearly a cool concept here, and the menu has enough personality to make you expect something memorable. The plate just didn't deliver the same energy as the room. Maybe I'm simply outside the target demographic. There seemed to be a pretty strong twenty-something surf/skate crowd, and perhaps I'm just not fluent in the culinary dialect of that demographic yet. Interesting place. Interesting concept. Interesting vibes. Friendly/helpful staff. Pretty average food.

Having a good service background, my husband and I are always understanding when a place is training staff - everyone starts somewhere. But what makes a difference is that everyone still had a smile on their face no matter how overwhelmed they may have felt! We've never received anything BUT great service. The food is delicious and came out fairly quickly considering it was a busy Saturday. We talked with the owner who's owned the place for the last 8 years and they try hard to preserve the restaurant. He shared that the bar top stools were the original nickel stools, they had the original coffee machines and the original grill/stovetop. Their goal is to make updates to the restaurant while still keeping some of the history, which I feel is really special.

If anyone that is in management...try going to the table to see what is wrong with the food instead of sending your young waitstaff with your lame message. "It's been on the table a while he should have said something sooner" It was absolutely gross, and I tried to eat it. It just kept leaking more oil like the deep water horizon. You wouldn't have eaten either if you saw it. Looking for decent cheese grits, seeming great staff try it. DO not order the omelette, if you do bring some oil dry.
