Decided to pop in for lunch and give this place a spin. Like some other bougie places that have opened recently around Pensacola, the prices are a bit off-putting, but having gone for a 7 mile trundle on 3 mile bridge earlier in the day, I was craving fat and salt. They hit that mark, but it cost me $40 with tax & tip. That is for just a salad and an order of french fries! The water came quickly in a real glass and tasted excellent. Very clean and cold, and greatly appreciated. Since it was a real glass I did not ask for a straw which is unusual for me. I enjoyed a nice view of the skatepark across the street as I dined, and watching all the people having a good time in the outdoors was refreshing. Most restaurants don't offer a view like this. There are a set of dining bars with chairs at the windows on either side of the door to amplify the view, but I opted for a traditional table since there were many available when I entered. As for the food... well, it was good, but not great. The $14 iceberg wedge was dotted with some delicious pancetta and gorgonzola cheese, and the lettuce was super fresh and crisp. Where it missed the mark was the overly mayonnaisey dressing. It really needed some more seasoning or something and I could not taste any buttermilk at all, even though it is called a "herb buttermilk dressing." The single cherry tomato (halved) was delicious and sweet, as were the 4 thin slices of radish. While the presentation was nice, it really needed more tomatoes and radish in my opinion, and a stoutly buttermilk dressing. The duck fat fries were crisp, too crisp. I enjoy the soft mushy potato inside the crispness of lard-fried potatoes, but very few of these offered that. They were generally too crisp, and some were crispy all the way thru making them a solid crisp. They came mostly unseasoned so I had to use the salt shaker generously. The sausage bits were good but a bit on the greasy side. The dipping sauce was mild, bland and oily, and I wished they had offered a ketchup alongside as well. Whether homemade or store bought, ketchup would have added color and some much needed acidity to the plate. Your mileage will vary, but for me, there are better options in my price range and this is not a place I can take hungry teenagers. read more

This is a nice, chill spot for a casual dinner. The atmosphere is casual, welcoming, & family-friendly. We felt very comfortable right away. There's also an outdoor seating area that I'm sure is amazing in warmer weather. The servers were warm & attentive, offering helpful suggestions, & thanking us for stopping by as we left. They were just genuinely pleasant. Now, the food. It's the next day, and we're still talking about how delicious the mussels were. The butter they're served with is delicious. After we finished the mussels, we poured some of that butter over our risotto just so we could keep enjoying it. The scallops were a great protein choice because they were fresh & perfectly cooked. Our only note is that the risotto leaned a bit salty, though they may have been on for adding the extra butter. Overall, I'd recommend this place. read more

Had lunch there today and it was great. The location is easy to find. The inside was nice and the service was great. We enjoyed some baked oysters and they are likely the best ones in town. We also had the pimento cheese bites and really liked them. The caesar salad was the best I've had in Pensacola. We will be back for sure. read more

Came in with friends party of 6. We were sat right away. Beer and wine only. Food is good but not sure for the price. Example I had the seasonal risotto which was $21.00 then I added scallops for $15.00 and got 3 of them. It was good but not sure $36.00 good. Staff is friendly. Jasmine was our server she was great. The scallops now come with a parsnip puree and bacon topped green beans. The green beans could have been cooked more they had a little too much bite to them. The bacon and herbs were very tasty. The parsnip purée was way too smooth and creamy, I would have preferred something a little less creamy. The bacon topping over the green beans was delicious. The scallops themselves were slightly overcooked. The sauté created a hard crust on the top of the scallop that required a knife to cut through. You can usually cut a scallop with the side of a folk. It's a little much, $39 dollars for 4 scallops and green beans. Price doesn't seem justified for the dish. The ponzu chicken sandwich breading was heavy. The bun choice made the sandwich hard to eat. The herb fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. These were pretty close to perfection. Service was great. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. The tab gets left on mini card reader they place on the table, when you're ready and you close out at your own pace. Might be a while before I'd opt to try this place again, but not bad. read more

Really great food service in atmosphere. My husband's fish sandwich was exceptional. He had a side, Caesar salad and duck fat fries which he loved. My hamburger was perfectly medium as ordered and what was so impressive was the fact that that it had a yellow heirloom tomato on it. I was so impressed with my tomato which was perfectly salted and peppered. Thank you very much. I pulled it off the hamburger and ate it by itself! Nothing worse than feeling ignored after being seated. This is my second time eating here. The first time I had a delicious risotto that I did not see on the menu today. Today was during brunch. Tried ordering a breakfast sandwich and they were out of sourdough bread to put it on. Finally had to walk up to the bar to get a second mimosa because the server never came back around after food was delivered. The owners/managers seemed to be in the establishment walking around. My husband and I had dinner here a few weeks ago, this place recently opened and you could tell the staff is still working through some kinks.. upon arriving we stood at the front door waiting on a host for 20 minutes. We almost turned around and went somewhere else but we were determined to eat there so we waited. We ended up being seated outside at a picnic table. Our server was very nice and apologized for the excessive wait times, she was also the only person working outside that evening and they were slammed. We stopped in for lunch this past Sunday and found this place by complete accident but I'm so glad that we did! We sat outside in the quaint courtyard and Suze took amazing care of us! We were told that it was her birthday and she was genuinely excited that we wished her a happy birthday and had one of the best personalities! Drinks were always refilled and the food was fantastic! After lunch, we played a few games of cornhole while we finished our drinks. Kristen (the owner) is very hands on and made sure that we enjoyed our meal. Atmosphere was nice and the food was good. The server may have been having an off day but didn't get our orders to the correct person so we did a bit of plate swap. With that said also didn't get all the orders out so we canceled the appetizer. I think she was new as she didn't really seem to have good knowledge of the food. The bill was electronic so we couldn't see what we were charged. The math did not come out right for many of us but we will never know. Stopped by the Reservoir without our kiddos after the beach this morning and we're more than pleased with the experience. My husband and I both had the Cuban with fries and left more than full and happy. Our one curious question was the menu stated that they carry Odd Colony beer, but during our experience, they had PB brewing ( mentioned on the menu) and Perfect Plain. Highly recommend! read more

What an awesome restaurant. We happened upon this place for lunch this past Saturday. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. Our table ordered both the Ponzu Crunch and the Mediterranean Cruise. We split both. While the Mediterranean Cruise did not disappoint, the star of the show was the Ponzu Crunch.
