Fried Chicken with Collards and Red Beans and Rice.
    Michael D.

Came in to try some comfort food we've heard so much about. Not the quickest service I've experienced in the Great Southern Restaurant Group. (Fish House, Atlas Oyster House, Jackson's Steak House, Five Sisters Blue's Cafe and Angelena's Ristorante Italiano. With Atlas and Angelena's setting the bar. Once greeted, we started with the Buffalo Chicken Dip, which was quit tasty. I had to try the Famous Fried Chicken (Dark) with Collards and Red Beans and Rice. The Fried Chicken was hot and delicious! The sides were way under seasoned, leaving me to doctor them with condiments. My wife really enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak and Gravy with Mac n cheese and Fried Okra, which added to the comfort food enjoyment. My only wish would be, replacing the loud metal chair's on the concrete floors, which take away from the Blues Cafe Vibe. Glad we tried Five Sisters, but we will stick to our favorites in the future.

Sides entree not worth a second bite or taking home. It was cold, old, and lacked in every imaginable aspect of quality food.

The taste is gone!!!! The service was decent and the ambiance is still that of a family eatery, however they lack in food quality!!! No seasoning in any of the items on the plate. Not even worth eating and it's not the same mouth watering experienced I had hoped for when I came here the first time shortly after the pandemic.

Came in for wing night! Come early! Got lemon pepper and buffalo wings, crab cakes with sides and blueberry bread pudding. Had great and attentive service. Five Sisters does southern food right!

My husband and I were in Pensacola looking for some comfort food. Well, we definitely found it and more. The food was tasty and we were treated to an awesome blues experience. If you're ever in the area, definitely give it a try. Even though it was loud crowded and crazy, we had good service and a good time.

Fried Pork Chops w/ Mash and Collard Greens

Walked in on a rainy Thursday evening. Blues musicians playing, interesting decor, the place is well lit and offers inside and outdoor seating. Server was friendly and brought our drinks. I ordered the Fried Pork Chops with collard greens and mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the Fried Green Tomato BLT. Both were good. Pork chop a little tough to cut, mash was very dense and a bit dry even though it had gravy on it, but they were seasoned nicely. Overall flavor was great. Husband liked his BLT. All of the food here sounded so good! There were definitely other things I want to try if we come back in town. And the prices are very reasonable!!

This is our first time here and really enjoyed our dinner. The prices are really reasonable and the atmosphere is so fantastic. I got the chicken tenders with collard greens and fried green tomatoes and I definitely could not finish my dinner. My husband had the club sandwich which was outstanding and he loved the french fries The service here is excellent. They are definitely here to take care of you and they show it. We love the music and the white lights and just really welcome here. I really recommend this place and I know I will be returning for Sunday brunch with jazz

The shrimp and grits is out of this world. The sweet tea is amazing. The chicken and waffles were good, but not super memorable. The Mac and cheese was good too staff is super friendly and our waiter gave great recommendations for food! It's lively from the music and just all around a good time!

    3 & 3. 3 chicken legs & 3 sides. Fried green tomatoes, mashed potatoes w/brown gravy, & Mac n cheese!

WOW! Do yourself a favor and go eat at Five Sisters Blues Cafe! Everything was absolutely amazing. The food, service, vibe, and atmosphere were all 10/10. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for Southern food in the Pensacola area, Five Sisters Blues Café is a great choice. The Bloody Mary--packed with a bold kick and topped with a chicken wing that takes it to another level. I went with the Southern Chicken Plate, and it did not disappoint. Great value, generous portions, and the two-piece serving comes with two sides. You really can't go wrong with the fried okra, and the grits and greens were fantastic. Our waiter was accommodating and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this spot is well worth the visit.

    Chicken and Belgium waffle

Went down south to visit family and was flight was delayed until the next day. Decided to do some research on top eats in the area. All pointed to Five Sisters Blues Cafe for an amazing Southern food experience. Arrived and it was lively and packed with people. Patrons sitting in the outside patio and many more inside listening to the live Jazz music playing. We opted to sit inside to hear the music. Was seated in a reasonable time for a busy Sunday Brunch. Ordered a Hurricane drink and it was not to be expected. A little watered down or missing something nothing like a Hurricane I've had before. I subbed my chicken for wings instead of tenders, best decision. Chicken was 'heavenly' seasoned to perfection. Belgium waffle was nothing to rave about. Now the Mac and cheese was smooth and cheesy perfect combination. Red beans and rice were ok needed more meat, but I still ordered one to go. The live Jazz music made the moment even more intimate. Great dining experience.

The food is always so good. There's another parking lot across the street since their actually parking lot is small. Food comes out so quickly.

My husband…read morehad made reservations for us and his parents, but as life goes, we were running a few minutes behind, so we called and let them know, and the lady who answered was very kind and told us not to worry. (This was a 4:30 reservation when they were not as busy.) They seated us at a table that accommodated the four of us perfectly. I should add that my father-in-law was in a wheelchair, and the ladies were quick to adjust the table settings for us so that he would fit comfortably. Our waitress, Roxy, was just as helpful as a server. My father-in-law also has dementia, so ordering for him at restaurants can at times be very tricky. She was ever so patient and suggested some items that could work for him based on what my mother-in-law shared are things he usually will eat with ease. But hospitality and service are only part of the reason you go to a restaurant, because let's face it, if the food were bad, who cares how nice everyone is. In this department, they were also on point. Roxy explained the menu changes seasonally. We dined on July 3, peak summer. I should also add that I am 7 weeks pregnant, and so I need to be careful with what I am consuming. To drink, I had an orange glow - with cardamom, lemon, orange, and strawberry (and the only item I remembered to photograph - blame it on how delicious the food was or on my pregnancy brain). It was refreshing and sweet, without being too juice-like. My mother-in-law ordered a moscato and my husband had a blond ale. We all consumed our beverages in their entirety before the end of the meal. I'll add here that the young lady who went around refilling waters was extremely on point. If our glasses were halfway emptied, she came around and filled them (which with how much water I'm currently intaking, she came by quite a bit). To start, we ordered their garlic yeast rolls. It comes with a garlic butter which you can add to the rolls, but let me tell you how it doesn't need the extra butter (though it is mighty delicious). I could live in those rolls. They were flaky and buttery, like a croissant, but in a yeast dinner roll. If it's on the menu when you go, please do yourself a favor and order. There are 4 to an order. My husband and I shared the 4th one, and I would have ordered another set of 4, but at that point I would have just been eating with my tastebuds and not my actual stomach. But they *are* that good! My husband and I both ordered the filet. I can't eat anything cooked less than medium, though I'm typically a medium rare girl, and let me tell you - it was still juicy and delicious, a sign of a chef who knows how to cook a good steak. The black garlic butter was heavenly. The steak was a bit too seasoned for me (but pregnancy taste buds are something else). My husband ordered it medium well, and he loved it (and he's only recently come around to enjoying a nice piece of red meat). They came accompanied with a celeriac potato au gratin which was perfect - not overly cheesy, and the celeriac (first time eating this) was perfectly sliced. My husband also ordered the cheese grits and collard greens. The grits were a whipped-like texture, soft and creamy. The collards were not something I could stomach. Blame it on those pregnancy taste buds again. My mother-in-law also ordered collards and they both loved them. For me, the vinegar was just too much to handle. My mother-in-law opted for the ribeye, medium rare with the broccolini, and she said it was "scrumptious, delicioso, and magnificent (in a French accent)." As delicious as it was, she and I could not finish our meals, so we asked for a to-go boxes. Roxy packaged them up for us, and labeled each box with what it contained and when it was packaged. Of course, when it came time for dessert, we were beyond full, but we ordered a prickly pear sorbet to share. And it was just what was needed to cleanse the pallet after such a flavorful meal. The coconut mousse was light and airy and paired well with the sorbet. If you're in the mood for some good southern fusion in Pensacola, Iron is the place to try.

The food was fine - fried pickles salty and hot, boudin balls had a more liver taste than we have had in Louisiana but still tasty and the salad was good but pretty basic - romaine with a few tomato wedges, fried okra and grilled shrimp and tiny crawfish tails. I ordered three dozen total one dozen raw, one dozen charbroiled, and one dozen with BBQ sauce. Our party of 25 ended up ordering well over 50 dozen oysters, so they unfortunately ran out before I got a chance to try the BBQ oysters. I was able to enjoy the raw and charbroiled oysters, and I definitely preferred the raw. They were incredibly fresh, briny, and clean tasting. The charbroiled oysters were still good, but cooking them brought out more of the fishy flavor, which just isn't my personal preference. I also tried the shrimp and grits, and they were easily one of my favorite dishes of the meal. They were rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. The crawfish étouffée was just as impressive comforting, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. One thing that really stood out was the service. It's not easy managing a party of 25, especially one ordering over 50 dozen oysters, but the staff handled everything so well. They stayed organized, kept a great attitude throughout the meal, and made sure food and drinks came out as smoothly as possible despite how busy they were. Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Why not take the time before hand to ask what a certain dish or meal is - its flavor profile, spice(s), heat, etc.? We did ask the chef and she was more than happy to take the time to explain the dish's concept and let us taste prior to ordering. Read all the good and the bad reviews and ask yourself: 1.
