Smoker in the front that often has smoke pouring out
    Keri F.

Every time we drove by and smelled that BBQ cooking in the yard we wanted to stop. We loved the "down south" setting of the place just driving by. Like something you'd see in the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes." (I mean without the abusive husband part.) I really wanted to try the brisket but on a Weds it seemed the logical thing was the AYCE pulled pork and chicken even tho I knew I could t eat more than one serving. It's still appropriately priced at $13.50 for just one plate. The pulled pork was good. Better than average. I prefer more smoke. I didn't care as much for the chicken. I don't know why I expected like a shredded or sliced or white meat but it was a full thigh leg on the bone. It was good. Don't get me wrong, just not what I expected and had I seen the plate ahead of time I probably would've gotten the brisket plate. I wanted to try the pork and chicken but there's no sharing of the AYCE or take home. . But honestly, I don't think the very sweet waitress would've minded if I had a couple bites of my husbands pork and chicken after ordering my own full meal. And because we didn't order seconds (except a small portion of more pork for him, but we weren't taking advantage.) she brought us a box to take the rest of mine and his chicken. I had also wanted to try different sides but LOVED the beans and Cole slaw. Better than average on both! It was chilly outside or we would've liked to sit outside and enjoy the homey backyard BBQ feel. If you've driven by and thought about stopping definitely do so. The welcoming feel, prices and good food are a do it from me!!

What an amazing bbq place! Very laid back atmosphere and great music. We really felt welcome. We ordered the corn nuggets a combo and the Monday pork special. Pretty dang fabulous

First time here my wife had eaten here before with friends and we decided to try. We enjoyed the outdoor area, so did Lucy! It's a rustic bbq joint with a lot of character. We ordered the sampler plate for $20.99 with a side of fries. It came with two sides and we got the coleslaw and beans. This will definitely be one of our go to meals this summer! We shared and had food left over for another meal!! Everything we ate was Great! You definitely won't be disappointed if you give this little dive a chance!

Our first time at this BBQ RESTAURANT. Small country feels in the place of business. If you don't know where it is you have to look for it. You can miss it easily. Hands down the best MOIST chopped brisket I have had since moving to Pensacola. We tried the deep fried egg rolls. There was not much meat or cheese in it. The macaroni was good but the cheese sauce was broken. The okra was delicious. I can't wait to return.

Food is solid. Not my most favorite BBQ place but it hit the spot. I thought the pulled pork sandwich was pretty run of the mill. The carry out service was very fast.

    Apple Pie! Delish.

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Brothers BBQ in Pensacola, Florida, and decided to dive into their combo plate, a perfect way to sample their offerings. My plate featured four different meats: sliced brisket, two ribs, chicken (a thigh and a wing), and pulled pork, alongside an appetizer of corn nuggets and sides of baked beans and mac & cheese. Right from the start, one of the most impressive aspects was the speed of service--my order arrived incredibly fast, which is always a plus! The definite stars of the show were the sliced brisket and the pulled pork. The brisket was everything you hope for in good BBQ: [Describe the brisket more here - e.g., "nicely smoked," "melt-in-mouth," "perfectly rendered fat," "flavorful bark"]. Its tenderness was exceptional, making each bite a true delight. Similarly, the pulled pork was amazing--juicy and packed with flavor. Both of these meats were absolutely standout, and I highly recommend them. Unfortunately, the other two meats on the combo plate didn't quite hit the same high notes. The ribs were my least favorite. They weren't super tender and also weren't as hot as I would have liked. While I think they could be really good if they were more tender and served hotter, I likely wouldn't order them again based on this visit. The chicken (a thigh and a wing) had good flavor, but like the ribs, it wasn't super hot or particularly juicy, and it didn't taste as fresh as I had hoped. Moving on to the sides, the baked beans were tasty. They had a distinct hint of vinegar, which I really enjoyed, giving them a nice tang. I'd definitely order those again. However, the mac and cheese was not great. It was mushy, not very creamy, and simply not what you would expect from a good mac and cheese side. I would not order the mac and cheese again. To cap off the meal, I ordered a piece of their apple pie, which they advertise as fresh-made. I grabbed a quick bite before leaving, and I'm so glad I did--the pie was great! It had a wonderful hint of nutmeg and great spices like cinnamon. The apples were cooked perfectly, and the pie crust was nice. The apple pie was truly delicious and a highlight of the meal. We're almost there! Just a couple more details to make this review complete: It was a lot of food for the price. Easily could feed 2. Overall good. Would return for the brisket and pulled pork.

Wow! The BBQ is awesome! Prices are on point too. The sauce is the best! By far the best BBQ in Pensacola, FL! Melt in your mouth ribs. Thank you Ms Jessica for a pleasant experience! Next time I'm having dessert first.

This place was a surprise to us as we were driving around the area. We stopped for lunch and we're so glad we did! Amazingly delicious food!! We got a pulled pork sandwich and really enjoyed it, with the most delicious baked beans! (We even took home an order of the beans) We also ordered a barbecued baked potato with pulled pork which was truly delicious!!!!! They didn't overdo the sauce as so often happens but if you wanted more it was available. We each had an unsweet tea to drink with our meal. The food portions were generous! Our dog was welcomed in the outside eating area and enjoyed some very kind attention and our server kindly took pictures of the three of us. This place is very casual and most people there seemed to know each other or were just really social. Nice bathrooms as a bonus.

Best BBQ Brisket and Pulled Pork. Loved our nachos, combo plates and everything in between. The ladies working inside are so kind and attentive. Loved the ambiance and could smell the smokers from 2 miles away. We are visiting from SoCal and wish we came sooner. Hard to find good bbq like this. This place is 10/10 the vibe. I'm sure any pitmaster would agree.

Run don't walk to this place! The best BBQ pork I have ever had. Outstanding Mac and Cheese. Delicious coleslaw. The corn nugget things were delicious. The mullet was light and flakey and good flavor..... not overpowering. Very lightly breaded. Great service... cool music.

Since this location is new, I am confident they will figure it out whether or not Steel Pony Diner can order drinks at the bar where the experience can feel a bit more full service where I can order my food and drinks with one person with Kyree or order at the bar with the bar tender. FYI. Dorothy's is a non for profit bar to help fund raise for OASIS (a HIV prevention service and also serves people with HIV/AIDS). This visit, I had their signature Prego Sandwich served with a side of au ju and your choice of side garnished with Mable's Sweet Garlic Dill Pickles (I will cover later). For $2 extra I added grilled mushrooms. This sandwich is delicious!!! It is so good, it could be part of the Pensacola tourist DNA, meaning, if u visited Pensacola and had the Prego sandwich you will think about this sandwich when u think of visiting Pensacola. If u are visiting Pensacola, and not bothered with the LGBTQ community make Steel Pony Diner @ Dorothy's your next destination especially Memorial Day Weekend. With that said, let's talk about Mable's Sweet Garlic Dill Pickles made by Todd Morris of Family Orchard Farm. These pickles are like a savory candy... delish!!! I am not really into pickles, but these here are so good! I wonder if they make a relish version. If not, Todd, helurrrrrr?!?!?! You can get a jar for $12 at Steel Pony Diner. Ask Kyree or Eric to purchase.

We started with the fried green tomatoes. Amazing. We've been on a .mission to find the best Fried Green Tomatoes and these might just be the tops in the south! They came out piping hot, crispy (not soggy) on the outside, firm green tomatoes on the inside. The microgreens, balsamic drizzle with dollop of goat cheese elevated this dish even further. The blackened Mahi fish tacos were so incredibly flavorful and fresh. I loved that everything is fresh and made in-house. The shells, the mango salsa, the chipotle sauce and the blackened Mahi were all so fresh and worked so well together. My family got the margarita flatbread pizza and caprese salad. The flatbread pizza was crispy, light and fresh. The caprese came with a wonderful pesto that accompanied the garden ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and balsamic. The service was a little swamped (stressed) as they were super busy during a weekday lunch. However, they were hustling and working hard to serve us... so can't really complain. Really can't say enough about this place. Great views from the pier, incredibly fresh food with a crew striving to take care of its patrons. One of the best places we've eaten at in the area.
