A great place, with great food! Of course, with the virus thing going on, I had to take out. But can't wait until they reopen, and they start having live music again! Very friendly staff, enjoyed talking with them while waiting for my food (which did not take long!) Will definitely be back! Please note the new address (4238 W Fairfield Dr, across from Lowes) and phone number (850) 549-8101

I have bounced around and sampled bbq from many places. Many of you know that each region of the country has its own little twist from the Carolinas (north and south), Texas, KC, and Memphis. I have had the opportunity to sample the bbq at Arlene Williams at both of her locations. She use to be at a smaller spot about three miles down the road until she moved to this larger location further down Mobile Highway. Actually this new location used to be a po'boy place. When you see the smoke billowing from the back it triggers a sense in you like the red light at Krispy Kreme. This is mainly a take and go place. There are no tables but there are high chairs where you can sit and eat if you like near the windows. On this day most people had called in orders and were popping in for lunch. I went with a rib dinner that came with two sides. The sides of macaroni and cheese and collard greens was my selection to keep my ribs company in my to go box. The mac and cheese was real homemade mac and cheese. Some of you know what I am talking about with the browning around the edges. If you overcook, then you scrambling to get your serving from the middle because you know that is not burned. No burning at all with this and no overabundance of cheese where you just have a cheesy brick being served. None of that soupy out of the box stuff you get at some places. The collards were cooked nicely with a few pieces of pork mixed in here and there but not so much that you are constantly eating more of that then the greens. I decided to get my ribs with sauce on the side. I went with the spicy version of her sauce and it has a small kick but nothing that makes you want to reach for water to cool yourself or have your nose sniffling. The ribs had that taste to it where you know it was cooked on a grill with wood. There was a nice smoky char adding to the flavor but not so much that it was like eating burnt wood. I know some people prefer fall of the bone ribs but I like to be able to pick up a bone and bite into it. With the ribs here at Arlene's you don't have to worry about bearing down with your teeth and pulling the rib away to tear a piece of meat off. Very tender rib. If you go here you might have a small wait as all the food is homemade so have some patience and you might hear they are all out of certain items. That's just the nature of the beast at places like this. Also get the MIAMI FLOP!!!!!! This drink is so good and I enjoy the pieces of pineapple that are put in the drink. On a hot day there is nothing more refreshing. Actually on any day there is nothing more refreshing.

Fast and pleasant service. Really enjoyed their menu options and had a hard time choosing! I ordered pickup during this strange time, and was not disappointed! The Jerk chicken, the brisket and macaroni were our favorite. Upon pickup they even gave me a pump of hand sanitizer on my way out, how nice! Will definitely be back :)

Arlene moved to 4238 W. Fairfield dr. Tucked off Fairfield across from lowes, for a laid back sit down restaurant. Building is nice plenty of seating. Food perfect as usual and now has live entertainment! Plenty of parking surrounded by big oaks and outside patio. And now can have a beer or two with my BBQ. Or wine ;) had a great Sunday there with live music.

This place no longer exist. It is now Asia Buffet. Which is not bad for all you can eat Asian. The curry dishes are authentic and tasty.

We've been there twice. Both times the meat was dried out, like warm or cold. The sides were tasteless. Will not go back!

Kind of hard to find because it is behind Cabinet Barn. BBQ was very good. Sides taste homemade, not from a can. It was all YUMMY!

Nope. The macaroni and cheese was weird. The ribs were like pure gristle and fat butt only if you poured Liquid Smoke on it.

Here is the completed review with your additional details incorporated:…read more I recently visited **Kalbi Ichiban** in Pensacola, Florida, located in the area of town where I grew up. It was good to return to familiar surroundings and find a restaurant offering a different dining experience. The interior is attractive, clean, and inviting. The restaurant also offers Korean barbecue, with tabletop grills built into several booths. It is a nice option for families, groups, or anyone interested in a more interactive meal. I went specifically looking for authentic Korean food. Having experienced Bulgogi while serving in Korea, it quickly became one of my favorite dishes. Most chain restaurants do not do the dish particularly well, so I decided to give Kalbi Ichiban's version a try. My waiter, **Carson**, was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. He checked on me regularly without being intrusive and made the overall experience even better. Carson receives five stars from me. The meal came with Bulgogi, rice, and a choice of soup or salad. I selected fried rice and started with the hot and sour soup. I also ordered a side of kimchi because, in my opinion, a Korean meal is not complete without it. The hot and sour soup was excellent. It had great flavor, was well prepared, and was easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fried rice was good, although nothing about it particularly stood out. The Bulgogi was tender and very flavorful, but it was wetter than traditional Bulgogi. Authentic Bulgogi is normally much drier, with the marinade cooked into the meat rather than leaving it with a gravy-like consistency. Even with that difference, the flavor was enjoyable. The kimchi was also very good and added the right touch to the meal. Interestingly, the hot and sour soup was spicier than the kimchi. However, different regions of Korea prepare kimchi in different ways, so the level of heat and flavor can vary considerably. Overall, I was pleased with the meal and would rate the food **8.5 out of 10**. After adding a couple of cocktails, I was also pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the final bill was. I would rate the restaurant **two dollar signs out of five for price**, making it a good value for the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. Kalbi Ichiban may not serve Bulgogi exactly as I remember it from Korea, but it delivered a flavorful and satisfying meal. Combined with Carson's excellent service, the inviting atmosphere, and reasonable prices, it was an enjoyable dining experience and a restaurant I would visit again.

Lovely atmosphere and outstanding service. This was our 4th visit and my husband tried the steak…read more He usually gets grilled salmon. He enjoyed the steak as much as the salmon. I had the Bloxi sushi which was delicious. My son had a poke ball and said the flavors were great. We also tried the hot ginger tea. Yum yum . We had an avocado appetizer that was warm.with shrimp and scallops. Very good. And a piece of turtle cheesecake was gifted to me to celebrate my birthday. We'll be back.
