We came in the other night wanting some wings and I was a little skeptical about this place because of the reviews. So we bit the bullet and came anyway. I'm glad we did. The staff greeted us when we came in and the young lady at the counter gave us ideas on what to order and what was popular. We ordered the garlic Parmesan wings, honey heat, fries and okra. All of our food came out hot, fresh and delicious. The wings weren't over cooked and the side items were good. Start off by saying I'm friends with the owner (Michael G.) back from 2007 or so, when we were building a home behind the original location on North Davis Highway (which is closed through the end of 2025 as the work on updating the equipment in the kitchn, and have all-hands-on-deck in the new location.). He is a top notch fellow and very community minded, and this fresh restaurant collaboration with his partner Mike P. is an experiment of sorts. If you like Tasty Freeze you will like Grover's. They put an emphasis on having a wide variety of shake flavors and sundae's, and offer an old-fashioned banana split. We have always loved their ice cream offerings at the original Grover's and here you find the same. The burgers and sandwiches are cooked fresh to order. EVERYTHING is cooked fresh, so people are sometimes surprised there is a slight wait. But of course there is! You can expect your sandwich to come with very fresh and crisp lettuce, fresh tomato and onion slices, and classic dill pickle chips. It's rare to find these items so fresh these days, and I give them a lot of credit for this. The fries they serve are a frozen variety that are lightly battered and seasoned. I do not care for them at all, myself, but a lot of people love them, and I do love having a choice and here it can be fresh cut onion rings or fried green tomatoes for a slight upcharge. Their FGTs are excellent and worth trying! The restaurant interior is an interesting throwback to diners of years gone by, with cherry leather seats and a black/white checkerboard tiled floor. Beautiful to see in person and obviously a labor of love. Built in 2025 it has all the modern safety features one would expect. A few design issues I noted of concern are the crowded drink machine area next to the restrooms, the cramped parking situation, and a questionable flow for the drive-through once that opens. Since these are less than perfect I took off a star (for now, will update once the dust settles) and hope that once Grovers 2.0 is fully open they can keep up with what is evidently VERY high demand for a place just like this in the Milton area. Kills me to give this place 3 stars because we love Grovers. Huge fan of original location! This was the 1st time to this location and 1st time I didn't get the cheeseburger. The chicken was okay. Bbq sauce was a necessary addition due to lack of seasoning on the tenders. I did appreciate that they weren't over breaded or over cooked! My fries were at room temperature. My husband said his burger was good, but swore one of the patties was fresh and the other not so much. The onion rings were perfect as always. When asked if I would order the chicken again over the burger, my response is no, but I'm happy I gave it a whirl. I'm sure we will come back. I know everyone's excited for expansion and new atmosphere, but the old place felt like sitting in Mom's kitchen! Will miss that place! read more

Went there today and ordered a double cheeseburger, Burger was okay, not really seasoned, tasted bland, had the combo with fries and they were under salted, wife had the cheesesteak sandwich, bland as well and her okra needed more salt, but the worst was she ordered cheese fries, order came with very little cheese, the cheese was grated on the fries and not melted, took one bite and called it quits! Won't go back just not worth the price! read more

We tried the new Grovers last night & loved it !!! Got the honey garlic wings and the homemade ranch was some of the best I've ever had ! Highly recommend this place ! It is a longer wait but that's because everything is made fresh . And the portions are very big sizes , prices seem high but after we tasted the wings we decided that they were well worth it ! I don't know who's running this place, but they definitely know what they're doing! This was by far some of the best food we've had in a while. We both ordered the 10 wing dinner meal which comes with Cole slaw, toast, and a side of your choice. We were hesitant at first about the price but it was beyond worth it for the amount and quality of the food! I was thinking about getting the hot buffalo sauce but went with the medium instead and I'm glad I did because it was definitely more spicy than anticipated (I love hot wings). The ranch was fabulous too! The onion rings and the fries had a good crunch and the flavor was great. My husband got the Asian chili sauce for his and they were out of this world delicious!!!! The toast was toast, not out of this world but still good. The Cole slaw was so yummy too. The inside was very nice too. It was designed like a 50's diner. We decided to try this place today. The parking is weird. One way in and out. The atmosphere/ambiance was fun like a diner. Elvis was playing, so we were happy. The service was great. Ordering was easy and Dalia was very pleasant to chat with. She was nice!! The food was delicious and hot. They bring you your food to the table. For the price...you do get a lot of food. Love the diner vibe! The decor includes a vintage jukebox. Your favorite oldies music is playing over the speakers. The menu is available on large screens with pricing. Breakfast is available in the morning and is a pretty typical pancakes, bacon, eggs etc. My favorite is the club sandwich, although the restaurant's specialty is the chicken tenders w/ gravy. So we have avoided this place because of the lines and the signage on the door that said 30 minute wait at night . So we went at 10 am ... ordered a 4 pcs chicken and 6 chicken pcs meal. The place was Basically empty and it took 30 minutes to get our food. Now the only savings grace is the food was good . Portions were great and obviously it was hot. But that's the only thing about the experience that was right. The poor couple who ordered about 5-10 mins after us finally got their breakfast plates - eggs, grits, toast sausage , as we left 45 mins after they ordered.... I've eaten breakfast at many places in Milton & this was my favorite! My favorite biscuits & gravy, favorite eggs, and favorite hash browns. It was so much food that we couldn't eat it all but it was a good time. Service was top-notch from start to finish. I'll be bringing my family back for a lunch or dinner sometime. I had posted a review I wanted to update but can't find it now. My first visit wasnt that great. However the manager Mike reached out to me and offered complimentary meals to me and my friend. I have to say it was a much better experience. We had the chicken dinners and the combo platter. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite. fresh hot and delicious. Even drinks were included! it was so much food we both took home leftovers to have for dinner. Thanks to Mike and his crew! My friend and I will be making another visit soon to try the wings! Short Summary: Grover's cares more about their profit margin than they do the fact that a customer wasted $97 on trash food. Details below. This was my first experience ordering from Grovers, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing one. I placed a to-go order over the phone for 40 wings, a chicken strip meal, and three large ranch dressings. Upon pickup, I was charged $97 without being provided a receipt. It wasn't until I got home that I realized the "large" ranches were pint-sized, which significantly inflated the total cost. There was no communication or transparency from the staff regarding this pricing, which felt misleading. Lesson learned to question everything ahead of time and not trust businesses are transparent. The quality of the food was also poor. The wings were excessively fatty and had an unnatural taste that raised concerns about the quality of the ingredients. Out of 40 wings, only 9 were eaten between five adults -- which speaks for itself. I reached out to the restaurant hoping they would take the opportunity to make things right. I requested a 50% refund (less than the value of what was uneaten) and provided dated photos to support my claim. Instead, I was offered a $20 credit -- but only if I returned the wings four days later. It wasn't until I went back and forth over the span of 2 days with them that they offered a refund of the ranch. The 50% refund request was ultimately denied. What was most concerning was the tone of the correspondence. Rather than focusing on customer satisfaction, the business seemed more concerned with defending their profit margins. It was disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism and unwillingness to take accountability. Given this experience, I cannot recommend Grovers. In a small town, building trust and repeat business should be a priority, but based on their handling of this situation -- and considering the number of negative reviews they've already received -- I don't believe they are prepared to do so. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I understand that others--including Grover's--may see things differently. I'm simply sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision about whether or not to take the same risk. This situation could have been resolved amicably with a 50% refund, which I felt was fair. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, and as a result, another negative review has been added to their growing list. From a business standpoint, it seems like a short-sighted decision. read more

The wife and I finally got the chance to eat at Grover's in Milton, FL. It's been very busy with long waits so we've been passing on it for about a month, but today, we got out for lunch a little late and we were able to get through the ordering line and found a booth to set down at. I ordered the patty melt meal. $8.99 for the patty melt, and $5.99 for fries and a drink. My wife ordered the fried pork tenderloin sandwich for $8.99, no side or drink. The bill totaled $26.48 after all was said and done. The wait for the food wasn't too long. I did rubber-neck a couple of times to see what might be holding up the food, but for made to order food, I figured we'd have to wait a little bit. The food came out. I ate a french fry and it was almost room temperature. Not a good start. The Patty Melt wasn't good. The Fried Pork Tenderloin sandwich wasn't good. I left the restaurant feeling very disappointed. I was overcharged for sub-par food. Maybe we didn't order correctly. The fried chicken that I saw on some of the other diners plates looked really good. I don't believe we'll be going back. That's a really surprising statement because I remember eating at the Davis Hwy location years ago and always had a great experience there. While there aren't a ton of restaurants in Milton, there are a few that have better food and that are easily more affordable. A swing and a miss I'm sorry to say. read more

I used to go to the old shop in Pensacola regularly, loved the fried cheese burger with just cheese (I can not have pickles due to an allergy). Went to this location and asked for the fried burger with just cheese, got all the way home and everything was on it now inedible due to the pickle juice and my allergies. We were excited to go to Grover's hearing the food was good and service was great. We were extremely disappointed. The dining area very smalll, but lots of ordering and standing room. It is a cafeteria style more than diner style. The burgers were frozen and the old expression "where's the beef" because the bun was much bigger. The mushrooms on the mushroom Swiss were 2 or 3 from a can the Swiss was processed that didn't even melt - ewww. Fries were good. The old fashion sundae, looked more like it can from McDonalds in a plastic container. We assumed since they advertise old time diner and old fashions sundaes, would have been much different.
