I've been here many times before and have always left happy. This place is great for family breakfast, champagne brunch, or hangover relief. The food is top notch. We sat at the bar and the service was great. We were in from out of town and our bartender gave us some great sugessions of places to go and to eat at. I got the fish tacos and my girl got the classic benny. Both were delicious and good portions. I got an espresso martini no sugar add burbom cream amd it was fantastic. Their menu serves both breakfast and lunch all day. They also have local art for sale. They make their own hot sauce, and you know that makes me happy! My friend and I both ordered plain coffee, she ordered cinnamon raisin toast and I ordered regular toast + hash browns. The members of our party chose a mix of native cakes (pancakes) and stuffed French toast for their breakfasts. Everyone with the French toast came away extremely impressed by the combination of flavors, though the universal opinion was that the dish would be perfect with a greater density of egg soaked into the toast. Other diners said the pancakes were well cooked but too thick for their personal preferences. First time I was told it was almost ready, then they were boxing it up, then the waitress advised she couldn't yell at them anymore. This is a fun and lively place that is a little bit touristy but of course it's Pensacola Beach / Gulf Breeze. I sat at the bar and the waitress (Mindy) was attentive and helpful. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the bright, hand painted pictures from the area on the wall while I ate my Mahi tacos which were felt and hit the spot for lunch. The food was ok. I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong thing but I've never had a breakfast biscuit sandwich with lettuce on it before. On the menu it said served with hash browns. I was served fried potato cubes, not hash browns and they did not taste good.They were under seasoned and cold. I thought it was crazy that coffee here is market price. I understand that a nice cold brew with syrups can cost much more than a cup of hot coffee but I appreciate transparency in pricing. We will not be back. The only issue I had was that they sat us at a table that was 5 feet from the restroom doors. The food was okay. There were 4 of us and half ate pancakes and then the other half ate fish tacos. I tried their Old Fashion and it was pretty awful. I drink Old Fashions often, this one was really not good. The servers were very friendly. The thing I disliked the most was being surprised with the 4.5% credit card fee and that honestly was what made the experience at this place walking away being the worst part. With high food prices and high taxes and then adding a 4.5% fee onto of that and then they expect me to tip? Wow! My bill ended up being $125 and if I'm going to spend that kind of money at a breakfast like place I should be amazed but I wasn't. I shouldn't be surprised with a fee like this and when I pulled out a debit card to avoid the fee I was told I would still have to pay the fee. I will not return to a place the operates like this. This is a must breakfast/brunch spot on the island. Wonderful deco, plenty of seating for small and large groups. If they don't have a table large enough, they'll make one. If you're coming alone or a party of two, they also have counter seats. The food is fantastic, from burgers to pancakes. Everything is delicious. Our table of five all had something different. The burger was huge, fresh and tasty. The Eggs Benedict was fabulous. The veggie omelette was loaded and wonderful. And then there's the shrimp and grits, goodness gracious it was amazing. "Hash browns" looked like they nuked them from prior day (shriveled up chunks). No syrup for ice cold pancake (went in the garbage), burritos needed to be nuked. Bacon was, well bacon. I also ordered a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. Nothing to write home about except the dressing were extremely salty. They really should really take the crab cakes off the menu. I would be managing my egg-pectations with the regular Benedict without getting crabby! On the other hand, the staff were friendly and attentive. Even though our hotel offers free breakfast we enjoy trying local restaurants. Had breakfast sharing a veggie omelette with grits, native pancake, side of bacon. Coffee was good, Kimberly's service was superb, Omelette was filled with veggies as described along with a lot of cheese. Bacon was extra crispy. Really quaint locmall brunch spot. I'd read really good things about it, and while the service was wonderful, the food just didn't live up to the hype. Two of my kids got the biscuits and gravy- one with a side of bacon and one with a side of home fries. The sausage gravy was very mild and needed salt, and the texture of the biscuits was way off. They were weirdly spongy, like drop biscuits maybe. Definitely not a good Southern biscuit. Another of my kids got the Mahi tacos, and they were amazing. Really wonderful cubed fish was lightly seasoned and absol delicious. I ordered the crab cakes Benedict. And they were terrible. The eggs were poached a little too done- the yolks were jammy. The crab cakes were oddly gelatinous with a uniform texture throughout. There was no distinct crab to be seen (or breadcrumbs or onions/celery/peppers)- it was just a completely homogeneous grey goo that smelled fishy. Stick to the Canadian bacon! read more

Ordered 2 eggs at $4.05ea biscuit at $3.15 Gravy $4.15 so that's $16.40 for an order of Biscuit & Gravy with 2 eggs that my Wife was able to eat at couple of bites of biscuit, the scrambled eggs were OK but my Oatmeal with Raisons, maybe 6-8 and Apples, 3 very thin slices and Oatmeal had a taste that I did not recognize, couldn't have been Quaker Oates, in my opinion, the server was very friendly and helpful. If you're in need of some sustenance and a clean, chill environment, this little cafe does the job. Place was decorated in fun art and beach colors with cute merchandise on a back wall. They Almost got me with their hat! For me, the food options were super basic and average to small portions. I was hungry and looking for more but it still hit the spot. Everything was tasty and cooked to order. They have a house made "cookie" that had dried nuts and fruits which was quite delicious! Coffee was hot, tasty and the mimosa was cold. My first time was in 2016 before I was serious about reviews. Both experiences were good. Today I had the Hungry Native: eggs your way, bacon, ham or sausage, one pancake and choice of toast, grits or hash browns. I substituted the latter for an extra protein. The breakfast was great! My scrambled eggs were super fresh, bacon was crispy, the sausage patties were perfect and the pancake was fluffy they syrup tasted like it had a hint of berries. You can add bacon or grilled jalapeños. Moi has had the Cheeseburger three different ways and it's just fabulous every time. I thought this place was pretty good. I didn't get anything outrageous. Just some pancakes for my daughter. And I ordered the food to go. So taking into account the drive and everything I think about this place is pretty good. The kids pancakes were a lot bigger and I expected which was great. I got a side of bacon with them to accompany the potatoes. Now I'm more of a crunchy potato person and these were a little bit too soft for me but my daughter seem to like them. The pancakes were super fluffy and tasted great. I was really impressed, especially since I had to drive back to the condo and was expecting them to be a little bit soggy because of the drive. And they weren't! I also got an iced coffee and a regular coffee. The iced coffee. I got a flavor in it and it was mostly okay. Nothing bad. Nothing over the moon about pretty standard. And same goes for the regular drip coffee. Pretty standard as far as coffee goes. Next time we come here I would like to sit and eat in the cafe. The food looked pretty good from the menu and I would like to try some more things. read more

This place is an over priced tourist trap. We paid 60 $ for four eggs. A cup of beans, a bowl of grits. Two table spoons of salsa and a half cup of beans. The tortillas were straight out of the package =cold. We thought we'd try local instead of hotel breakfast and we REGRET it. The Hilton has an excellent AYCE buffet for 24 $ PP with beverages and the food is 100 times better than Native cafe. They are obviously charging their customers to pay for their expanded space. Such shame to leave this place hungry and feeling ripped off! read more
