    Dead fly

Owner rude. Food had no flavor, dead fly on condiments, store bought rolls were dry. Best thing was the drinks. Would give it no starts if possible. Use to love coming here but it has gone down hill. Won't be back

What a cool place! Total 50's - 60's vibe... when we entered we were greeted and seated immediately. The hostess/waitress was very friendly and efficient. The menu has a vast array of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The awesome thing is that you can order whatever you want whenever you want. The food was really good, as was the service. We visited in the morning so we opted for more of the breakfasty type options. I plan to return with the family, as I think the kids will really like the place.

The food was PHENOMENAL! My wife and I splurged here for a celebration and couldn't not have been happier! A coworker recommended it but they definitely undersold it! The service made feel like I was at home; important but relaxed to not helicoptering but never let drinks run dry. The atmosphere was one of what I think a '50's diner would be like. It reminded us of an old-timey Steak n Shake but with much better food!

Really REALLY wanted to like this place, and I am usually willing to give a spot a second chance. Got seated, and placed our order...35 mins for our food to come out. We ordered the salmon omelet and potatoes, French toast, bacon, cheese curds, and grits, and buttered noodles. The omelet was dry (I mean like dry and cardboard like). The smoked salmon was in a word, horrible as it seemed to sit on the griddle way too long. The feta was a weird texture, so the omelet was a complete fail. The French toast was soggy and tasted as if it had seasoned salt on it. Bacon was good, cheese curds were just ok (not crispy). The buttered noodles were served in a dirty bowl (inside and out as if it hadn't been washed). The grits were beyond bad. We are not ones for sending food back, so we just paid the check and bounced. PNot sure I want to take a second shot considering so much was bad.

We were greeted promptly and the place looks like a 60's diner on the inside and out. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered and our food was out within 10 minutes. It was hot and delicious. Our eggs were cooked to perfection. My scrambled eggs were fluffy and buttery. My friends over easy were a 10! Most cooks either get the yellow too hard or the white too runny. Our compliments to the cook! The server made the statement the "A Team was there today." We will be back!!

Ate here today with my sister and there was mold on our blueberry cobbler. I informed the waitress and she said it was just the "blueberries".. Looking back at the picture it was clearly mold and we really regret believing the waitress and eating it. I was super excited too to try this place after family recommended it.. Super Disappointed.

We picked this place because it's dog friendly. The patio seating was really nice, they were accommodating to our dog, and the food was good. Everything came out quickly and the server was great.

What a cute diner!!!! It made me feel like I went back in time. Me and my husband and my two boys were in town for a charter fishing trip. We actually ate here before heading out on that trip. We wanted to fill up before hitting the water. The vibe is super fun. The service was great. The food was great and cheap!!!!! Me and my husband had the chicken & waffles and my kids shared the 5-stack pancakes with bacon & eggs. Everything was great. I wanna go back when I'm in town again.

Steel Pony Diner was formerly located at Gather location on Navy Blvd. The dining room is anywhere inside or outside patio of Dorothy's. Interior is "Wizard of Oz" theme. Ironically, there use to be a gay club in Pensacola called "Emerald City". The Steel Pony area at the side of the bar where you can order from Kyree. Order here and then find a place to seat inside or outside and Kyree will deliver your food. It is unclear whether to order drink with Kyree or go to the bar. This time around I went to the bar to get a coke, water, and a vodka soda. Since this location is new, I am confident they will figure it out whether or not Steel Pony Diner can order drinks at the bar where the experience can feel a bit more full service where I can order my food and drinks with one person with Kyree or order at the bar with the bar tender. FYI. Dorothy's is a non for profit bar to help fund raise for OASIS (a HIV prevention service and also serves people with HIV/AIDS). This visit, I had their signature Prego Sandwich served with a side of au ju and your choice of side garnished with Mable's Sweet Garlic Dill Pickles (I will cover later). For $2 extra I added grilled mushrooms. This sandwich is delicious!!! It is so good, it could be part of the Pensacola tourist DNA, meaning, if u visited Pensacola and had the Prego sandwich you will think about this sandwich when u think of visiting Pensacola. If u are visiting Pensacola, and not bothered with the LGBTQ community make Steel Pony Diner @ Dorothy's your next destination especially Memorial Day Weekend. With that said, let's talk about Mable's Sweet Garlic Dill Pickles made by Todd Morris of Family Orchard Farm. These pickles are like a savory candy... delish!!! I am not really into pickles, but these here are so good! I wonder if they make a relish version. If not, Todd, helurrrrrr?!?!?! You can get a jar for $12 at Steel Pony Diner. Ask Kyree or Eric to purchase.

However the accompanying Yorkshire Pudding - "cold" and rubbery.....please do not serve this again to my British heritage chef wife! (Likely held too long, perhaps steamed to warm, definitely not fresh-out-of--the-oven.) Desserts (we took home in 2Go boxes): Key Lime pie....nah. A bit short on that tangy lime flavor we expected. Sticky Toffee Pudding....yes, yes, yes. Tender, moist, sponge with host of flavors and topped with an (optional) thin caramel sauce. Really excellent sans sauce.
