Buffalo chicken wrap with homemade chips and ranch
Macy T.

Stumbled upon this place while here for a business trip with one of my coworkers. I must say this was one of the best meals during our week here with definitely some of the best views. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and she got the shrimp po boy and we were both satisfied with our meal. We had ocean view dining and great service by our waitress. Everyone was incredibly friendly and prices weren't too outrageous. I will definitely be back here if I come back to Pensacola beach in the future. Great beach side bar and grill! I will say though we came back on a Thursday night expecting some night life after 9pm and the place was dead. We still enjoyed sitting at the bar watching some of the NBA finals and having a drink, but had to go elsewhere to keep the night going.

This place is what it is: a ratchet beach bar. Most negative reviewers are approching this place all wrong. This place is great if you do it right. I go here to drink shitty beer and people watch. Grab a cold one and a bar stool facing the gulf and enjoy the parade of beachgoers. It deserves at least 3 stars just for this. I would never even consider eating here. If i did i would absolutely expect it to be greasy awful bar food. Not sure why people are surprised when it sucks. Same goes for the frozen drinks. I mean, just look at those gross machines. Or just look at the building you're in. I wouldnt get anything that doesnt come in a can. To the one star reviewers: you did this to yourself. My only real complaint is that the bar staff can be a little snotty and getting a drink can take a while sometimes. And the place is pretty gross, but it's pensacola beach. For those of us that have been here since before the pastel hotels, this is norm and it's fine. Go to seaside next year if you want sterile, we'll be fine in our little redneck beach town without you. At night its a dance club. Avoid unless you're in your mid 20s, white girl wasted, and/or trying to get some regrettable stank on your swang low.

Look at that nasty thing. Ugh. July 24, 2011. Yeah, it's blurry, but I was shaking with rage because of this joke of a burger.

The worst hamburger on the beach...by far. It's a pre-formed, frozen patty in the shape of an asteroid. Or something. I've bought the same burgers from Sam's Club, where they are called TNT Burgers. The difference? When I cook 'em at the house, they don't cost $9 apiece. Hell, I didn't even get a toasted bun for my money. Greasy fries. Blech. I like hanging out at the Dock and will continue to do so, but will never order another burger. It's a shame that the management chooses to serve such dreck. Pfft. So, four stars as a place to hang out and drink, two-stars on the strength--or lack thereof--of their crappy burger.

a burger and fries

Place is terrible. Terrible food and service. We order led burger kids meal and they burnt the burger. And the most simplest thing you can make ever in life TOAST, they burnt it too. Even gave them the chance to redo it and they still burnt it. Thing is we also ask for wings to be well done and they undercooked it. We didnt have time for them to recook them as we had to catch a flight, so we ask them to just take it off the bill, then the waitress comes by with someone who Im guessing was either the head waitress or "manager" I say that very loosely and preceded to argue with us about doneness and then told us she likes her toast burnt. "Eats it burnt up all the time" . Either way we left and since a tip is reflective of the service. Yall got zip. Sorry your coworkers are trash to the nice one. Sounds like the whole place is trash from the previous reviews ( its a shame really. And now that Im done with the objective part, I'm gonna read ya head waitress that came rudely to our table. I should not be surprise that you like your toast burnt. From head to toe you look overdone and overworked. From your tan to your way to you balloon looking lips) .You probably wont ever see us in your establishment again probably wont care but take this information with you. If your son is about to be 2nd round in NFL draft...or your a nurse practitioner making six figures...you think somebody worried about paying for a burnt ass burger, toast, and undercook wings. Enjoy your life at The Dock!

The sun popped out today so we headed to the beach. We decided to stop in at the Dock since we'd never been. We were drawn because of the music playing and the fact that the bar faced the beach. Had a yummy bushwacker. Bartender was nice. Chill spot. Great location.

A major disappointment for a touristy area!!! So much potential... but a huge disappointment nonetheless!!! Appearance is drab at best.

The food is awesome, and the drinks are priced well. The only problem is on the non beach months they close super early.

Great bushwacker. Awful food. Walk to one of the other restaurants next door if you want to eat. They play 90's crap music too.

Since the three of us in our group aren't big eaters, we asked to split a portion of everything we ordered, and she didn't blink an eye. We started with the BBQ shrimp, which was fantastic! It's not a heavy, traditional BBQ flavor--it's more of a rich, New Orleans-style sauce. With six shrimp total, it was perfect for splitting, especially with the delicious bread served alongside it to soak up that amazing sauce. Nom!! Two of us split the wedge salad, and Brittany happily accommodated our special request for ranch instead of blue cheese. Our other friend had the kale salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the main course, the three of us split the filet mignon, which came with a dollop of mashed potatoes. The char on the steak was absolutely fabulous, and the potatoes paired with it perfectly! The restaurant is fairly dark and can get a bit noisy on busy nights, but we enjoyed our time immensely. Grand Marlin has private rooms and is easily the most high-end restaurant on Pensacola Beach. Our total was $178.00 before tip, which is well worth it. The attire ranges anywhere from dressy to beach casual, they have several great seating options for special occasions, and there's even a gift shop with some great finds. For anyone who remembers, this used to be the Boy on a Dolphin years ago. As an honorary Pensacolian since 1975, I consider myself a bit of an expert on all things Pensacola Beach--and you won't be disappointed here! Pro tip: Get a group photo by the bay before leaving. Even at night, it shows off those perfect Pensacola views.

"Goods" was our server & bartender, and he was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered us the best choices for our wants. he was very attentive & stayed on top of water refills as well! it might have been around 3-4pm when we were there and it was quiet, music was not too loud or over powering. the table we were seated at was inside, but the large windows were open, allowing all the crisp breeze to come in and a beautiful view of the water right there!! it was so gorgeous! we started with the bang-bang shrimp appetizer which was PHENOMENAL!! the portion sizes were great and left us with extra! perfect mix of spicy & sweet, and perfect crunchy. my fiancé got a bushwacker & i had some kind of watermelon drink and both were top notch. for our entrees, i had a blackened chicken caesar wrap & my fiancé got the blackened mahi-mahi tacos. both were so good i didn't get any pics of them lol. overall, our experience was truly perfect for a laidback afternoon dinner :) we can't wait to come back again!

I had to ask the host to find someone after waiting 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Ordered the tuna poke nachos and a Harvest salad. Salad was large and tasty. Nachos were a large plate of chips with 15 pieces max of tiny cubes of tuna. That's AFTER taking the advice of our waitress to double the tuna. (Of course for an up-charge). We confirmed with her since it was so few pieces, and she said yes, 4 ounces of tuna. The sauces were tasty but so not worth the price tag. There were several large tables full of people around us and a live musician, so the noise level - on the outside patio even - was super loud. We had to yell to each other at our table. If you're looking for a party place on the beach, this seems like your place.
