Every week day has a different special...although I can't remember what day has what. There's delicious beef tips and gravy, fried chicken, turkey and dressing, stuff like that. I've had the beef tips several times and they are tender, tasty, and the gravy is awesome. This is a hybrid Blue Plate joint. You get a meat, two sides, and a bread for $5.99. No dessert or drink included. Of course, this being adjacent to the Circle K, you can pop next door and get a capacious schooner of soda for 79 cents. I think that the Circle K also has a case full of Krispy Kremes, too. Five Points is an oasis in a commercial wasteland. There are more options than there used to be, but having an option for a healthier lunch or snack is welcome. Second party was for our retired or mostly retired friends and we loved the Oysters Rockefeller, shrimp cocktail, more lasagna, and Spinach and artichoke dip!
