Stopped by Waffle House this Sunday morning, and despite it being very busy, the service was good! Their locations are small but we got there just in time because a table opened up. Our food came out quickly, and everything was hot and delicious. I enjoyed breakfast with my sisters, brother-in-law, and nephew, making for a great start to the day. We ordered the All-Star Special, the sausage, egg & cheese hash brown bowl, and the Texas egg & cheese melt plate. Everything was cooked just right! For drinks, we had orange juice and water--simple but refreshing. The staff was friendly, efficient, and kept everything running smoothly even with the crowd.

It does not matter where I am I going to find a Waffle House. The breakfast is so good. They are quick with the service. It's always packed so sometimes there is a bit of a wait to sit down. The place is also small. The grits good just right creamy and the butter just melts. The waffle is so good it just melts in your mouth. I have no complaints when it come to they food it's always satisfying.

If you've spent any amount of time in the South, or even the Midwest, you've no doubt seen superfluous numbers of Waffle House restaurants dotting the country. With 1,900+ locations and more than 40,000 employees, WH sightings are common at damn-near every highway intersection, in small towns, and nestled into small commercial lots between gas stations, muffler shops, and convenience stores. Despite annual cross-country road trips and a cult-following, we had never stopped at an "Awful House" as the unenlightened might refer to this gem. That all changed a few days ago... with time to kill in Orlando waiting a day for our flight home, we finally pulled into the small lot of an unassuming WH, literally next door to a pawn shop. As we entered the door, the first thing we noticed as a long line waiting for a table or a seat at the counter. The kind manager informed us we were "fifth in line," and didn't bother to take our name.... Dude just remembered who was next. While waiting, I looked around the small interior: several workers busied themselves behind the counter and out into the small restaurant, hustling plates and mugs of hot coffee to hungry guests. I found myself sitting nest to "the Sisters"-- two nice gals who promised me they wouldn't bite, and had all the plumage of enjoying the retired life-- definitely regulars at this Waffle House. When they got their table, they ordered "their usual" before they even sat down. We were seated quickly and ordered up our breakfasts from the limited menu. The grill rockstar cook had our food to us quickly, and our server was kind to the kids and efficient with our service. Food was fine and cheap. On our way out, we had a laugh with one server, Tyler the Styler, who when asked about his awesome tie-dye Waffle House hat, informed us about a selection of WH gear at the nearby WalMart, and a larger selection on the WH website. If you've never seen it, you're really missing out. ... and if you've avoided WH all these years, lower your champagne expectations a little bit and go enjoy some Real Life on your next vacation. It's quick, cheap, and easy... probably the most wholesome thing you'll enjoy on vacation with that combination of adjectives.

Waffle House has become an iconic presence on the culinary landscape here in the southeastern United States. It seems that their familiar logo beckons in all of its bright yellow neon glory road-weary travelers, partying college kids, parents with kids in tow, hungry workers seeking a casual and quick sit-down meal and just about everyone else from every walk of life. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. This particular location is a bit set back and might be easy to miss. It is close to the intersection of Semoran Boulevard and Curry Ford Road. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. For my main course, I have usually gone with their patty melts or one of their egg breakfast options. I myself can see the strangeness that I have never having a waffle and a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. It seems that they are on almost every major highway exit ramp and strategically placed throughout most cities and towns in the southeast. If you see one, give them a try.

Thank you Rachel for waiting on me. Great attitude, full of smiles. Sorry the last guest got upset and got you a bit frustrated. You're doing a great job and love that you know your customers name and interact with them like they're apart of your family. It was my first time having a breakfast bowl and I loved it! My new breakfast meal now!

It is nice when you can give a positive review and today the Waffle House deserved the 5 stars. Our server was excellent and breakfast excellent and so filling. We have not been to Waffle House in years for no other reason and just not going. This morning my wife had blood work done early so we decided to stop at Waffle House. We will be returning for breakfast and this Waffle House is less than a mile from our home. I had one of the bowl's and could not eat it all (full). My wife had the eggs, hash browns and toast with tea. Definitely will return for breakfast in the future.

Not that anyone will ever read this, but this is the first waffle house I've ever been to that said 'no' to the veteran discount?! This company was founded by two veterans!? (I'd give the discount back to the server anyway)

Can't complain about the all American breakfast with a waffle, 2 eggs, bacon, and a biscuit. The server was very sweet and managed multiple tables with ease.

Linda is an amazing server and definitely provides great customer service to her tables, came in on a Sunday very quick service, good prices, and the music is great also. Food is a little bland but what do you expect it's Waffle House. Will definitely be coming back.

My friend wanted to take me to a restaurant I've never been to before and was surprise when I said I'd never been to Waffle House and requested to eat here. Since my favorite meal is breakfast for dinner we went to dinner time; I ordered waffles and sausages. I loved the inside from the 50's diner counter, to the white plates stacked on top of the cabinet to the $1 jukebox. It's small and cozy. Immediately upon entering the staff greeted us and the manager on duty ( I believe his name is Eric) was very personable. More than just welcoming us to the restaurant he initiated small talk about our day. The service was fast and the food was nice and hot . My food had regular dinner favor; but it wasn't bad. The prices are ver reasonable for the portion so I would definitely stop here again.

The cocktails were exceptional, perfectly crafted and consistent, complementing both our oysters and entrées beautifully. The Oyster Rockefeller was fresh and cooked to perfection. For our main course, we enjoyed the ribeye with Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese, and every bite was absolutely amazing. To top off the evening, we shared the chocolate cake, which was nothing short of divine. From the food and drinks to the service and atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations. I wish I knew his name, but I loved his service. The wine and the espresso martini were really good. My girlfriend, especially like the espresso martini and its blend of liquor with the tartness. In terms of the food, it was all really wonderful. The chicken and dumplings came with this delicious sauce that I couldn't get enough off. The potato dumplings were alright, but the seasoning and mix of the sauce was perfect for the chicken. The serving size was good as well and there was barely any bone to interrupt eating it. My girlfriend said that the steak was cooked perfectly medium as they asked. The steak sauce paired really well, and they had enough for leftovers, and enjoyed it even more the day after. The Mac & cheese was alright, we just wish there had been more of a crunch to the cheese. However, we both really liked the shape of the pasta as we don't really see those as often. Also not depicted here, but we got the cocktail shrimp. My girlfriend loved this one too, specifically noting how large and cold the shrimps were. The cocktail sauce was delicious and had a nice kick to it, and definitely squeeze the lemon that comes with it on the shrimp. Since it was an anniversary, they surprised us with complimentary dessert that was phenomenal. My girlfriend doesn't really like cheesecake or coconut, but somehow loved the dessert. It's an off menu item but it blends coconut, cheesecake, and a brownie.

It was really fresh and it was a nice pallet cleanser after the brussel sprouts. For my entree, I ordered the Alabama chicken. I was excited because my friend ordered this last time and I really liked it. I was underwhelmed this time. The chicken was a little dry and the fried Mac and cheese was really dry. For dessert, we ordered chocolate olive oil cake, which was very moist. We also ordered the hazelnut panna cotta, which was a special. It was good but compared to the cake, it wasn't very memorable. As for service, it was excellent. It's a very small dining room and you do need a reservation.

They had reached out to me ahead of time due to my crustacean allergy originally saying one of the courses was shrimp which they had no substitute for and so I asked if I could double up on something else and they said they would see what they could do. Not only did they have a substitute (we got to be the first ones to try a brand new chicken dish) but they made sure everyone at the table also got a serving. Only thing was it was a little saltier than I would have liked. Next was the salad, which was one of the better dishes. It was light, refreshing, and different tastes and textures with the crunchy corn. For the proteins, overall lots of great flavors and is cooked to perfection. My only complaint, again, is that too much salt is used for my liking. The first bite is the best, but then you start to feel it, the need for water. Finally the dessert were picarones, fried sweet potato with a fruit syrup. I was not a fan of the donut to syrup ratio, theres way too much syrup, but at least it's a nice contrast of sweet and crispy golden on the outside, and soft and moist on the inside. I also liked the quantity of the food, had leftovers to take back which is a lot for a Michellin star restaurant.
