What a gratifying experience we had at Bob Evan's. First time was the charm. Our group of four had different plates. My wife's beer battered Alaskan cod tasted fresh. My breakfast plate was also very good and unlike many restaurant chains, it came to the table hot. Great bacon, sausage, pancakes and scrambled eggs made to perfection. The cranberry pecan salad was also very good. Our server Tammy provided excellent service. I highly recommend this specific location. read more

Twice my mom wanted food from here. Twice they couldn't get it right. The first night they left a side out. The second they let my food sit waiting for me to pick up because the rolls weren't ready. After about 20 minutes of that and me pressing they admitted the rolls were proofing. That's an hour process and coming into supper at 5pm that's crazy. I suppose they would have let me sit there waiting on food. I chose biscuits instead and got the cold dinner home. If it's up up to me I'll never go there again. read more

Always love a farm themed restaurant. Somehow the eggs taste fresher. The drinks in mason jars felt home-sie. The banana bread is fabulous and the pumpkin spice bread (seasonal) is even better. We frequent Bob Evans as it's an easy place for everyone in the family to find something on the menu. Greeted right away when we walked in the door,very pleasantly and seated. The staff worked as a team which was nice to see these days. We'd much prefer to give our hard earned money to our local mom and pop restaurants but we'll occasionally toss some cash to a chain just to check in and see "what's up"? Busy place, good service, good food and the coupon that brought us in was enough to satiate our Bob Evan's appetites till the next time. 1/29/22- On my own for breakfast this morning and did not want fast food nor Denny's IHOP. Had been to Bob Evans other locations with out of town family and friends at least twice and have enjoyed their offerings and service and was not disappointed today. Check-in was a little clunky as was first questioned as to whether picking up or sitting in and then watched an interchange between the cashier and wait staff as where to seat me. I think the default should be to be ready to seat someone and then pivot to a pickup as necessary. I was sat in Jesse's section and she was very attentive checking in with me regularly throughout my meal. I ordered the Honey Chicken with Biscuit and was pleasantly surprised vs. my usual Chicken Fried Steak I normally go for. Ordered with extra biscuits, hash browns and scrambled eggs with green onions sprinkled in. Liked the orange juice in the mason jar type glassware and was brought water in the same type of glassware without having to ask. Food hit the spot and Jesse made me feel valued as a customer. Today we had the best food and superb service that we have had for years at a Bob Evans in Fern Park. After several disappointing visits, my faith in Bob Evans is restored. Breakfast use to be really good but now anymore . The omelettes have no flavor . I always got double chocolate pancakes they came wip cream which they longer give you . The pancakes are dry and the only give tiny thing of syrup. The cold brew coffee is good but that's about it . read more

Went to this Bob Evans at 10am on a Sunday. It was already getting busy when we arrived but we were seated within 5 minutes. Our server was nice enough but I could tell she was busy and we didn't see her much. The wait was a little long for food, but not out of control. I got the banana berry farmer meal but ended up getting plain pancakes with strawberries with my meal instead of the blueberry and banana. I would've asked for it switched but by the time the server came back I was over waiting and just ate it. Unfortunately, my meal was not good. Everything was undercooked. The bacon, scrambled eggs and the hash browns all needed more time on the grill. My husband enjoyed his meal though and my mother in law liked her biscuits and gravy. I love this chain restaurant, I wish they had it in Cali. They have the best breakfast. Diner style...similar to Denny's but way better. And they have ways that you can mix and match your portions so you can have waffles and a side of biscuits and gravy for under $10 (super reasonable prices). And you can also order dinner during breakfast hours for those that aren't feeling like breakfast foods. Fresh off a flight and my people suggest "rib sticking food" from Bob Evans. It was ok, not great but prices are reasonable and the staff was friendly. I ordered the chicken fried steak with a side of mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. I've had better all the way around. The macaroni tasted a bit al dente and the cheese they used tasted synthetic to me. I sent it back and ordered a side of broccoli. It came super steamy and tasted rubbery as if it had been microwaved. My dad ordered the fish with a side of slaw and mother ordered the beef stew which tasted nice. There seems to be a lot of favoritism for the regular customers and I don't think that is fair. We won't go back. This one serves hair in it's food which was first discover by my eleven year old and myself in two different foods. 3. The manager wrote off the orders but the concept of hair in foods is disgusting. 4. In case you're wondering, the two items were (a) french fries and (b) banana bread. 5. Been coming to this location for about 15 years. One if the nicest things about it was the counter seating. Generally we got faster service and the servers were friendly and attentive. Little things like that made this a nice, quaint place to come for a weekend breakfast. Our visit today was a disappointment. The counter was cut in half in favor of a large display full of baked goods and other items that, personally, I never cared for. I go to a restaurant to eat, not to shop for groceries. They expanded this area by taking space from the dining areas on either side, a huge design flaw on my book. They put the register in this area as well leaving the line of customers that need to pay their bills to overflow into one of the dining rooms. Major fail on that one. In the end, I understand that sometimes it is important to modernize but in this case, they have substituted a friendly, quaint atmosphere for commercialization. I believe this is a mistake as it changes the very environment they spent years creating. read more

I had breakfast here yesterday (the first time I've ever eaten in a Bob Evans) and found the place a pretty good joint. While the food's not as good as, say, a Denny's (on the high end) or a Waffle House (in that oh-so-dirty but oh-so-tasty low end), it definitely beats out IHOP as a place I'd go get breakfast in the morning. I ordered a "Bob-rrito" (thank you for adding that particular worthless portmanteau to my language, Bob Evans) there, since I'm a fan of the breakfast burrito, and it was quite good, with the exception of the fact that it was covered in cheese sauce and, as such, notably not a finger food. The whole point--to me--of a breakfast burrito is that you should be able to pick it up and scarf it down at high speeds. I also shared a friend's Apple Pie Fries, which should be featured in thisiswhyyourefat.com, and found them an unobjectionable sweet snack. Their pancakes are pancakey and their food is, in general, American standard without any unusual flair or details. I'd say it's a safe choice when you're looking for standard American food. Anyone who's a friend of mine on Yelp will see that I am a discriminating burger eater; I will turn my critical eye here some afternoon and see how their burger fares. read more
