Wow! I'm blown away! Ive never been to a Waffle House, and was amazed. I expected bottom of the barrel experience, but what I got was nothing short of amazing. I was greeted as soon as I entered by the two wait staff.. the place was like a diner in decor, and clean. We chose our seats with a nice view of the busy street, and we're welcomed again with menus . Our gracious waitress was Rita. She was so sweet, very knowledgeable about the menu, and even made helpful suggestions. We ordered, and our food was brought to us hot, and fresh. The patty melt was delicious. The hash browns were on point. Rita refilled our drink's promptly, and she even allowed me to get a selfie with her. She instructed me to go to the Walgreens to print it out so I could be on her " wall of Fame!" I did just that!!! Her wall of fame includes many Jaguar players, and even the owner of Waffle House! I made the wall of fame!!! I highly recommend this great restaurant for delicious hot, and fresh food with a totally welcoming experience. Rita really made my day! Walked up to the restaurant at 11:28 with my mother and was told by the security guard we were not allowed to dine in and had to order from the window because the dining room closed at 11:30. Some of the nicest people hang out at the Waffle House. They have amazing food I wish they would open more locations out in like Colorado, or Wyoming, or Utah they have 2 in CO and none in the aforementioned states they would make a killing out there. Waffle House is always my favorite after a nice night out, and this Waffle House did not disappoint because the employees provide excellent service. In addition, our dinner was prepared and served immediately. The dining experience was quite consistent with other Waffle House locations I had visited. The restaurant was quite clean and organized, so I felt very at ease while eating. Overall, an excellent choice for breakfast or a late-night dinner. Definitely going to visit more often. read more

Waffle house is one of those diners where you can go in order eat and be out in 30 minutes or less ehich is great. The food is always fast and great as i get the all star special. However, this recent visit was not great. Everything was good, people was nice refilled my coffee etc. then they started to talk and kept talking about a coworkers open wound. I very rarely cross the ditch to the beach, so I'm not really sure when I'll be back to this particular location, but hubby and I did have a good experience here. It was after 2am and they weren't very busy. I was surprised since it was a weekend and the bars had just closed. The restaurant was clean. We had a great server. She got our order correct and kept our drinks refilled. She was also really friendly. Our food was cooked perfectly. You wouldn't think cooking over-medium eggs would be a difficult thing, but surprisingly enough, I get them all the time with the yellow completely cooked. ICK. I will not eat eggs with the yolk completely cooked. They got my eggs cooked perfectly though. Hubby was extra hungry, so he actually ordered two meals. Maybe that was because he'd been drinking all night? LOL He ordered two of the Texas Lover's BLTs with a double order of hash browns. It must have been good because he devoured it. Every time we go into Waffle House it's after midnight. The service is awesome. The food is prepared just like we asked. This is the location on Beach Blvd by Jax Beach. They can go half orders! I had a half order of the sausages egg and cheese hash brown bowl and a pecan waffle. The breakfast bowl was very filling and tasty. The side of sausage gravy was perfect to have on the breakfast bowl. I would order this again. I love the pecan waffles and that is what I order every time I am in a Waffle House. I eat them plain without butter and syrup usually but occasionally I get the peanut butter chips added. They are so so so good. This place is inexpensive dining that is done very well. What a good experience. I too my 2 boys here for breakfast for the 1st time. They are 12 & 10. We are from NJ where diners are king. They had waffles & bacon. This place really surprised me! My daughters and I decided on breakfast for dinner, and even though the parking lot isn't well lit and is a bit scary, the food and staff were AWESOME. Seriously, the waffle I had was the best, ever! So fluffy and thick - delicious! You seat yourself when you come in, and they serve you super quick. The food comes out fast, and on point. I even added bacon after I received my food and it didn't take them any time at all to whip that up. To top it off, it was only $25 for so much food! Josie was so friendly, we had a great time. I don't think this place is ever very busy outside of that time, but once the bars flip on the lights and kick people out it provides somehwhere else for the crowds to move. Why didn't anyone tell me how good the steak is here?! I found my self here around five in the morning last Sunday. Was I prepping for sunrise Easter service or completing a Saturday night bender? I'll let you decide... Anyways, with 24 hour places you always have some reserve about going to them. Not the case here. I ordered the 11 oz rib eye with eggs, hash browns, and toast. It came out surprisingly quick! Granted, it wasn't a full house when we were there. Maybe it was the cooks playful banter with each other that kept us laughing while we waited? To my delight, the steak was cooked a prefect medium rare, super tender, and well seasoned. After I raved about it the waitress, I was informed that waffle house actually sells the most steaks in America. I haven't googled it to verfiy, but part of me wants to believe. If you find yourself hungry at 5 AM regardless of what circumstances got you there, I highly recommend the ole' Waffle House. read more

First off, this business is NOT closed, so I'm glad to know that I can revive what wasn't dead to begin with. Well, let's get the cons out of the way first as there are so few of them. It's a bit far to drive, but it's incredibly convenient for late night club hopping eats. I can usually expect great service and sucky food except that lovely 3rd shift (late night/early morning) with Amanda - a hilarious & friendly server. Last but not least, you've got the classic diner cleanliness standard - always ask for a glass of hot water (used for tea, from the coffee maker) to sterilize your utensils, and I'd advise to-go cups for drinks. Waffle Houses don't use commercial washers - they use a sink at the server station. Now for the good stuff! For one, I have a love for Waffle House - I practically grew up in one, and I've been known to call my own orders. The best things in general are: you can watch your food as it's being made, you can hear your order when it's called so you know your server is doing her job in a timely fashion, the short order cooks make your food fresh as it's called, the servers AND COOKS epitomize southern hospitality - you'd be hard pressed to find a rude crew. The Texas Bacon Patty Melts are to die for, the bacon is crunchy but not burnt, the eggs are fluffy, and the service is great! All in all, EAT AT WAFFLE HOUSE!
