This is one of my favorite restaurants I've been too. I don't say this as a joke. I can only speak for the Sunday morning crew/ shift. They are always EXCELLENT with their customer service and food. Everyone is in a good mood and the fact of the matter is that after having worked in many restaurants myself, I recognize them as some of the hardest workers I've ever seen. Big time kuddos to these people!!!!!!!!! read more

Im not trying to be rude, but the server Waffle House had on messed up every order he got. The chef had to remake 3 different items, and there were only 4 tables sat in the restaurant. I kid you not every order he took down was messed up or ended up being incorrect, the restaurant was dead when we arrived but half of the tables were either dirty, sticky, or even had ants on them. Lastly, the chef was great, food was good, he did all the work while we watched Caden, the server, repeatedly touch his nose, im telling u im not trying to be rude but he touched his nose over 10 times and didn't use gloves once, AND NEVER WASHED HIS HANDS. Love Waffle House so no hate to the other staff, the other staff always are locked in and do an amazing job. This is just towards the server we had yesterday. read more

Wow! I'm blown away! Ive never been to a Waffle House, and was amazed. I expected bottom of the barrel experience, but what I got was nothing short of amazing. I was greeted as soon as I entered by the two wait staff.. the place was like a diner in decor, and clean. We chose our seats with a nice view of the busy street, and we're welcomed again with menus . Our gracious waitress was Rita. She was so sweet, very knowledgeable about the menu, and even made helpful suggestions. We ordered, and our food was brought to us hot, and fresh. The patty melt was delicious. The hash browns were on point. Rita refilled our drink's promptly, and she even allowed me to get a selfie with her. She instructed me to go to the Walgreens to print it out so I could be on her " wall of Fame!" I did just that!!! Her wall of fame includes many Jaguar players, and even the owner of Waffle House! I made the wall of fame!!! I highly recommend this great restaurant for delicious hot, and fresh food with a totally welcoming experience. Rita really made my day! I'll return for breakfast soon!! read more

I have never seen so many smiles in one restaurant, ever. The cooks and servers all had such a good rapport. They cracked jokes and made each other laugh, all while busily doing their jobs. My food was served hot off the griddle and was delicious. Crystal was friendly and attentive as a server. Highly recommend! read more

Stole my money. Specifically asked whether I wanted delivery or pickup, and I selected delivery. Instead of refusing delivery and letting me know about it, they took my money and insisted I pick it up. Great considering how many shootings I've seen here read more

Some of the nicest people hang out at the Waffle House. They have amazing food I wish they would open more locations out in like Colorado, or Wyoming, or Utah they have 2 in CO and none in the aforementioned states they would make a killing out there. I love grits and raisin toast the waffles are great and hash browns are the best. In a place like Laramie, Wyoming with the university they would own the town! Fyi read more

Walked up to the restaurant at 11:28 with my mother and was told by the security guard we were not allowed to dine in and had to order from the window because the dining room closed at 11:30. There were 15+ people in the building eating their meals. So upset by this interaction. Waffle House is supposed to be open 24/7. read more

Waffle House is always my favorite after a nice night out, and this Waffle House did not disappoint because the employees provide excellent service. In addition, our dinner was prepared and served immediately. The dining experience was quite consistent with other Waffle House locations I had visited. The restaurant was quite clean and organized, so I felt very at ease while eating. Overall, an excellent choice for breakfast or a late-night dinner. Definitely going to visit more often. read more

Waffle house is one of those diners where you can go in order eat and be out in 30 minutes or less ehich is great. The food is always fast and great as i get the all star special. However, this recent visit was not great. Everything was good, people was nice refilled my coffee etc. then they started to talk and kept talking about a coworkers open wound. An open wound when your cooking and handling food?!?!? Also no gloves for that person?!?!? Disgusting. I paid for my meal because that was the right thing to do but i left without finishing because they made me not have an appetite anymore. read more

The bars close, you're hungry, so where do you go? Waffle House, of course! I very rarely cross the ditch to the beach, so I'm not really sure when I'll be back to this particular location, but hubby and I did have a good experience here. It was after 2am and they weren't very busy. I was surprised since it was a weekend and the bars had just closed. The restaurant was clean. We had a great server. She got our order correct and kept our drinks refilled. She was also really friendly. Our food was cooked perfectly. You wouldn't think cooking over-medium eggs would be a difficult thing, but surprisingly enough, I get them all the time with the yellow completely cooked. ICK. I will not eat eggs with the yolk completely cooked. They got my eggs cooked perfectly though. Hubby was extra hungry, so he actually ordered two meals. Maybe that was because he'd been drinking all night? LOL He ordered two of the Texas Lover's BLTs with a double order of hash browns. It must have been good because he devoured it. Next time I find myself over the ditch in the middle of the night, I wouldn't hesitate to return here. read more

Came here at 1:40 am on a Saturday night. Got us our food in three minutes even though they were very busy! Lana is the best waitress!

Absolutely hits after a night out. Everything I need is here. 10/10. Amazing service. Amazing vibes. Hits everytime.

They can go half orders! I had a half order of the sausages egg and cheese hash brown bowl and a pecan waffle. The breakfast bowl was very filling and tasty. The side of sausage gravy was perfect to have on the breakfast bowl. I would order this again. I love the pecan waffles and that is what I order every time I am in a Waffle House. I eat them plain without butter and syrup usually but occasionally I get the peanut butter chips added. They are so so so good. This place is inexpensive dining that is done very well. Not fancy, but really well done and consistent between different waffle houses. read more

Every time we go into Waffle House it's after midnight. The service is awesome. The food is prepared just like we asked. This is the location on Beach Blvd by Jax Beach. What a good experience. I too my 2 boys here for breakfast for the 1st time. They are 12 & 10. We are from NJ where diners are king. They had waffles & bacon. Matt said it was the best waffle he ever had. So good, we came back the next day. Friendly waitress. Great manager named Brian was SUPER CUTE. He was on top of all orders. We were watching as the orders came in. He treated the staff nicely. It was a really nice atmosphere. Wish I could go back tomorrow. Shannon Fahey Bernardsville read more

.@wafflehouse I've now been to this particular location twice and both times came away impressed by what should be the main measuring sticks for any trip to the Atlanta chain: Friendliness & Cleanliness. The location on Beach is immaculate and the staff, both staff and line are always smiling and willing to engage in as much (or little chatter) as the customer wants. Let's face it, Food at the WH is the same every where, the intangibles are what sets this one apart. read more

A Waffle House is a Waffle House is a Waffle House. In Jacksonville Beach THIS is the spot after dark. There are several bars in the general area of Waffle House(great strategic planning) and when they start shutting down at 2 in the morning this place becomes live! Also there are not many places that serve full meals past 10pm, so if you don't get off of work until 10pm, you have a very small selection if you don't feel like cooking. The staff at this particular Waffle House is the friendliest and happiest you'll find. They stay on top of their job! Their manager does a great job as well. PS: Order the cheesy eggs, you can thank me later :) read more

This place really surprised me! My daughters and I decided on breakfast for dinner, and even though the parking lot isn't well lit and is a bit scary, the food and staff were AWESOME. Seriously, the waffle I had was the best, ever! So fluffy and thick - delicious! You seat yourself when you come in, and they serve you super quick. The food comes out fast, and on point. I even added bacon after I received my food and it didn't take them any time at all to whip that up. To top it off, it was only $25 for so much food! Josie was so friendly, we had a great time. Thank you for caring about your job! The only suggestion I would make is to widen the booths a bit, it was a tight fit for us. read more

I mean... it's a Waffle House. Food is alright Cheap This specific Waffle House though, Has more bugs than a forest. I've been here for 20 minutes and I've made 3 different spider friends. Which I don't mind because they keep me company and don't bother me. The health department does mind though. I'm not sure how this place is still open. I've probably been to this waffle house 5 or 6 times, and never before 2AM. I don't think this place is ever very busy outside of that time, but once the bars flip on the lights and kick people out it provides somehwhere else for the crowds to move. A crispy plate of hash browns served with a smile as a last ditch effort to curb the morning's hanger. Excellent people watching, friendly employees, consistent breakfast food, sticky tables and bad jukebox music. Check Check and Check. This Waffle House is a Waffle House. Keep up the good work Wa-ho. read more

Why didn't anyone tell me how good the steak is here?! I found my self here around five in the morning last Sunday. Was I prepping for sunrise Easter service or completing a Saturday night bender? I'll let you decide... Anyways, with 24 hour places you always have some reserve about going to them. Not the case here. I ordered the 11 oz rib eye with eggs, hash browns, and toast. It came out surprisingly quick! Granted, it wasn't a full house when we were there. Maybe it was the cooks playful banter with each other that kept us laughing while we waited? To my delight, the steak was cooked a prefect medium rare, super tender, and well seasoned. After I raved about it the waitress, I was informed that waffle house actually sells the most steaks in America. I haven't googled it to verfiy, but part of me wants to believe. If you find yourself hungry at 5 AM regardless of what circumstances got you there, I highly recommend the ole' Waffle House. read more

First off, this business is NOT closed, so I'm glad to know that I can revive what wasn't dead to begin with. Well, let's get the cons out of the way first as there are so few of them. It's a bit far to drive, but it's incredibly convenient for late night club hopping eats. I can usually expect great service and sucky food except that lovely 3rd shift (late night/early morning) with Amanda - a hilarious & friendly server. Last but not least, you've got the classic diner cleanliness standard - always ask for a glass of hot water (used for tea, from the coffee maker) to sterilize your utensils, and I'd advise to-go cups for drinks. Waffle Houses don't use commercial washers - they use a sink at the server station. Now for the good stuff! For one, I have a love for Waffle House - I practically grew up in one, and I've been known to call my own orders. The best things in general are: you can watch your food as it's being made, you can hear your order when it's called so you know your server is doing her job in a timely fashion, the short order cooks make your food fresh as it's called, the servers AND COOKS epitomize southern hospitality - you'd be hard pressed to find a rude crew. The Texas Bacon Patty Melts are to die for, the bacon is crunchy but not burnt, the eggs are fluffy, and the service is great! All in all, EAT AT WAFFLE HOUSE! If you're a virgin, this location is a great place to build that life-long obsession with grits and hospitality! read more

Waffle House - Amanda, 3rd Shift, Beach Waffle House - Diners Near Me - Jacksonville Beach, Florida

Usually love this location. Not tonight. But I usually come later in the evening. My eggs, bacon, and waffle were served at separate times. And the waffle was raw inside. So they prepared a second one. Also raw. So the cook put it back onto the waffle maker. That must be a sanitation violation. And it came out flat. So I told him I'd pass on that. He seemed shocked. Really? The late night shift and early morning shift here are phenomenal. Friendly and competent. I suggest you visit at those times. read more
