Coffee

The food came out warm and flavorful, the kind of meal that feels familiar and comforting, like home. Simple, satisfying, and made just right. The space was classic fast food--large, open, with plenty of seating and room to relax. What truly stood out was the service: warm, friendly, and genuinely kind. In a place meant for quick meals, it somehow made you feel like you belonged.

Great food. Great service. Omelette was delicious! Would recommend for a good breakfast. Emily was amazing!!

The food was awesome, and the service was ok. Our server was good, but I noticed she was the best one there! We ordered cappuccino & a black coffee, breakfast tacos, and one of the "yoke favorites".

Stopped by the Toasted Yolk Cafe for brunch and it was exactly what we needed and it hit the spot for sure. The restaurant is vibrant and casual. They offer seating inside and outside and there was a good crowd. I'm sure this is a steady location for the locals. Service was great, even with the crowd and our waitress Katherine was a delight and just a joy to be around. I ordered the chicken and waffles and they had a brilliant, unique take on it. The chicken was lightly fried, honey flavor right on it, and slightly spicy. The waffles were Belgian style and cooked perfectly with jalapeño peppers on the inside. Really unique and delicious. A great dish to try here if you're a fan of chicken and waffles. The hash-brown casserole was great as well. Cheesy and hearty, really nice accompaniment with the main dish. The only constructive thing I could say is that the coffee is good, it was not as stellar as everything else. We'll be back and if you haven't tried The Toasted Yolk Cafe, I highly recommend you do.

We decided on this location based on the online wait time compared to the location closer to home. We used the waitlist option and were seated as soon as we arrived. We had inside and outside seating options, choosing inside since the large garage door leading to the outdoor sidewalk patio was open and we could enjoy the fresh air inside. Our server, Katherine, was amazing. She was patient with my husband's change in order, attentive, and friendly when grabbing different items we requested. I love the coffee mugs and that the coffee was hot and steamy. The taste was just okay, but I am really particular about my coffee. I loved my omelette. It was the perfect size and filled with fresh vegetables and feta cheese. The hash brown casserole was creamy, cheesy and delicious. I chose wheat toast instead of the biscuit and it was perfectly buttered and toasted, no need for the extra butter. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles. I tasted a piece of the chicken, which was nicely sweetened with the hot honey. He was happily surprised to really enjoy the cheese and jalapeños added to the waffles. Overall, we had a great later breakfast and look forward to our next visit.

Great way to start the day. Friendly staff, very attentive and their food was delicious. We had the brisket omelette and hot honey chicken biscuit. They were so good that even though it was large portion, we finished our food. Prices were also reasonable.

Had brunch before a movie in this cute diner/cafe. Very welcoming and friendly staff and great service. Enjoyed my iced cold brew latte and the tasty Benedict. Large menus with many options for drinks and food, for breakfast/brunch/lunch.

This place is awesome for a quick brunch. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. She made some bomb recommendations and remained attentive during our meal. Everything was fresh and delicious, some breakfast regulars and unique creations. I would absolutely go back.

This restaurant is located in half the space that was formally whiskey Jax. The renovation is bright, cheerful and clean. If you come around noon, I would recommend getting a lunch and not the breakfast. The Bacon seemed like it had been sitting on the warmer for quite a long time and the potatoes too. The taste was delicious, but just not freshly made to order. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with the quality of the food. I will try it again, but woth so many restaurants in the area for breakfast they need to step up their game. It appeared that many tables were enjoying libations from the full bar. The cocktails definitely looked delicious.

Food and service were on point today! Friday brunch time was not packed at all which made the experience so much more enjoyable.

10 stars! This new spot is what Atlantic Beach has been waiting for! The vibe is on point, comfy diner feel with a sophisticated flare for all ages! As far as seating, there is a lot of space inside and out and I think they can accommodate large parties. But, I would stick to 6 to get seated quickly as that is thier table size. Our waitress Kaylin was on point, checking in on us at the exact right times. I saw all the wait staff being helpful and assisting everyone to get orders out efficiently. No issues and very kind and helpful! Now, let's talk about the food.... 1) The menu has a lot of options that fit into every diet. There is something for everyone. 2) The portion sizes are perfect for the price. 3) and the drinks are very good as well. Both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. This is the perfect new space for brunch in Atlantic Beach/Jax Beach. Get the Churro donuts and the hash brown casserole - they are Fire!! We will be going back- 10/10.

First time at this new spot in Atlantic Beach. We were seated right away and the service was quick! The decor is nice and it's an inviting place. Not a huge place but decent size for breakfast. The drinks were a little pricey ($11 for a mimosa). Food was average price. We really enjoyed the hashbrown casserole- perfect amount of cheese. I got the Big Ben omelette- It's a 4 egg omelette so great size. It had cheese oozing out of it and they did not skimp on the other ingredients. My husband ordered the southern fried Arnold (their versions of egg Benedict)- he said 4.5/5 stars. Said the chicken was good but nothing to write home about. Kids meals are $7-8 and includes a drink although we didn't realize OJ had a $0.99 upcharge until we got the bill. The kids French toast was very tasty and the bowl of fruit that came with one of the kids meals was great size! We enjoyed it and would definitely come back. They also had a flyer saying they do after-hours events so might be another good option at the beach for a private event

Long time visitor, first time reviewer. I know, I know. About time…read more What is there to say about Sub Cultured that hasn't been said already? Everything on the menu is delicious, the staff is wonderful, and they stand up to bigotry in their own backyard. You can't get much better than that. The only drawback (if you can even consider it one) is just figuring out a good time to arrive to avoid a line. Regardless, even if there is one, the staff moves through it quickly and efficiently. As Sub Cultured is a walk-up window, there's some outside tables to sit, as well as the option of sitting in your car for that car-hop action. Otherwise, you're so close to the beach and parks that taking your sandwiches for a picnic isn't a bad idea either. If you can't find parking immediately at Sub Cultured, there's a little shopping center just next door since there doesn't seem to be much for street parking outside of their handful of spots. All of that said, I'm a transplant to Jacksonville via the Navy since 2004. One of the biggest cravings that I have from back home is a real authentic sausage, pepper, and onion grinder. I can't even begin to describe to y'all how great Sub Cultured's is with that spicy Italian sausage and perfectly cooked peppers and onions. Add a little spicy brown mustard and you're all set.

I now know why this place is so popular! The subs were delicious! It's hard to mess up a simple Philly cheesesteak but it's even more difficult to make it really good. The bulgogi sub was a nice spin on a traditional cheesesteak. The fries were just ok but substantive. The first time I placed my order at the window and the second time I called in the order. The wait was reasonable both times. Service was very friendly. I've turned my family on to this place so when they're in town visiting, I know they're gonna stop by!

I was a little incredulous that a former Sailor could run an Asian restaurant with such awesome ramen! Well, now I believe everything I heard. As a former sailor, upon entry I immediately fell in love with the Navy decor, pictures, and even the tables in the dining area had the seals of ships and other commands past and present on the table top art that gave a tremendous nostalgic feel to an old sea warrior like me! OK, I was a Chaps - I gave spiritual support to those warriors. Nevertheless, the ramen bowls here are a work of artistic beauty! I felt like I needed to stare at my meal for an hour before daring to touch it! On this day, we had the Bayou Ramen and the Traditional Ramen. The Bayou Ramen has a real Cajun spicing to it - unmistakable in every way. It has some heat to it, but not heavy - I'd say it was just about right for my taste. The shrimp and sausage in it were perfectly prepped - I could have taken some home but didn't - just couldn't stop eating this! It also included carrots, corn, a seasoned egg, scallions, ramen noodles in chicken bayou broth. If you like ramen of a Cajun variety, you'll love this! The traditional ramen bowl was pretty basic. You could have a choice of broth, but the basic version has little to no heat factor. It comes with roast pork, bok choy, carrots, corn, seasoned eggs, scallions, ramen noodles. I had the leftovers of this ramen bowl the next day and it was outstanding too! In addition, when you come here, you MUST get the fried chicken! It's among the best I've ever tasted. It's definitely bested KFC in my book! Anyone who wants to try a solid ramen restaurant which classic offerings and some creative versions of ramen, must visit Hangar Bay! I will add that the service we received as terrific! For a little while, I felt like I was eating on the mess deck again! I'll surely be back! Recommend: VERY HIGH!

The flavors were nice and everything was prepared well. However, and this may be just my opinion but, if you're going to call your food truck "The Fried Egg" perhaps eggs should be a part of the make up of most of you menu items. Given the current menu options I think a better name for this truck would be "The Fried Egg is a $1 add-on option." I mentioned to the young lady taking my order that it surprised me that, given the name of the truck, I would have to pay an up charge for an egg. She relayed my sentiments to the cook, who may have been the manager or owner. Nevertheless, I ordered the Classic Smash Burger and did ask for the fried egg add-on. The food was prepared really quickly and the burger looked perfect. However, the young lady informed me that unfortunately they only had 4 eggs left and that they all fell and broke on the floor before my burger was ready. So she handed me a $1 bill as a refund. Obviously disappointed (and skeptical of the story) I accepted the refund and went on my way. The short of it is that while I was eggstremly disappointed by the lack of eggs, the burger was quite good and the fries were wonderful. I would have given this experience 4 stars, I can overlook the name thing, but not being able to have any eggs from The Fried Egg food truck left me somewhat disappointed.
