This is the fastest most cohesive Waffle House I've ever stepped foot into . It's like all the women speak to each other politely and work so well together. It was done so fast. The restaurant was chill and calm. Really slam packed full but nobody waiting on anything. Everyone was sweet and polite. It felt like a country American diner from my little town back home. This was our first visit to this Waffle House location, but I can already tell--it won't be our last! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness, especially by Hugo. Noticing my husband's white cane, he immediately went into superhero mode--clearing a table for us, arranging the chairs for easy access, and later returning to check on us with genuine care. Hugo told us he likes to treat his customers like family, and it absolutely shows. As if Hugo's kindness wasn't enough to win us over, the food was perfect. Truly, every waffle, strip of bacon, and cup of coffee I have from this day forward will be measured against this meal. The place was buzzing with energy, packed with people from all walks of life, and every server we saw was courteous and attentive. What touched me most was the atmosphere--diverse, joyful, and full of connection. It actually brought tears to my eyes. Really enjoyed our visit to WH last night! Scrambled eggs were fluffy & light, bacon was perfectly crispy and the double order of hash browns (extra crisp as ordered) were delicious! But what made this experience 5 stars was the service provided! Daesha was a super star - courteous, helpful, attentive - always there when we needed her or anticipating it before we could ask! My apologies for not catching the griddle masters name - but he did a fantastic job with our order & followed up with us making sure we enjoyed everything! I am very fond of Waffle House as a brand but this particular one just wowed us out of the park. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by employees and taken care of until we left. This place was super busy, but very clean. The manager had a very tight rein on the workers as well and it showed because the entire place worked like a well-oiled machine. I know because I had a front row seat, literally, at the front counter. (I normally don't sit there, but this place was so busy, it was the only area available.) KB was our waitress and she was friendly, efficient and a hard worker. I watched her take care of the rest of the counter and the tables to our side and she treated everyone equally with care. At the end of our meal, she even asked if we had any military veterans in our group and when we said yes, we received a military discount. This breakfast was probably the best ever at a WaHo. All 3 of us had the All Star (2 eggs, hash browns or grits, toast, meat, waffle). My husband had the grits - he said it was the best he's had: thick and creamy, and hardly any butter or salt had to be added. Same with the hash browns - crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, just right. All our eggs were cooked perfectly (over medium and a sunny side up). My husband and I both had pecan waffles and those were so full of pecans, it was amazing. I have never had so many pecans before in a waffle like that. Delicious. Now I know why our friend doesn't go to the WaHo by his house and drives out of his way down south to come here. Totally worth the drive. read more

Waffle house always comes through at 4 or 5 a.m. in the morning, when you've been dancing all night and had a few drinks. After leaving the bar, we decided to stop here since it was the only thing open. This location was in Jacksonville, and I would definitely not forget our waitress's name. Dena was amazing and her presence was everything. Spirits and energies are real, and this awesome individual portrayed just that. She had a constant positive way of handling all of her guests that came in. This was definitely one of my most memorable experiences at any Waffle House. Yesterday after watching Dynamite Live at Daily's Place was my first time at any Waffle House since it's only my 2nd time anywhere in the South (first time was Houston and that city is so much like a non-Texan town anyway so barely had anything like this). I absolutely loved the food! It was my first time trying Grits and it's my new craving! Where have Grits been all my life? Lol but anyway, I had an egg and grits bowl, the Texas Toast bacon cheesesteak combo with hashbrowns, and later I had a waffle which was so soft it was like cake, which was excellent since I tend to not like them too crispy. I feel like a lot of the reviews that bash the wait-time for service don't factor in, or don't even realize, that this type of establishment, even if it's a chain, is run on a family-business type informal style, like most small chain or family owned diners are. People become regulars and chat up the wait staff. It's a friendly environment that's laid back and you just gotta get used to it. If you want fast, rapid service, go to a large-chain restaurant or fast food place. I personally enjoyed listening in and joining conversations with patrons and the waitress who helped me, especially since a lot of the patrons we're people who went to the same AEW Dynamite show that I went to at Daily's Place. the waitress and I had great discussions about our backgrounds, and I wasn't judged for being an out-of-towner, especially from California :) With that said, shout out to that waitress, Brandy, who was very nice and welcoming. And shout out to the ladies who were handling the grill because they made excellent food! If I'm in the same region of Jacksonville again, I'm definitely hitting up this Waffle House again. read more

I love how the food tastes exactly the same wherever you go, and it's usually spot on with Waffle House standard and consistency. You know what to expect and you get it. No bells, no whistles, just the WH basics. I landed at this location after a late night out with the girls, and immediately noticed that there were other patrons who's night was clearly way longer than mine from the looks of it-- but, remember we mind our own business at WH! lol! I don't remember who my server was (I never do) but she was kind, quick, and left me with no complaints. I ordered the "All-Star Special" (as I always when I visit) with eggs scrambled with cheese, grits, a waffle, sausage, and I always have them hold the toast (because who needs waffles and toast in one sitting... Sheesh!) -- Oh, and all of that for like, $8! The girls and I enjoyed our late night breakfast and sparked up an hour long, randomly deep conversation with the table behind us.-- Why? I'm the only one in my group that goes hard for Waffle House. When we first made our stop we saw a Waffle House but I was encouraged to keep driving further. So you know what I did? I drove right into Jax, which was 10/15 minutes away and stopped at the first WF I saw. Best decision ever. It seemed as if there were only 2 workers in the store today. 1 cook and 1 server-Miranda. She was absolutely lovely and attentive. It was slow at the time we went, so there weren't a lot of tables. I mention that because at that point servers are usually overbearing or non-existent but she was exceptional. Her honesty and smile was comforting. As for the food, man that girl threw downnnnn. I hope this doesn't seem rude, but usually at the WF I've stopped at there'd be a big momma or big boy in the back cooking it up. But the youngin' really held her own. The waffles were very soft, like "fluberry" if it were picked up and waved around it would definitely jiggly but the flavor was so good. WF ain't serving Belgian waffles. The home fries were alright, I just jazzed it up with ketchup and tobasco sauce. The grits (which Miranda was honest wasn't you know the best this am) was actually quite good. Whatever stirring she or the other misses had to do to finesse the pot worked. Overall I enjoyed the service and the food at this WF. Waffle is great every where you go. I can't remember ever having bad food at any. But there service can make to break it. And here the service is unbelievably good. First the guys here are sweet, cute, and funny. I love seeing men in the kitchen. There's normally about 8 people here and all the guys seem to be doing the cooking. The cook makes excellent food yet seems to have a cloud over his head whenever he gets an order in, the servers are energetic yet if you want to mention anything about your order or cash out, they are on the other side of the building chatting it up with customers. It's home style good southern style diner cooked food. Place isn't always the cleanest and the menus tend to be sticky but hey... It's Waffle House and comfort food for me. It's not gourmet and very inexpensive but it's the best after the club or I'm drunk hangover food and you get the bang for your buck. But hands down still my favorite place to go for waffles. Their breakfast menu is my favorite. Granted I've ordered their lunch foods but at Waffle House breakfasts is the way to go.
