My granddaughter is always mentioning she wants to eat here so my husband and I took her to lunch. I think she was disappointed when she realized there are no chicken strips or nuggets, The food was good and staff friendly. Is it super clean? Not so sure, but we've been to Waffle House before and it didn't kill us! Went here for brunch today. Waitress was very nice. We were freezing at the booth we were in by the window. She said they will turn off the air for us. The food was great but it took awhile for mine to come out. We had a party of 5. Everyone else had pancakes so I guess that was why. Our waitress did have difficulty with people's orders. I think she was new. She was very apologetic and got the situation fixed. Overall the food was great! read more

This was absolutely awful. I have never been to a worse breakfast place. The Waffles were soggy before we even put syrup on. The syrup couldn't even save it. The biscuits and gravy were over and under cooked at the same time. There were flies EVERYWHERE. They were getting funky on the table. It also wasn't very clean. Would be 5 stars but it's COLD!!! I'm not exaggerating in the slightest, this is the coldest restaurant i've ever eaten in, period. I've come 3 times at all different hours and it's always the same. I wore a full sweater today, and long pants and my legs were still popsicles. I bring a thermal mug for my coffee so it won't go cold in 10 minutes, unfortunately that does nothing to keep my eggs from freezing to the plate. I'm a healthy and "naturally-insulated" 40 yr old man; last time I was here, two lovely blue-haired ladies had to leave because they COULDN'T PHYSICALLY STAND THE COLD! I've been on a Waffle House kick lately, it's rather cheap and (most of the time) quick. This location is sometimes really busy, and at other times really slow. The past few times, I've gotten a to-go order. 1 out of the 3 times, they've forgot my bacon and I didn't notice until I was home *insert sad face here*. 2 out of the 3 times, it's taken over 15 min. for me to get my to-go order *insert hangry face here*. Overall it's a good bunch of people that are working when stop in, my food is still hot about time I get it home, and of course rather tasty (especially after a boozy night). The no-brainer meal for me is the All-Star Special. Eggs, Bacon, Smothered Hashbrowns, Wheat Toast, and a Waffle. It's considered their "Best Value". I would have to agree . I enjoy a hearty, deep fried, greasy meal every once in awhile at Waffle House. It's conveniently located near the A.F base, Wright State, and other companies. I went during an afternoon break. I ordered the two egg breakfast, loaded hash browns (onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, chili), sausage patties, toast, and the hot black tea. Everyone was accommodating and hospitable! My meal came out in about 8 minutes. I enjoyed the hash browns very much. The scrambled eggs were tasty! The sausage patties tasted o.k. The hot tea (an orange pekoe) was divine. The restaurant wasn't the cleanest, so I see it as a place to eat some fried breakfast foods! I had a good experience, so I might come back another time. read more

It is what it is, it's not gourmet. The coffee it that, coffee as it was 30 years ago, good, consistent and bottomless! Then the food, it's not changed much either, but then would you want it to, its tasty when you want it to fill you and the hash browns, scattered smothered covered diced and peppered, delicious! This is how food was years ago at diners and gas stations along the interstates. A place where you would sit watching the chefs get the orders shouted to them, no paper trail and yet it arrives on your plate five minutes later, just perfect, so iconically American, tasty and great value. read more

I have not been to a Waffle House in 10+ years and ordered waffle and sausage ~$5.50. I was expecting a good waffle like you get at the self serve waffle machines at hotels - wrong it was not a good, fluffy or big waffle. I was vary disappointed. I would think waffles would be your thing when it is the name of your business. Suggest finding another resturant for waffles. read more

El yucko. The only good thing about this place is the service. We went in around 9 pm on a weeknight and it was empty (I understand why). It was clean, although in need of some serious renovation. My butt hurt after sitting on the uncomfortable non-padded booth seats. I ordered a regular old bacon, eggs, and waffles breakfast. Hard to mess up, right? I can't say that they messed it up per se but I can say that it was not delicious. Eggs and bacon were fine. The waffle was just not good. I actually prefer eggos. No joke. For a Waffle House, this was rather bad. It was pretty dirty inside and our waitress was pretty rude. Not only that, but she wasn't in the "regular" uniform, just in a t-shirt. I thought she was an off-shift employee come to pick something up, or something to that nature. When we were ordering, she corrected us rather rudely. I asked for my eggs to be cooked over easy, and she said, "Um they're called over medium." If I had wanted over medium eggs, I would've specified. When she brought us our food, as soon as she set the plates on the table, she demanded if our food looked okay. Looks can be deceiving in the food business as anyone well knows. I also didn't realize that the milk was $2.25 a glass, at that rate, my wife and I could've bought a gallon and still had change to spare! read more

There's a lot of bad reviews about this place, and they aren't really fair. As a seasoned veteran of this location, I love it. I often crave a late night or early morning waffle. This place hits the spot. It is very consistent. Always friendly service, the restaurant may not sparkle with new chrome, but I have never felt like it was dirty. Never overly busy but usually a handful of people always here. I've had an issue with my food once or twice and they always fix it no questions asked. But even the most elite restaurants have their occasional problems. Though Waffle House may not be "gourmet," I have to say they are my all time favorite waffle. Quite honestly, one of the most atrocious customer-service experiences in all my years on God's green earth. Things started out peachy -- it was busy, given that it is Christmas. Our waitress, whose name I've blocked out of my memory, ensured us we'd be given a discount on our bill due to the wait we endured. Which, was understandable, and is not the reason I'm leaving a one-star-review. First, all our drinks were wrong. All our Coke was diet (we had 4 Coke's total) and the water came without the requested lemon. When fixing this, our waitress took our straws, and then got snappy when we asked for more and our lemon. We had two orders of bacon, and one sausage. We only received one sausage and one bacon. When we asked for the second order of bacon, she snapped, "I literally just gave it to you." And we had to argue for the food we ordered. Another order had the hashbrowns made wrong, which was also confronted and our waitress disregarded it entirely. Then, one plate came out with hair in the food. Our waitress insisted it couldn't possibly be her, or the chef's fault, and the re-made order ALSO had hair. When confronted with this, her only response was to snatch the bill, crumple it, and throw the rest of the bills at us. read more

Came in with three of us. No one acknowledged the fact we had entered the building. All tables were sat, which was fine. We don't mind waiting. A table got up, we waited about 10 minutes to see if anyone would clean it off. They didn't. So we decided to sit down at the dirty table hoping they might notice the that it still had not been touched. Still not acknowledgement. We then heard one of the waitresses complaining about us sitting at a dirty table. How rude do you have to be? All your tables had food, even a simple, "I will be right with you" would have been awesome and made us stay. I'm extremely passive and easy going.... But nothing was said to us. We walked out. I will never return to this Waffle House again. Especially if that's the way you are going to talk about your guests like we weren't right there. I would give less than a star if I could. I have never been treated with so much disrespect in a restaurant. read more

The customer service at this location is warm, friendly and attentive but not overly attentive. I'm here visiting and I will be back everyday until I leave.
