    two plates of breakfast food

Food/Drink: Food wasn't terrible. Waffles were awesome, and bacon was on point! Prices: Very cheap. Parking: Plenty, and private. Bathrooms: Very clean, and smelled good. Plenty of stalls, and urinals. Paper towel and toilet paper were stocked! Atmosphere: Very quiet, tranquil, and chill. Staff/Attendants: She was very pleasant even for 1am and quick to help! All the food was out quick, and accurately!

Went here for brunch today. Waitress was very nice. We were freezing at the booth we were in by the window. She said they will turn off the air for us. The food was great but it took awhile for mine to come out. We had a party of 5. Everyone else had pancakes so I guess that was why. Our waitress did have difficulty with people's orders. I think she was new. She was very apologetic and got the situation fixed. Overall the food was great!

This is the Happiest waffle house I've ever been to all over the country. Your staff is amazing.!!! Jason was my server today -great job!!

Food was amazing! Way too much to eat for breakfast lol. I've never had loaded breakfast hash browns and they did not disappoint!

I've been on a Waffle House kick lately, it's rather cheap and (most of the time) quick. This location is sometimes really busy, and at other times really slow. The past few times, I've gotten a to-go order. 1 out of the 3 times, they've forgot my bacon and I didn't notice until I was home *insert sad face here*. 2 out of the 3 times, it's taken over 15 min. for me to get my to-go order *insert hangry face here*. Overall it's a good bunch of people that are working when stop in, my food is still hot about time I get it home, and of course rather tasty (especially after a boozy night). The no-brainer meal for me is the All-Star Special. Eggs, Bacon, Smothered Hashbrowns, Wheat Toast, and a Waffle. It's considered their "Best Value". I would have to agree . Until next time, Cheers! -C.Rich

Like other TJ's the restaurant/bar has a nice sports bar feel with lots of tv's and the overall feel is fun, but also warm and inviting. The outdoor patio space is great! It's really a nice space to have a dinner and/or beer with friends and the service was fantastic. I had the riblets and substituted onion rings for the fries. The rings tasted great and the server was more than happy to bring extra dipping sauce. The riblets were ok. In the future I'll probably just order normal full ribs or stick with a burger but overall they were pretty good. TJ Chumps is a nice local chain and always a good bet for a good experience.

I ordered pretzels and cheese and a caesar salad with chicken. The chicken was overcooked and tasted of too much smoke flavoring; almost artificial. The dressing tasted way too salty and too much anchovie flavor. I complained and was brought back a plate of croutons and tough romaine lettuce with a container of the offensive dressing on the side. I asked for ranch, which was somewhat more palatable. The pretzels were fine. The service was fine. The restaurant seems in need of a deep cleaning and a new chef.

Will comeback to work here and get some coffee. Started off with some fruit juice the green was good fresh but the other one paradise seems frozen so more like a smoothie. Every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. You could tell it was all made fresh to order, hot, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you're starting a busy Saturday. We all left full and happy, which is always the goal. On top of that, it's just a super cute spot. Great vibe, welcoming atmosphere, and perfect for casual meetings or weekend breakfasts. Safe to say I'll definitely be back.

I have been three times. Came once for the opening, I had the burger, my fiancé had a steak dish and we shared the hummus. The burger was good, but frites were dry and my meal was so greasy. My fiancé didn't love the steak. The hummus was good but served with spiced tortilla chips like Doritos. Would have been much better with pita bread or more veggies. The next time I came with a group of girl friends. We shared several small plates, including the corndog shrimp and the pimento cheese. I also got the Chopped salad for my main. Appetizers were very good, salad was just meh. Third time we came for an early dinner. I got the BBQ Bacon Ranch Salad and fiancé got the burger. Salad was not very good, just an odd mix of flavors. Fiancé said burger was good. They changed the fries but he wasn't impressed with these either. The drinks and wine list are excellent. Would love it if the bar stayed open later Thurs- Saturday and offered more small plates and appetizers. I really hope they figure out the menu and execution because it could be such a great restaurant.

The team here goes above and beyond for its customers, they seem very patient and again, service was just incredible. We couldn't have asked for more. And for all those years, my wife kept saying, "We really should try Sam & Ethel's." Somehow, this was the first time we finally made it happen--and I'm glad we did. We came in for breakfast the day before heading back home. We arrived around 9 a.m., and here's a tip for first‑timers: call ahead to get on the waitlist. You don't need to be present, and it can save you a little time. We thought we were next, but another couple who had called ahead slipped in before us. It felt a bit unfair in the moment, but honestly, good for them--they used the system the way it's meant to be used. Once seated, everything that followed was exactly what a classic hometown breakfast spot should deliver. The menu is full of comforting options--silver dollar or plate‑size pancakes, buckwheat or regular, with or without pecans, all served with hot syrup. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. I ordered the BELT (Bacon, Egg, Lettuce, Tomato) sandwich, which was excellent. They asked if I wanted cheese and offered several options; I chose cheddar, though it didn't end up on the sandwich. Honestly, it was still great without it. I also tried a silver dollar buckwheat pancake with pecans, and it was fantastic--nutty, warm, and just the right amount of indulgent. The coffee was a little weak for my taste, but that was the only small miss. I also sampled some of my wife's breakfast burrito and my mother‑in‑law's toast and hash browns. The hash browns were especially memorable--you could really taste the potatoes, thicker and less fried than what you'd find at a Waffle House. The buttered toast was excellent too, simple but done perfectly. And I have to mention our host, who delivered one of the funniest, most unexpected lines of the morning. She walked up and said, "Can I hit anyone up..." then paused just long enough for me to wonder what was coming next, before finishing with, "...with coffee." I was briefly alarmed, then immediately reassured--and I couldn't help but laugh. It was such a genuine, human moment that added to the charm of the place. Everyone at our table enjoyed their breakfast, and the wait--especially for a Saturday morning--was surprisingly reasonable. My father‑in‑law picked up the check, which was a thoughtful way to end a really pleasant meal. After a decade of visiting Tipp City, I'm glad we finally made it to Sam & Ethel's. It's easy to see why it's a local favorite, and it's definitely earned a spot on our regular rotation from now on.

Well prepared, delicious ingredients to make an incredibly delightful dish. The breakfast skillet was so good. The hashbrowns were perfectly cooked. The sausage gravy was flavorful and delicious. The bacon was crisp and was the perfect flavor addition. My eggs were cooked perfectly (I asked for basted-they were perfect!) Everything was incredible. The biscuits were so good. A little underdone but perhaps the was on purpose? They were really good. My son added pancakes to his order. They looked a little overly done, but tasted good. Portion size was huge. Ambiance was very mom and pop shop---very close quarters. Only one small restroom. Great restaurant with excellent food!!! Just know what you're getting into. Probably not very handicapped accessible due to stairs and small restroom and tight quarters, but delicious food with kind waitstaff. Go for the food, not the ambience.
