We were visiting the Charlotte speed way and craved for breakfast food. We decided to look for Waffle House near by. I was impressed on this WH. This is one of the cleanest Waffle House I have ever been. We ate at the bar too table and I can see the cooking area and the area was clean. The manager, Fatima, was courteous and made sure our table and menu clean and not sticky. Fatima made sure the area around the skillet table clean, and the cook (the guy) sweep the area after they are done with the cooking and I noticed that he changed his gloves after he was done with open the bag of bacon. The food warm and came out at timely manner. Our server , Canoya, was friendly and checked on us made sure we got our drink refill and asked if we need anything. My son went to the bathroom to wash his hands and he said the bathroom was clean. I think the way manage the restaurant showed how their staffs and the restaurant cleanliness show. I know the cook can make the bacon much crispier and they replaced the overcooked egg with a new one so they were careful on how we want our food to our preference. I really recommend this Waffle House and if you are visiting or even live close by then you should visit this establishment. read more

Terrible service, terrible attitude don't eat here! Extremely rude, we were ignored for 30 minutes and got upset when we asked for service.

My best friend and I stopped at the Waffle House in Concord today for breakfast. I can honestly say that I have a new found appreciation for Waffle House and it's workers. We enjoyed our experience. We sat at the bar and observed the cook and waitresses interacting in the kitchen. You can easily see that the experienced staff is invested in developing the new staff to do things the "Waffle House Way"! Amanda is the chef on the one's and two's and our food was delicious, pippng hot and came over quickly. Joshua was training Tamara and he said something that holds true for anyone employed in a customer service capacity- "are you going for speed or for accuracy? We had the pleasure of interacting with Juan and Listra. I actually thought that Listra was the store manager because she looks like a boss. As we were finishing up our breakfast we saw another trainee about to begin her shift and a Corporate Waffle lady was fixing her bow tie and giving her a pep talk! I ordered the All star over medium cheese grits with bacon and a blueberry waffle. Tamara, you did good girl hang in there! Jene is an absolute rockstar, group of six nailed our order no issues. Everything was perfect staff cooked everything flawlessly., customer service is on point. Totally different than the waffle house 3 miles down the road towards the speedway. Not sure if they're owned by the same company, but the owner of this program and how they teach their employees to treat their customers a second to none. Cooking staff and weight staff are on point. My friends and I stopped by this Waffle House around 2 AM after a concert. We purposely chose a location that was out of the way, hoping it would be less crowded--and thankfully, it was. There were only two employees working: a cook and a waitress (a young woman with glasses). The cook was doing an outstanding job managing the grill and keeping up with the orders. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the waitress. Upon being seated, we received our drinks fairly quickly. My friends were served their food in a reasonable time, but I was the last to be served--and all I had ordered was a plain waffle and toast. I received the waffle, but the toast never came. This isn't the first time I've had this issue at Waffle House. For some reason, toast is always "forgotten," which is frustrating considering how simple it is to make. Throughout the visit, our server barely checked on us. She seemed to be having a rough night, which I can empathize with, but when you're working in a setting where the kitchen is visible and everything is out in the open, a basic level of attentiveness and professionalism is expected. She didn't clean tables promptly, leaving the place looking messy even though only a few groups were waiting to be seated. I had to go retrieve my own syrup from a dirty table because it was never brought over. After trying unsuccessfully to get her attention for about 10 minutes, one of my friends went up to remind her about my toast. She apologized, and I watched her put the bread down next to the chef--but she didn't add a ticket or communicate where it was supposed to go. Unsurprisingly, it ended up on someone else's plate. At that point, I was done. What should have been a 15-minute visit turned into a frustrating 30-minute wait. To the waitress working that night: customer service is part of the job. If you're struggling to handle basic responsibilities or receive feedback, this might not be the right role for you. On the other hand, the cook deserves recognition--he was focused, efficient, and clearly trying to hold the place together. read more

This is the cleanest, friendliest Waffle House I have ever been to. Also, nothing is swimming in grease. There is a little grease because everything is cooked on a flat top like usual but it's not like most Waffle Houses I have been to. The staff is so friendly, accommodating and nice...to the customers and to each other. Generally I stay away from Waffle House because it tends to be dirty and not friendly. My husband and I just moved to the Concord area about two months ago and we do not know anyone here, the staff was so friendly and made us feel like family, Barbara, Mandy and Shaikara are so warm and welcoming along with all the other staff, The food is always fantastic and the place is always clean, If you have the chance to visit this place, do so. I just spent an hour of my very busy Saturday at waffle house! The first 10 minutes was spent standing next to the window waiting to be seated, then finally we were seated at the counter at two seats that had been available the entire time! Upon sitting down we waited another 10 minutes for someone to to come over and handed us a menu. We knew what we wanted so when the waitress Terri walked past us for the fourth time after about 10 minutes we stopped Her and asked it we could order. We knew what we wanted so we ordered the All Star breakfast. The food finally came to the table after 26 minutes! That is unacceptable! On the bright side of things the food was good, but the waffle was cold and I had to take it home to heat it up! The food is fine but the service is complete CRAP! I walked in there on Sat., 8/12 at around 1:15pm to place a to-go and if I didn't know any better, I thought I was a ghost. There was 5 employees behind the counter looking at me and continuing doing what they was doing and not minding me at all. I finally had to say, "Can I place an order to-go?" One guy said, "Can someone place a to-go order?" and no one moved. Finally one lady said, "I'll place the order." I said, "Thank you." Trying to stay polite. She didn't even write anything down and I had to pay when the food was finished. I usually like paying before so I can just grab and go. Uhmmmm, yum. This was my 1st waffle house experience & I was not disappointed. We heard the waitress tell the cook to make it extra good since it was our 1st time. I had a breakfast burrito and asked to have the hash browns inside - the waitress told me in all the years she worked there that was the 1st time anyone had asked for that. I felt special. No, it doesn't take much. I also tried the banana split waffle. It has blueberry, strawberry, pecans, banana, apple cinnamon, chocolate chip and whipped cream. I was going to get a plain waffle but when the waitress told me that I couldn't resist. I ended up eating the waffle and took 1/2 the burrito home to have for breakfast the next morning. It heated up well! I did ask for crispy bacon in my burrito but ended up taking it out because it wasn't at all crispy and fatty bacon grosses me out. My friend had biscuits & gravy, said the gravy was a bit to peppery and ended up just eating the biscuit part really. She kinda had a biscuit party for breakfast actually. Had a breakfast biscuit w/ another biscuit. Lets just say her biscuit wants were larger than her biscuit abilities and they didn't all get eaten. The biscuit wasn't that great to me, a little too dry for my liking but the waffle & breakfast burrito were tasty! So glad I was finally able to try a Waffle House! read more

So, I will say, this place lives up to its name in terms of waffles. They probably have the best waffles I have ever had. However, that's probably the only thing I would care to go here for (oh and the cheap pricing). The eggs were wetter than I would like, the hash browns were greasy and the toast was pretty soggy. The only thing I really liked other than the waffles was the bacon. So I would say if you want really good waffles at a cheap price, come here. We were in the area and decided to stop in for a quick breakfast... Everything was just as a Waffle House normally is, but a few things put this one over the top for me... The sanitation grade was recent and a 98.5... Solid and I like it... My boyfriend got the grilled chicken breakfast combo thing (I think it was grits and eggs with a piece of grilled chicken... It's been about two weeks, I should write these sooner...) and that was some of the best grilled chicken I've ever had... It was fabulous... We just left here and this was the longest I ever had to wait to get a table. I have been to several Waffle House locations throughout the area. The system to seat yourself was kind of messy and we had to be on it to make sure we were seated. When we finally got seated the service was ok and the food was good. It took my 18 years to make it to Waffle House, but when I finally did, I was hooked. My personal favorite is the chicken melt, hash browns, chocolate chip waffle, and a glass of sweet tea. One of my high school friends and I go eat, sit, and talk there for hours when I come home from college. The waitresses at this Waffle House are so accommodating and don't bat an eye that we stay so long. They take good care of us and are constantly refilling my tea.. Not to mention, this particular Waffle House is exceptionally clean and safe. I've spent many late nights at this Waffle House and foresee many in the future. read more

We walked in no greeting or anything. Waited close to 10 minutes for a table to be wiped off. Finally sat down. Waited about 4 minutes to be acknowledged then when our waitress came over not a good morning but what y'all drinking. We told her waited about another 3 minutes to get drinks. Then she comes back what you eating today. Never told her name, no greeting or anything. She brings the waffles out 5 minutes before the other food. The toast was burned black couldn't eat it. She sets our check on the table and leaves. When we checked out the lady at the register didn't say 2 words handed me the slip to sign.
