Waffle House is Waffle House. Coming from Los Angeles I had to learn how to order here. First off, just stick to the regular breakfast. No need to get all fancy. They know exactly how to make the breakfast your grandma will throw together in the kitchen. Round sausage, grits, cheese eggs, side of toast. It's prefect. Service at this location is fast. Restaurant is clean, my only complaint, I sat in the corner. It was freezing cold in that spot. Probably right near an air vent. read more

This Waffle House is serving typical friendly service, greets upon entry, and napkin with knife and fork when seated. Simple but standard and what you expect, with attentive service till you leave. I start with this because the other WH I attempted to eat at 2 weeks ago failed miserably. The WH food is also just what I want, comfort breakfast food served hot, fast and efficiently. I love the waffle, and start with it first. A warm disk of crispy edged goodness, topped with butter and syrup. Then the fluffy ham&cheese omelet with hash browns fills me up. Came here on a Sunday morning. Very cute, well lit diner. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff. Ms. Lynette helped us immediately at the counter. We started off with coffee and we both had the large breakfast platter. I can't remember the name of it, but it included a waffle, 2 eggs, bacon or sausage and option of hash brown or grits, and toast. I loved that Ms. Lynette asked how did we liked our bacon cooked. First time in my life where I ordered grits from a restaurant and didn't have to add anything extra, yumm. Waffle was so darn good!!! It honestly doesn't need any syrup! Plus it was the size of the plate, so big and fluffy. Service was so great. I loved that Ms. Lynette and other employees had developed rapport with their frequent patrons. Some employees even knew their patrons usual drinks and meals they order. We absolutely loved the vibe and staff. Thank you for starting our morning off on the right foot! read more

Best waffle house we've been to since the pandemic. Todd isn't the waffle house cook he's the waffle house CHEF!! Those grits amazing, eggs perfect, waffles perfect, everything PERFECT! He's been working and perfecting his technique since '01 and boy has it been working. The server and chef are THE number one duo in this whole area. Wednesday, Thursday I think 1pm-8?? Visiting Brunswick during my mother's funeral. Took my 16yo grandson to the Waffle House on New Jesup Highway because he said that he likes the food. He walked inside to place his order and came back to the car to give me my credit card. He said that the man who waited on him was singing the "Camptown Races" song while he took his order. I thought to myself, this is a known racist song that has always been associated with blackface and mocking of black people. I wanted to go into the restaurant and speak to this person who walked with a limp, but I used it as a teachable moment for all 4 of my grandkids. I schooled them on racial history of the South and restaurants like Waffle House that perpetuate racial discrimination - even while taking your money. I told him that we would not patronize Waffle House anymore. read more

I came to this Waffle House about 5 in the morning. We are here to restore power for the hurricane that came threw. My guys pulled up in buckets trucks there was five of all together. The lady got up from her seat and locked the door so we couldn't come in. When we left we watched another truck pull up and walk in like nothing happened. They told us they were just there to clean up from last night. Meanwhile there were people in there eating. My guys worked all night and just wanted something to eat. I'm giving this waffle house a 1 star rating for the cook. I guess he's the cook...today 10/25 at 1:00pm. Anyways my mom and I decide to have lunch together and were gonna go to this waffle house. We pull up in a spot and see the cook sitting outside smoking (I have no problem with that) he's basically done smoking unless he planned on smoking the filter as well. He decides to look at his watch and then looked to be complaining that he would have to cook. So we decide to leave if he didn't want to cook anyways. Then he starts throwing his hands up and more complaining. Because of him and him alone the waitresses lost money. He needs to check his attitude real fast. He gets paid by the hour and the waitress make money from tips. If he can't keep his mouth shut during his shift so the ladies can make money then he doesn't need to work in the food industry. Because of you sir (whatever your name is) you lost business. Maybe next time use your brain and keep your mouth shut!! read more

Worst waffle house ever!! Server was rude, hovered at table when we clearly told him we weren't ready to order yet. They were not busy yet our food came out in stages and most was already cold. Butter couldn't melt on toast because it was cold and burned. Hash browns cold. No coffee refill, No iced sweet tea made, no sausage gravy!! AND I went to waffle house because I wanted a waffle....... I was finished with the rest of my breakfast and still waiting on waffle. Server brought me this over cooked, hard waffle. I asked for new waffle he said nothing, just snatched the plate. When the cook was trying to get my new waffle out of maker, he had glove only on one hand.
