Stopped here for lunch since Shane's is a favorite BBQ restaurant I enjoy. I always ordered the half chicken. I find the chicken flavorful and tender. My sides were fried okra and coleslaw. Everything was fresh, tasty and quickly served. The staff was friendly and the restaurant clean. My dining g mate ordeted the same except one of his sides were the baked beans. I guess they make you buy your own sauce.. because they don't give you any with your meal. It just sucks because I paid $30 and I can't even enjoy it as much as I should have been able to. They were really friendly and I have to say, Super Fast! The food was good... really good... it's just the one thing.. they did not give me any sauce for my pulled pork. Every other restaurant gives you their sweet stuff or ask you. That was a major let down! I didn't know I had to ask. I would think it's common to give it. Sauce is always given. Stopped by for lunch (happy to see it was still open since it's been quite a while since I was in the area). Not as good as other BBQ joints in the area, but will do in a pinch. I felt like they only had a few side options which was sad for me; but they have some loaded fries options that were mouthwatering (didn't try them). The food was hot, delicious and abundant. The owner, Kirk Loard and his team did a great job this Memorial Day. Ordered the BBQ chicken and it was chopped up chicken breast with bbq sauce on it. None of the food any of my group purchased could have been cooked on a grill. We didn't have the ribs, so maybe that's the exception. The chicken was dry and even with the sauce it was still dry. The sides were unremarkable. Stopped by here for lunch with coworkers, and overall pleased. The staff was very friendly from our arrival to departure. The menu is decent enough with various bbq offerings, and sides. Not sure they really smoke the meats here. But anyways. This time I tried the chicken bbq, with sweet potato fries and baked beans. While I know chicken bbq is not the same as pork, I was hoping for shredded chicken, instead it was chopped chicken. The sauce was sweet, but they offer other sauces if you want something with more spice. Once I shredded the chicken more on my plate, it was better. Loved the sweet potato fries, they were large cuts salted just right. The beans were just ok, smaller bean and sauce was average. But for lunch this did the trick, and with friendly service and good food will likely return. read more

The sweet tea was nice, but hey, your in Georgia, if you can't make sweet tea right, then someone should take their Southern card away. Used to be my No.1 place for BBQ in town, downgraded during this summer BBQ trip, service is really good. I often have the ribs, which is wet, juicy and delicious, sometimes could be a bit more too much sauce on there. Parking sometimes could be bit of difficult as located in small strip mall. read more

3.5 stars. Solid, fatten-you-up barbecue in a convenient fast-casual setup. I got a brisket sandwich with a side of Brunswick stew. The sandwich had nice, tender meat and they have lots of sauce options. I wound up combining two (the sweet and the hot) and it turned out pretty good. The Brunswick stew was a little disappointing. It's basically a thin tomato-based vegetable soup with some pulled pork thrown in. Sadly, I didn't try it other places, so I can't really compare to other spots in the area. Service was fast (order at the counter, it's brought to your table) and there's plenty of seating. I definitely wouldn't object to coming back here, although I would rather go to Willie Jewell's. read more

What happened to Shane's wings? First of all when the wings came out they were sitting in a huge puddle of sauce. My plate looked like a bowl of soup. 2nd, the wings were really really really small. What y'all do kill a baby chicken? 3rd, the were extremely overcooked. They came out in less than 2 minutes. That means they are cooking in batches and letting them sit. I can understand doing this when your busy but there were only 2 tables in the restaurant. That means your cooks are lazy and management is poor. Not fresh & Not good at all. I won't be back. Visited this restaurant based on Google reviews. The owner's mother was one of the few highlights. The food was bland, cold and fried chicken tenders were way overcooked. We visited early in the day and thought the food would have been fresh and hot. This would have been a 2 1/2 star review, but the saving grace was the fabulous peach cobbler. It was the first time we tried this place and we loved it all! Tia was the person behind the counter and she was sooo precious and helpful! She helped us order and showed us some of the things on the menu and boy oh boy I don't eat a lot of cobbler but they have this AMAZING and DELICIOUS peach cobbler...you have to try it. I needed lunch for 9 guys at the shop we were testing at. Shane's had pulled pork and chopped chicken for $11/lb which is very reasonable. I ordered 3 pounds of pork and 1.5 lbs of chicken and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. When I picked it up, the pork and chicken were supplied with two (!) loaves of white sunbeam bread and two containers of bbq sauce (one regular and one spicy). I asked for plates and forks which they happily supplied. As far as the meat, I thought the pork was really good. It was tender and moist with a nice smoky flavor. A little bit of of the spicy bbq sauce was nice, but it didn't need much. I think if I ate it hot at the restaurant I wouldn't have used any. I don't like white meat by default, and I wasn't a fan of the presauced chopped chicken. A few of the guys liked it, but I won't pass judgement since I would never order it myself. Overall, the price was very reasonable for the quality, and it was an easy way to feed a few guys for relatively cheap after picking up chips and drinks at the Publix next door. read more

So delicious! Every single bite we came here after visiting the Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation and it was more than I could have asked for! We had the smoked wings with lemon pepper sauce, and this is the best lemon pepper sauce I have ever experienced. I know my lemon pepper sauce! Also we had the Sunday special bbq pulled pork and two sides and a drink. They have so many appetizing sides to choose from fried okra, Mac n cheese just to name a few. I went with the baked beans and potato salad and I am not at all disappointed. It's nice to mix the Carolina gold sauce and spicy bbq sauce for chicken the pork. Last thing... I ordered slab of rib and 2 sides. Absolutely everything was not good. The ribs was tougher than jerky. The meat was hard, cold and extremely tough. The sauce on the rib was ok. I am beyond shocked they served me that food. All of the food was nasty. The girl on the phone told me that it's good like southern soul bbq. Absolutely not true. I paid $27.70 for their garbage because it was just that nasty. It all should have been trashed before they served that food to any customer. Oh, the 2 sides I asked for mashed potatoes and got some disgusting extremely yellowish green looking potato salad and the Brunswick stew taste nothing like stew. Another thing the meat was so tough that when I tried to break it apart I really had to pull extra super hard to separate a single rib. It sounded like I was ripping cardboard.
