Hospitality was so above and beyond with some really incredible seafood! I came with a larger party, and we had to wait a bit, but this was a recommended spot if we wanted shrimp and I can say it was worth a wait. It was BUMPING! Truly to the place to go on a Saturday night. It was nice being able to have some beers while we waited. We luckily caught a break with weather and opted to sit outside which ended up working well. Our server was SO kind and helpful and when they found out we were all from out of town, he made sure we all had some garlic butter shrimp to start! I went with the buffalo eggs and we split some oysters. The oysters were very fresh, really meaty and no grit! The crackers were a nice touch and the tatar sauce was balanced great with lemon. The buffalo egg was a delicious deep fried hard boil egg tossed in buffalo sauce. Outrageously good buffalo sauce that I'm glad I ended up getting with my shrimp. I went with blackened shrimp with buffalo sauce and coleslaw. The slaw was quite good and a great break from the heat of the buffalo sauce I continued to shove in my face with the extremely tasty shrimps. We were very much convinced to get the key lime pie, and it was easily one of the best I've had and took me all my restraint not to buy a whole pie for breakfast the next day. My experience here was top notch, and the rest of my party LOVED their meals too. Our server was so great and making sure our drinks were filled, chopping it up with us and ensuring we were having the best time. I cannot recommend Mr. Shuck's enough.

I met with a friend here for dinner and she had heard a lot of good things about this place. It's smaller than expected, but they have outdoor seating. We got sat, but asked for a bigger table, which we got. The service was amazing! This one lady, put bibs on us, made sure our drinks were filled, and brought hand washing bowls afterwards. Our server was here and there, but could have been more attentive than the other lady. Food wise, we started with half a dozen of steamed oysters with Mr shucks sauce (tastes like buffalo sauce). I wish it was hotter and fresher bc the "scallop" part wouldn't peel off the shell. We also ordered a snow crab platter and a pound of crawfish, both medium with garlic butter and garlic potatoes. We split it and payed around $50 each. I personally think I could go somewhere else that has a larger variety of seasoning and less butter.

Mr. Shucks just launched their first-ever Sunday brunch, and let me tell you--it was absolutely worth opening the doors for. They're normally closed on Sundays, so this felt extra special. We started with the mimosa flight, which was fun, festive, and perfectly balanced--great flavors and a great way to kick off brunch. For my meal, I ordered the catfish with eggs and potatoes, and it was exactly what I wanted. The catfish was seasoned just right, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were crispy and comforting--hands down the perfect breakfast for me. My husband went with the Crab BLT, and yes... I definitely stole a bite. It was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We also shared the stuffed French toast, which was rich, sweet, and really well done--such a good brunch pick. Overall, the food, vibe, and experience made this brunch a hit. If this was their first Sunday brunch, I can only imagine how good the next ones will be. I hope they keep it going--Brunswick needs this! We'll definitely be back.

While visiting the kiddos, they took us to Mr. Schucks! Between the company, the drinks and the dinner everything was amazing. Would highly recommend thanks for the experience.

3 of us were driving through Georgia and found this seafood restaurant. There was a wait when we got there, about half an hour, and we were seated in 20. It's a Saturday and the line was long, so that's a good sign. The service was friendly but super slow. We were seated at 5 p.m., and the appetizer was served in 10 minutes but didn't get to eat our main meal after 45 minutes later. It's understandable because they're busy. But, that's a very long wait. But the food made up for it. I enjoyed the grilled snapper and garlic shrimp, my friend his grilled whole flounder, and BF his shrimp and crawfish boil, except for the sausage, that tasted like bologna. Portions are pretty good for the price you pay. I loved the corn and coleslaw. Overall, delicious food drowning in butter, enough to clog your arteries in one day. So, don't eat this often. The price is incredibly reasonable.

Usual business trip & this establishment had good reviews for seafood. Arrived at 4pm on my arrival into town. Seated at bar immediately. There were lots of regulars at the bar; which is always a good sign. Ordered shrimp boil, which was seasoned well and loaded with butter! Yum. Service was good and very quick. I'd return if back in the area.

We visited this site last year and had a scrumptious meal with some of the freshest seafood ever! We wanted to stop back by for lunch on Friday only to discover they are now only serving take out and operating as a market. I'm sure the service and ambience remain fine and I'm sure it was still great food but I didn't want to eat in the car so we went somewhere else. Too bad it was a great place.

Attended this past weekend and loved it..... I would give it a 9.5 out of 10 only the time we had to wait outside was my issue. From start to finish was a very good experience. The hostess with the hostess was live and inviting. I am on a scooter so they accommodated me well. I witness the manager redirect one of the servers , corrected and encouraged him all Matthew same time. Food was awesome and I shall return.

Enjoyed the quick trip to Mr. Shucks for lunch and shopping on Wednesday to catch up with my sister friend. That mango lemon drop and large crab legs were delicious . The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we got what we wanted even after my friend placed her order incorrectly. #girltimeisthebest #seafoodlover I will definitely be going back.

Came here for an early dinner after a long drive. Located in a strip mall near the Walmart. There is plenty of parking. The place is not real big, but they made good use of the space and it is decorated nicely. Tables were clean and I was seated quickly. My server was excellent and very helpful. She brought me a shrimp in garlic sauce and I loved it. I will get that next time for sure. I chose fried shrimp and oysters with a cole slaw side. It was good, but very greasy. Batter was light, so that was good. The cole slaw tasted home made. The food came out quickly and the service was great. I will be back when in the area for sure!

Absolutely love this place. We go here every time we run errands in Brunswick. We live in Brantley Co. The service was fantastic as usual. We sat at the bar the place was hopping today! Our bartender/server was Roddy and definitely recommend if sit at bar! I had Shuck's Punch cocktail we had raw oysters with horseradish (so dang good) then husband had Snapper blackened with potatoes and fried okra and hush puppies. I had peel n eat shrimp and I asked to make it as spicy as possible. They never let us down. Ambience was perfect as always. Great music servers are happy and pay attention to details. We unfortunately are moving so we had to go one more time before we leave. Thanks again to Roddy and Mr Shuck's Seafood. Definitely never forget this place.

When you go n a Wednesday with a reservation and still have to wait 20 minutes you know it's good. When the place is packed and they wait out the door you just know. When the kitchen is overwhelmed with in service, mobile orders and take out you may have hit gold. The staff is phenomenal, friendly, energetic and always hopping. Roddy our server was great and always on top of things and the Manager (I assume) Mr.C was always around checking on everyone. The drink specials were great the bartenders really knew their stuff. The complimentary garlic shrimp was just a teaser. For our non seafood person chicken wings and stuffed potatoes were spot on. The three seafood platters we ordered were some of the best I have had second to none. The funnel cake fries dessert just made it that much more of an experience. If you're a seafood lover this is the place to be. Just wish it wasn't 4+hours from Tampa so I could visit more often.

Ask the Community - Mr. Shuck's Seafood

    What is a buffalo egg?

They bread a boiled egg in seasoned flour (just like chicken) and serve it with Shuck sauce.

I have a shell fish allergy - do they fry the fish in separate oils?

I'm fairly certain that they don't. I think they say so on their in-store menu.

Do you have a seafood boil on your menu?

Yes, we have a low country boil on our menu. https://mrshucksseafood.com/

    Do they accept Ebt?

I don't think so. Call them

Because the restaurant is downtown there is plenty of free street parking spaces right outside the door. There is a bar, with bar seating, The other seating consisted of normal table with hard back chairs, and couches that ran down the side of the wall with tables, and hard back chairs on the other side. Overall, the service was adequate, not good, and certainly not great, but good enough not to stop us from enjoying our night out. I started with what was supposed to be a cup of Tomato Bisque but received and paid for a bowl. Somewhat my fault for not realizing that my serving and what I paid for was large and more expensive than the cup I ordered. With that said, I thought the flavor of the bisque served with, Garlic Buttered Crostini, and grated Smoked Gouda was outstanding. The temperature could have been a bit warmer, but again the flavor was sport on. The wife and I split a very large bowl of PEI Mussels. The Mussels were served in a white wine broth with Shallots, Garlic, Roasted Tomatoes, and Bacon. Honestly, I could and did finish the broth off as a soup. There were quite a few Mussels that did not open, but the bowl was so large, we wouldn't have eaten them anyway. The wife's main dish was the Pan Seared Sea Scallops, with peach and bacon risotto, and fresh Spinach. The dish was finished with an amazing Bourbon Peach Brown Butter Reduction. The scallops were large, the Risotto was great, but the brown butter reduction was the absolute star of the dish. For my main dish I had the Curried Lamb Lollipops, served over Cilantro Basmati Rice, and roasted Tomatoes with an excellent curry sauce. The chops were of good size and cooked to perfection. And please don't even get me started on the fired Garlic Butter Paratha which is some of the best bread I have ever had. My mistake was ordering a side of the Peach and Bacon Risotto similar to what was served with the scallop dish. Without the Bourbon Peach Brown Butter Reduction however, the risotto ate a little dry and had little to no peach flavor. I finished my meal with a bourbon , Mascarpone, bread pudding, which was amazing. The dish was loaded with bourbon which both my wife and I agreed was not completely cooked off. Great dish to finish an outstanding meal. Even with a few minor missteps, the overall flavor of the dishes were so good, I still must give it an overall 5.

We were very happy with the service provided to us. The best thing on the menu was the fried pork chop, fried chicken, and mashed potatoes. OK as long as she's had plenty of sauce, but I didn't see the fried ribs they were talking about that I was looking forward to trying. The fried shrimp was popcorn shrimp and wasn't great and they didn't offer fish this night or at least we didn't see it. Most if not all the vegetables were cold and had little flavor. The worst dish by far was the fried Okra. One bite and I was done From the dessert bar I enjoyed the banana pudding and had two helpings. The wife thought the pecan pie was pretty good. She absolutely hated the lemon meringue pie which was grainy in texture an overly sweet. And both of us thought the coconut cream pie was not good at all.
