Great fresh caught shrimp at very reasonable prices. The name of the shrimp boat is even posted daily on the blackboard. I was initially disappointed because most of the fish was frozen. Then a very nice young man offered to filet one of the whole fresh red snappers in the case. OMG - that fish was outstanding. Hubby grilled, layering with herbs, butter and sliced lemons. Boiled the shrimp the next day using liquid crab boil and it was very, very good. I'm going back today to get more shrimp before I leave Brunswick! read more

I just recently ordered/received 5 lbs of shrimp. Ordering and delivering was no issue at all. Shipping was a little less than another company I have ordered from. The other company sent shrimp in a solid block, and I didn't feel I got what I paid for. But, with Poteet I feel we received a bargain. I can't wait to try the shrimp!! Excellent fresh caught Georgia shrimp at a great price. Plus real nice people working inside and always willing to load your heavy cooler into the back of the truck. Several options available if you want head on/off and they have specials sometimes too. You can always find great Wild Georgia shrimp, fish, and freshly shucked oysters at Poteet. They are friendly and are the 'real deal.' If you think that all shrimp are the same, well, they aren't. The cheaper imported versions simply don't have the sweetness and they certainly don't support our local economy. read more
