I mentioned that it was my husband's birthday, and the staff went all out...they brought him a complimentary dessert, sang Happy Birthday, and even put the Mr. Shuck's chain on him for the celebration. I chose the Harris Teeter on Saint Simons because it was a familiar brand. I ended up getting a foot-long sub and had half for dinner that night and then saved the other half for another evening. I randomly was driving around the island and went to the Jekyll Island club, which was absolutely gorgeous. I went back the next day with my leftover sub from the hotel refrigerator and had a picnic under the beautiful several hundred years old white oak trees.
