Interior The most recent owner has done some stuff to make it look more upscale, like faux interior wood flooring. Price / Value / Food I found some very good deals in the meat department. Unlike any of it's predecessors, they have Boar's Head deli meats. They have a hot bar with stuff like fried chicken, fried pork chops, mac & cheese. Apparently the offerings change daily but there's a schedule (ie fried fish on Fridays). Customer Service As usual, the customer service was top notch. The deli attendant made a mistake and sliced nearly 2.5 lbs of turkey instead of a quarter pound (0.25) and one night when I ventured in, someone from the deli had dished up portions of food and priced them without labeling the contents so the staff had no way of knowing if the containers contained sweet potato casserole, mac n cheese or what - but we all gotta give people grace in this day of struggle staffing. Overall I hope these guys stick around. They also own The Market (restaurant and seafood market).

They do raise the buffalo for meat and are trying to make a living doing it. The animals are healthy and well tended. The tours are in huge open air buggies (above the buffalo heads...they are wild animals) where you can hand feed them pellets UP in the buggy! You can buy meat too if you bring a cooler. Just 3 of us, so not enough to take a motorized tour, but Sherri, one of the owners, walked back to the pasture with us, answered our many questions and let us take pictures. Small shop with buffalo meat and buffalo-related gifts, such as tees and cards. Our 11 year old granddaughter was impressed. The ranch can also host birthday parties and group tours, such as school classes.

I was in Jekyll Island for a conference and we had candy at our trait booth. The attendees ate all of the candy the very first day and I needed to run out to the grocery store and buy more. I chose the Harris Teeter on Saint Simons because it was a familiar brand. I ended up getting a foot-long sub and had half for dinner that night and then saved the other half for another evening. I randomly was driving around the island and went to the Jekyll Island club, which was absolutely gorgeous. I went back the next day with my leftover sub from the hotel refrigerator and had a picnic under the beautiful several hundred years old white oak trees. It was such a special moment that I had to take pictures. It was an ideal picnic.

I expressed to it's the only card I have and use. I'm showing you a digital receipt. Anniha kept telling me I didn't use that card or purchase from that store. I expressed that the gentleman behind the counter is the person that helped me to get someone to get someone to dressing room to unlock. She flat out said " I don't care who you say helped you", and we're moving on from the card and receipt I will give you credit on a store card. I finally found paper receipt in my purse and told her I have my receipt as she's handling me the store card with credit. I explained I want it put on my credit card I put with as shown on my paper and digital receipt. With an attitude as nasty as can be she said "I said we've moved on from that. I said no I gave a paper and digital receipt with the tags for these items and the credit all go back on my card. She didn't like it and eventually did put on my card with a great deal of attitude. This store is not worth going to, id rather spend a little more at Target!!

As for the parking, there was mention in rvparky about a homeless camp making a lot of noise. I didn't experience that at all though there were a few gearheads and loud motorcycles making noise until 10pm. After that? Nothing and a quiet night. I had parked against the trees on the side by the garden center and was not disturbed. I would have no problem staying here again as I'm passing south on I-95 but I'd avoid the shopping. Maybe they only take reservations by phone, even though it is 2026, but it should say something to that effect on their website. It was evident they preferred reservations and said they were packed but there were plenty of tables unseated. The table we were seated at, was very wobbly. Which is an annoying thing that is easily fixed. I will say that the bread and the marinated saladswere both very good and our baked potatoes were perfect but that's where it ends. My son got the filet and my husband got the ribeye. They both ordered medium rare but both were well done and chewy. We did not say anything to our waitress or complain bc we are just not those kind people but it was disappointing to say the least. A steak place that has been in business for as long a they have should have perfected their steaks, I got the grilled chicken and when it came, I thought they had brought me fried chicken by mistake. I was expecting a grilled chicken breast (my mistake for assuming) but it was 4 pieces of what appeared to be smoked chicken on the bone. They were pretty tasty but felt like something I would get at a bbq restaurant, not a steak house. Needless to say, we will not be back.
