Roasted beef n goat cheese arugula and grilled salmon

I found this place on Yelp and I'm so glad I did! This place is across from FLETC and next to Sally Cop Shop. The cafe is so so charming, quaint, and cute. It was very homey and cozy and I love their decor. The food was excellent and so was their cookies! We got two salads, I LOVED my grilled salmon on the roasted beets and arugula salad! My friend got the power mix bowl (which has a fire-roasted flavor of the veggies together). We got their cookies on displayed, it was a pecan brown sugar chocolate chips cookies (guessing from the ingredients) and it was just so delicious! Soft, chewy and full of goodness! So glad we found this place and was able to try it!

The white bean chicken chili #1.

By far one of the best kept secrets in the Golden Isles. Tanya and her crew prepare the best and healthiest food in the area. The white bean chicken chili is to die for and the Mexican rice bowl with salmon is scrumptious. I love this place and they are rated 150 in my books. On Tuesday of this week I had the fish sandwich with cheese and it was marvelous!!!!!

    Gluten free Lemon Blueberry Muffin

This is one of the few restaurants I've been to that takes all the pandemic precautions - hand sanitizer, limiting capacity, staff is wearing masks, temperature checks at the door, and social distancing enforced. All the safety for staff and patrons! Aside from being impressed about that, the service was fantastic, and the food was amazing! I came with my small baby and I couldn't quite figure out what to order for him so I requested a piece of pumpernickel toast ($2). I will admit that there was some initial sticker shock when I got the check, but the bread was very pillowy and fresh. Im assuming it was the owner but she came out to make a round through table to check on food, at that time she offered to bring my baby a side of oranges. He's never had them and ended up loving them, so that was very much appreciated. I ordered the power mix bowl with Salmon ($14.50), and it was bomb! The salmon was cooked perfectly, and seemed of fresh/good quality. The bowl was a perfect portion for me too. I also ordered a gluten free lemon blueberry muffin (~$3) for dessert that was served warm, it was the perfect little treat that my son also enjoyed. This was my first time stopping in Brunswick, but I make the drive to South Carolina once a month. This establishment is no where near the highway but I'm glad I sought it out, and I will definitely visit again!

The Grits bowl was huge with a good portion of cheesy grits, bacon, tomatoes topped with eggs over easy and crispy potatoes. It came with a side of toast, but my wife got a biscuit. The smoked salmon plate came with pickled onions, capers and dill over a bed of smoked salmon with cream cheese on a toasted everything bagel. Again it was a very good portion of salmon and very tasty. We ordered coffee and a side of potatoes. Everything was great and plenty of food to leave extra for take home. I would definitely come here for breakfast as it is much better than many other ordinary breakfast joints in the area. Excellent experience.

Interior of the restaurant. Not what you'd expect for an Italian restaurant but it fits the theme of the overall rebranding of the hotel.

We especially loved the shareable feasts. Such a nice touch that they bring out a complimentary shrimp sampler with your drinks while you wait! The service was exceptional. Our servers were friendly, fast, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, including drink refills--they were always one step ahead. The atmosphere was impressive. The restaurant was spotless, beautifully decorated, and the background music created a relaxed vibe. I also loved that kids can draw on the paper tablecloths, and there are TVs at the bar if you're catching a game. It's a fantastic place for lunch, but it would also make a great date night spot. We ordered the blue crabs, shrimp, crawfish, and snow crab, and every single item was cooked to perfection. The flavors were outstanding, and even the sweet tea was perfect--not overly sweet, just right. If you're anywhere near Brunswick, Mr. Shuck's is an absolute must-try. We'll definitely be back!

They dish is offered either dipped in flour or dusted with cornmeal. Since we never had Flounder with cornmeal before we all went in that direction. Compared to scored whole flounder with flour, having it dusted in cornmeal was much lighter then flour without sacrificing the crispiness this dish demands. For sides, the wife ordered battered Potatoes and slaw, I had battered Potatoes and Corn on the Cob, while the daughter went with Fried Okra and slaw. All three of us left, fat, happy and satisfied.

It's definitely more of a small, family-run spot than a trendy restaurant, but that's part of the charm. The service is great and they cook everything fresh. The owner is very friendly but the Pho is unfortunately the worst I've ever had (I've had pho more times than I count across more than 7 different states) and our experience, aside from our interaction with the owner, was subpar. To start, the restaurant itself is very hot, no AC, just fans. The walls and tables were dirty and greasy. Looks like a hole in the wall place, which gave me hope that the pho would taste authentic but I was severely mistaken. Also, because of the no AC they had the doors open which led to flies landing on our food and water as well as being splashed by the pouring rain coming into the restaurant. Our waitress did not pay much attention to us and when asking her the difference between some of the pho options she said "I don't know because there's nothing on the menu that I like" LOL she also complained that the owner was "cheap" when explaining that they don't have an ice machine and she would have to crush up ice in a towel using a hammer. Anyway, my husband and I were willing to overlook all of this if the Pho was worth it. We both got the Pho Bo (beef noodle soup) and he got his spicy. If you've never had authentic pho, you might like it. However, if you've have good Pho before, you will most likely not enjoy this. It was the blandest greasiest broth I had ever had. It didn't even taste like pho. At all the pho restaurants I've ever been to, they provide extra garnishes like lime, jalapeño, bean sprouts etc. We did not get anything other than the limes I asked for my water because they didn't have lemon. They didn't even give us spoons for the broth, I had to ask for them. Both my husband and I ate less than half of our small bowls before we decided to just leave. It's a shame because the owner is incredibly friendly but we will not be returning.
