Scrambled eggs grits and bacon. With a grilled biscuit
    Debra S.

Tucked away in a shopping complex. We took a bike ride over from our rental house next to the golf course. The food is made to order diner style and very good! We will definitely be back again. It's a small place but plenty of tables. We didn't understand the layout of the menu completely and ended up with a $48 (before tip) breakfast for two but could have been avoided. Here are my tips: Ask questions: The menu was a little hard for me to understand the way things were laid out. Basically, all items on the breakfast side is à la cart. Share your sides: Items come in full size or half size. (Not all listed that way on the menu however our waiter was very helpful letting me know they do offer half orders with the items we ordered the full size was plenty to share with 2 people) Tip: Every item in the omelette except the cheese is an extra charge. That is what bumped up our cost by over $12

This is a nice little breakfast place that appears to be frequented primarily by locals. Service was good. I had 2 scrambled eggs and home fries. The eggs were hot and well scrambled. The serving of home fries was large and nicely seasoned. My impression is that the food is not fancy but good basic food that is well made at a good price.

Been coming for years. The #1 breakfast joint on the island. The omelets are top tier. Grateful for the portions, atmosphere, and quality.

Wondering if I can just get away with great food & excellent service for breakfast & call it a day ? We tried their Coffee, Eggs Benedict with breakfast sausage , French toast, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, fried eggs & hash browns. Locals really love this place also.?

Can only give the place 3 stars because our server only came back to the table ONCE. Thank god for the older gentleman bussing tables who was kind enough to get drinks refills for us. As we never saw the server again until it was time for the check. Food was completely worth the 35 minute wait. Will go back again, but will ask for a different server next time.

Step 1: Add your name and group size to the unmanned list. Step 2: Wait (typically 20-25 min wait on the weekend) Step 3: Order ( Menu is pretty much a la carte) Step 4: Enjoy! - Food is phenomenal. Nothing too fancy (no flavored coffee, lattes, or farm-to-table quail eggs), but absolutely everything we ordered was delicious.

Just GO!!! The food was AMAZING. Loved that we found this hole in the wall. Everything is homemade and you can tell it is. My Mom always made chip beef gravy when I was growing up. I have never seen it on a menu before, needless to say I had to order it. I cant rave enough about how delicious everything was.

These aren't your ordinary biscuits either; they have cheese, breakfast sausage, chorizo, and more loaded into this biscuit that adds layers of flavor. (You have the option to get the plain biscuit if you don't want to experience this amazing flavor combo). My partner got a breakfast hotdog. This was more than a gimmick item and absolutely is worth every bite. Both breakfast items came with crispy, well-seasoned tater-tots. Then we get to the Cinnamon Bun. Warm and flakey with delicious filling and sweet icing. They have different flavors available which Im sure are all amazing. The service is fast and super friendly, and I love the booth ambiance. Definitely a must eat location during your visit!!!

My wife had the other special which was grilled cheese and a cup of chicken noodle soup. Both were fantastic! The service was spot on and very friendly as both the folks working (I believe husband & wife) take, cook & deliver your order after ordering at the register. As I mentioned in my earlier review this was the old Chubs which was a breakfast/lunch spot with probably 8-10 Formica style booths. Place is very clean with great service & ample parking. If you're going to the Post Office, Ace Hardware, St Simons Pharmacy etc... time it where you can try Ripper'z.

The seating was plush and comfortable and the tables are spaced far enough apart that you enjoy your own conversation without hearing everyone else's at the same time- a big plus in my book. Our server, Cameron, took the best care of us, answering questions and making suggestions that ensured everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. They offer a happy hour for cocktails and small plates even on Saturday which we all took advantage of! Between the group we sampled a large portion of the menu and the only thing we didn't LOVE was the steak Kushiyaki (skewered grilled meat). The steak was too tough and smoky for our tastes, but every other dish and drink we would absolutely recommend! Some standouts were the Szechuan noodles, the salmon and Hamachi crudo, the tuna tartare and surprisingly? The burger and fries! I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

My wife started with a glass of wine and I had an old-fashioned. The wine was a Zwiegelt and a decent pour which was nice and dry. I enjoyed the old-fashioned which was nicely presented but on regular cubes. We ordered a number of items off the HH menu, including the shaved Brussels sprouts salad, black bean tlacoyos, a short rib torta, and the Dorothy burger and fries. The torta was tasty but small. I'd pass on the tlacoyos but it was fine. We also ordered a fresh salmon belly off the raw bar menu which was my favorite and very tasty and would definitely order again. This was a nice experience and would try again. I'd rate at a 4.4 if Yelp scoring allowed it. Check it out.

We arrived for an early dinner and we're greeted by the hostess and bartender. Everyone was very welcoming and they offered us seating anywhere in the bar area. The server brought us both a very nice portion and we thoroughly enjoyed the salad as it was fresh and very tasty. My wife ordered the Shrimp and Grits which they are known for as being notable and I ordered the Seafood Pot Pie. The shrimp and grits were excellent with a heap of blackened shrimp over a flavorful Gouda course grits. The shrimp were cooked just right. The seafood pot pie had the blue crab bisque as the base and loaded with shrimp, white fish, salmon, and small scallops. It was topped with a puffed pastry square. The pot pie was also an excellent dish that I would definitely recommend. Next time I may come back for the crab bisque as an appetizer. There were some great options which made choosing difficult, but we tried the biscuits and gravy (go ahead - get 2 biscuits!) and the fried chicken and biscuit. Both were great!
