I have gone to this establishment in the past, but mostly in the mornings for breakfast. I went tonight just try it out. I decided to get a double cheeseburger and I asked the young waitress for fries, which she replied they don't have fries but they have hash browns. I asked if the hashbrowns come with the burger? To which She said "yes". So I ordered. When she brought the bill. I was charged $10.56 plus $4 dollars and some change for the hashbrowns. So apparently the hash browns Don't come with the $10.00 after all. What makes me upset is the fact that I like giving tips for good service, and even if the service isn't that great I still give a tip. However; tonight I decided not to as I was charged almost $16.00 dollars for some measly undercooked potatoe strings and $10.50 for a burger which I could've easily gone to Wendy's and got a whole meal for $10. I'm tired of going to places and these young waitresses and / or waiters not listening to what I'm asking and not getting the correct service. And I left there still hungry. Needless to say I probably won't be going back there anytime soon, especially in the evening. It wasn't all bad, the staff was pleasant, and the burger was cooked to satisfactory. But the portions need improvement. Train your employees to be honest and upfront about the menu, rather than just saying what the customer wants to hear and then charge them for add ons after you've done eating. Great food and hospitable service all in one stop. The blueberry muffin waffle is really like that and I suggest trying one if you stop in. The ambiance is really cool and you can't beat the quick service and tasty meal. We had a very nice experience here. We Finally got the kids to a Waffle House while in Florida. We had 2 all stars- the sausage was good, I usually don't care about hashbrowns but these were so good & not boring, I got scattered, covered, & smothered. Waffle is also above avg. tasted resembled a waffle cone taste. One son had a bowl with sausage hash & scrambled with grits on side that were ok after we loaded em with butter. Another kid had biscuits & gravy with a waffle & liked them. B&G looked waaaaaayy too thick for me, it was a solid pile of gravy instead of spreading out. We went here pretty late. The dennys up the street smelled bad and we waited a couple Minutes in the front of the lobby and no one helped us. Super glad we made the choice to come here instead. Waffle houses are always so small, it's pretty easy to be addressed. There was one server and one cook. It was my friends first time to a Waffle House. She couldn't believe how inexpensive everything was and how much food we got. It was all super yummy. Waffle House never seems to fail. Also I've never seen a Waffle House with such a high star review! That's freakin amazing. Says a lot! Our server was good and the cook was friendly. You can tell they have regulars. Yup our guilty pleasure when in the south. Cheesy eggs n raisin toast my fave with bacon. Today I opted for a side of tomatoes. Getting a bit thick around the middle ya know... yes!!! But I ate the bacon!! It's the best! Bf ordered poke chips seasoned, smother and cover taters. Looked good. Our waitress was great. Refills all around and nothing was empty for long. I was asking about the calendars - none and the Xmas mugs- nope. But she had one in her car so I got that one. Nice of her. One year I got a huge white one with Santa on it and gave it to a friend. We eat here every once in a while. They have good food and the prices have gone up on all there products I realize that. We miss Waffle House but this is the first time to have been let dowm. The hash browns were just disappointing. First, the hashbrowns are more like the size of spaghetti chopped in to less than 2" strands compared to shreaded potatoes. It was cooked two layer thick which is very thin. One side was cook to a beautiful golden crisp but the other not at all. The bottom layer just dropped off in random strands. So we thought, Wow! Waffle House changed the hash browns recipe. So they say both sides should be cooked and got a replacement hb order to go. This was just as thin almost a single layer and just unappealing. The service was good and friendly staff. The waffles are still good though. We will still likely visit Waffle House but with some reservation especially with hash browns. read more

Although there was a wait, it was no longer than 5 minutes. I had never been to a Waffle House in my life, but considering the crowds, I could only assume it must be good, or have some other appeal. The crowds were mixed, I found it entertaining that the couple sitting behind me were so mismatched - a Russian mail-order bride and her older husband, who was pushing her to get an education, but she was not having it. My daughter decided on a kids' menu item, and I realized how cheap their items were in comparison with Denny's. I ordered a fiesta omelette, which came with grits and cinnamon raisin toast, and ordered 2 blueberry waffles, not realizing how huge those things were. I thought they'd be the size of the Eggo ones; had I known they were the size of a plate, I would have only ordered one. The food came out fast, service was very friendly and polite (with a Florida twang you never hear in Miami), and the blueberry waffles were made with actual blueberries, they had a strong taste of blueberries and I was saddened that I could not finish them all, as I was stuffed (I didn't eat again until 10 pm!). Gosh those things were great though, LOL. In fact, I am craving some of those blueberry waffles right now, but unfortunately for me, the closest Waffle House is in Fort Lauderdale. read more

- Well Everywhere... Truth be told all of the Wafflhouses I've eaten at were very good. The staff is courteous attentive and the visits are pleasurable... The waffles are the best... The patty sausage as well. They take care to prepare eggs exactly the way you ask and they use Minute Maid orange juice unlike the orange-flavored bug juice that so many breakfast restaurants offer. So why only two(2) stars? Its because of the muselage axlegrease-like slop they give you in place of real butter. Its disgraceful. And unhealthy. Just look at the picture... Chemically it is more akin to automotive grease than butter - which is what I like on my waffle... I wouldn't serve this stuff to a dog ( I have too much regard for dogs; and animals in general) Yet the Wafflehouse management/owners would have you consume this substance just to save a few pennies and yes, make more profit. Serving this is unhealthy and it diminishes the overall value of these establishments - and it doesn't do the employees any good either. Every time I've asked for butter at various Wafflehouses the server agrees that this slop is a poor substitute for real butter and they comment that they CANNOT serve butter - even if one offered to pay a surcharge... That part is unforgivable... Come On Wafflehouse - elevate your franchises to a better place by offering a natural, healthy, and not too much more expensive alternative to the embarrassing substance you force on your loyal, and mostly content patrons... She was very personal able and accommodating. I say this because when she place our order we realized that a change had to be made and Angie had already put the order un. Well instead of charging us for the change not only did she give us the hash browns she took it off our ticket . For breakfast my husband and I had waffles, that we requested to be golden brown. We then shared hash browns, cheese grits, and sausages. Not only did it come out quick but it was piping hot. Oh, and the waffles were golden brown :-). Overall the experience was great! Well to start i tried to call in my order when I left work for me to pick up...31 times...only to be informed that they will not answer the phone. Came in...was asked if I called in my order by Tiffany...some cook said they "won't ever answer the phone". Tiffany eventually took my order...but after a 16 hour day as a paramedic the only thing I wanted to do was get my food and go home. Not spend 25 minutes waiting for it to be ready. Now I get this is waffle house and managent does not care at all about their guests or really their employees but this is just stupid. I know this review will go unread, unnoticed and not replied too...but still...what is the point in offering a call in service if your staff refuses to answer the phone? I'm not even gonna touch on the lack of mask compliance from the staff because I just wanted my food and didn't really care at this point...but I mean...come the fuck on.
