This is my preferred location on Sundays. Its the usual crowd but since they take to-go/pickup orders from a walk up window the inside of the restaurant isn't as packed as some locations are. I was craving an omelet and knew one from the waffle house would be made just right. I asked the lady that was taking my order if she would put it in a to-go plate. She took that as me wanting to place a to-go order and told me Id have to go outside if I wanted my food to go. I didn't. What I was trying to avoid is waiting for the busy staff to get me to-go items when I was ready to go. No biggie. I sat at the counter and had a fun conversation with the employee that was washing the dishes. Its always busy on Sunday so it was nice to have someone being attentive that didn't have to be. The waitress that took my order didn't come back at all to ask me if I wanted more coffee or if my food was fine. When I was ready to go, I asked the one washing the dishes for a to-go plate and to-go coffee. She gave me both and thats why shes the one I tipped. Well. For one. I don't think this is (5) Strips of Bacon aka the Large Bacon. And the rest of my order was perfect. The (3) strips I ordered was perfect. But going forward. Always check your order. I checked it, to make sure all items were present. But they were so busy I didn't even think to open the bacon up & check it because I've never had an issue in the past. But today. Waffle House turned a new leaf. They served me the leftover bacon scraps. It's equivalent to those crunches that use to be free with the beer-battered fish they sold at Captain D's, but they now charge you for it & then claim they don't have any. I came to this establishment on Fulton Industrial Blvd. for a cup of coffee. At first, when I walked in, they said they would be with me in a minute. The restaurant was not busy at all. I don't understand, why servers at Waffle House always act like they're busy when they're not? As I approach the counter, I tell the server that I want a cup of coffee to go, she then tells me that I would have to go outside to place the order as they are not taking to-go orders on the inside of the restaurant which is ridiculous because it's not even a full house and it's 9 o'clock in the morning. I just wanted a cup of coffee anyway. So as the server fixes my cup of coffee she is nodding her head to tell me that she will meet me at the register. As I approach the register she tells me that I need to go outside so that I can pay and put creamer and sugar inside of it. Mind you, it's 30° outside. I'm not going outside to fix a cup of coffee. That's CRAZY! By the time she gives me the coffee it would have started to get cold and the temperature would've kept dropping while I was outside fixing it. Who on Earth would want to fix a hot cup of coffee outside in the freezing cold? I know it's not her fault. But, where is the discernment? She's just doing her job, but what if her job is to also think? Who's looking out for the old cash paying customer must be a thing of the past. I didn't order any food, just coffee. I was not at all satisfied with how I was being treated so I left. This is a management problem. The policies that are being enforced are the WRONG ones. read more

I was in town for a business trip, so our big group stopped in for brunch. There are so many ways to customize hash browns! Loved the variety of plate offerings on the menu, too. My favorites were the waffles, of course - hence the name of the restaurant. So delicious!! Their grits, ham, eggs, and toast were good, too. Devoured everything and the prices were so inexpensive!! Like yes, that is the entire point of me having him. When I told her "yes. He is my service dog." Im driving around the dirty souf and every 2 minutes I see a waffle house! Ok im thinking "whats so great?" well it must be good if there are 285078184905173468902 zillion of them all over the town. So its lunch time again I took somewhat of an early lunch so I was thinking breakfast. I sit down right next to the kitchen. Im not sure if all waffle house's are like this but you actually watch them cook your food which i thought was pretty cool. I order and super deluxe breakfast. I think? Haha i kidna forgot what it was called. Anyway this place kinda reminds me of a dennys but better kinda felt like i was at home when they were making my food. So of course i get a waffle cuz i gotta see what there all about and it did taste pretty amazing. Nice and fluffy with a little crunch just how i like it. The bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection. I wasnt sure whether to get grits or hasbrowns but i was feeling a little under the weather that day and didnt feel like getting crazy since i have never had grits before. The hashbrown were awesome not sure what they put on them. hmmm. Service was great but that would be hard to mess up since there 5ft from me at all times. Okay first off it wasnt crowded or busy. 4 people at the table all on one ticket . I dont recieve the beverage i ask for a coke. Everyone else gets thier reqquested drink but me im given a water. We took two but those 3 were for another table so know their missing food. Sis in law ordered steak and eggs all she gets is a plate of eggs and hashbrowns. Along with a side of hash browns and sausage we didnt order. I'm now told there is no coke. I asked what other sodas they have First thing im told is coke lol I had to suggest Mr Pibb which is what I received. This was my third establishment of the day to which my service was horrible.
