The customer service here needs some work! Yulema at the front counter was rude and just looked miserable. She didn't even greet me when I came in and when I got to the counter to order she said "what do you want" very rudely. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she had some personal issues going on but then I saw her laughing with the cooks in the back so now I know she's just rude. Went in here after work and service wasn't that great. I ordered the plant based steak bowl and they gave me chicken and steak. I didn't realize until I got home so we drove back to correct the simple issue, the cashier Stephanie E got defensive and said she heard me say steak and chicken, (which wouldn't make sense because I've been vegetarian for 5+ years) . They made us pay $2 extra to change there mistake. So. Not bad. My chef didn't blanch the veggies long enough and my carrots were stone cold. That happens in a fast paced place, especially if they dip pre cooked carrots in hot water to reheat them, like they do here. So I brought my bowl up and asked if I could swap out my cold carrots for hot broccoli. Lady at the counter asks if they can pull out the carrots, I say sure. My whole bowl gets tossed angrily in the trash by the chef. Ooookay. Maybe they have to do that if food gets sent back? Maybe they wanted to remake the whole thing so that it would be hot? Maybe he's irritated that the bowl was sent back? All plausible. New bowl comes out quickly, all food is hot. Only one thing, my rice is now brown instead of white. Whatever. I asked for white, but I'm over it and just want to eat. Plus, a whole bowl already got wasted on my behalf and that sucks. I don't like sending food back in the first place and wouldn't have if it hadn't been cold. So the food. It's billed as ribeye, it's very thinly sliced beef, chopped and cooked well done. The rice and vegetables are standard. They give your bowl a quick swirl over of sauce that gives a good amount of the House sauce. There's additional sauce in packets and lemons and green onions if you'd like to add them. It was ok, very similar to flame broiler. Not bad, not great.Squarely ok. Went last week for the first time. I was excited to try it, and for $5, the price was right. I paid the extra dollar for veggies. I was a little disappointed because I was thinking it was just chicken breast, but i had a lot of dark meat. Oh well... I was happy for something. I took a few bites and I got a piece of bone in my bowl. I tried to eat more and I was kinda turned off at that point. Customer service was ok. We didn't get much interaction back when asking questions...I'm giving them a 4 only because our Veggies were almost raw so it did cool down the bowl and would have liked to have answers about the Waba Grill answered by the person taking our order... I googled about the company instead but I would have enjoyed the info from an employee in my neighborhood Waba grill. The meat tasted great and came with a decent portion but for $9.50 I wish that there was less rice vs other items. We had a Waba Plate and a Chicken bowl. The meat was tasty and fresh, the veggies were fresh just not cooked enough. We were excited to get more choices close by... I come here many times and it's been great. I came today with my son to eat. My son loves watching the surfing on the tv but this time there was none. Instead they had Spanish channel on... Hmmm I asked politely if they could put English on... anything so the rest of the guest could understand. Well they did not. I tried Waba grill for the first time and got the salmon bowl. The piece of salmon was tiny, dry and burnt compared to the loaded bowl of rice. I then thought well I'll try it again another time and give it a second chance. Well after the second time I'm sorry but I won't be returning. I ordered a waba bowl with light rice and double meat, however, the meat was dry and burnt; not to mention it was on a mountain of rice. So it seemed like it was a normal amount of rice and meat. But I paid so much more for extra meat that I did not get. Flame broiler is way better. read more
