This place is so stupid. I orderd on uber eats a chicken bowl and specifically wrote it on there twice that i do not want rice and if they could please substitute it for veggies. They didnt bother to call me to atleast say it was either not possible or to even try and fix the situation. Instead they sent it to me with a bunch of rice. I called them to complain and the manager had the nerve to blame me for it and said that it isnt there job to fix it. There is no describing the Waba Steak Bowl for 8.99. It is the worst stuff I've ever eaten. It was barely any steak and all rice, plus dry as a bone. I think they put the teriyaki in and then washed it out of the food. read more

I like the company. But this chain in particular was slow to acknowledge me when I walked to the register (only customer in line). Cashier asked for my order away from POS. I ordered two chicken bowls with vegetables on side. Then took a few minutes to help complete a preexisting order before charging me my total. My order was finished in 5 minutes but my vegetables were in the bowl (not separated per my request) and the employee who handed me my order looked upset. This time .... the air was fine but it stopped there. I got the steak bowl and asked for brown rice. I went to pay and was told, credit cards only, that they didn't have any cash ... It's noontime at a fast food place .. WTH? I got it to go and when I opened the bowl, I had white rice and the "steak" looked like scrapings ... black and hard. Literally disappointed! I drove from Alhambra to this location because it's the closest one and I've been here several other times, however today I went and paid extra for AVOCADO because I love avocado, asked for extra sauce and green onion which I was told was on the counter, ummm negative they didn't have shit stocked up! I then asked if they had more chives, VICKY (without checking) said "no we are all out" .. ??? It's WaBa grill how can you be out of chives? You're known for chives! My family and I brought our food back home to eat and the taste was just different! Not to mention all of our plates had very little servings ?!? This is the first time I go and get treated rudely! If you don't want to work there get another job but don't act stupid with PAYING CUSTOMERS! I'm so annoyed! Thank God they are opening a WaBa grill in Alhambra this summer! so if you want something fast & healthy stop by here. i didn't know what to order since i've never been here. i spent a good 10 minutes debating between the ribs & the chicken. i ordered the chicken with the veggies and it was so much food. i had leftovers for the next day. the chicken is good and even better with that teriyaki sauce they have. the chicken is moist and grilled. prices are cheap too especially for how much food you get! luckily parking here isn't a hassle. i'll be coming more often! read more

The food is amazing . and not to mention I always get lucky to see the most beautiful cashier ever . 5 stars because of Vanessa most sweetest and most adorable cashier at Waba. Her customer service is beyond amazing and I her smile is just something else. She's the only one that looks like she enjoys being there . it can be rush hour but she still has a big smile while she doing her job. She even went out of her way and came out and asked if our food was good and if we needed something. Con's : I went today and Vanessa wasn't a cashier it was some African American. She was the most rudest person ever I asked to change my veggie bowl to a regular bowl and she told me I couldn't because it was already made and I asked for a water cup and she said that only plates and kids meals get water cups! She always looks so bothered. Some of your girls need to learn how to be more joyful. But regardless I'll be coming back just to see Vanessa & eat the amazing food !! read more

OMG! The worst chicken bowl I ever had. If I could, I would give it negative stars. The rice was not done and the chicken had absolutely no taste. Thank god for the Wabba sauce or I would not had any taste to my meal. Fortunately for them, I ordered to go. Even so, I was tempted to return and just drop the leftovers on their floor and thank them for the worst meal I've had in recent memory. Came by to pick up lunch. The girl on the register had neon yellow acrylic long (1.5-2") handling the money/credit cards and then moving to make the food orders WITHOUT washing her hands. At one point she put on one plastic glove but removed it to help other customers with their order. Then when she went back to making the bowls this time she just used her bare hands. What seemed like the manager/owner who was cutting the meat handed her a plastic glove but she waved him off and continued to make the orders. At this point I looked for their grade near their entrance and NOTHING was posted. With this kind of hygiene it's no wonder they have no grade or they're not posting the grade they really got. There was tape where the grade used to hang. Will not be returning. It used to be a lot cleaner just a year ago...it has really gone downhill. Pricey considering the portions they give (used to be more previously for the same price). read more

This is the food 4 less version of what a normal waba grill would be held to. The staff is unfriendly and took 5 minutes to acknowledge our existence for us to place an order. The cashier could not make eye contact with anyone in our group and seemed to be confused on orders as simple as veggie steak bowl. The portions were mediocre at best compared to what I've been served at other waba grills. Almost half the servings! The restrooms were missing toilet paper as well as the trash cans were flipped over and the toilet seat covers were missing as if no one had opened the store and cared to look. This place open I think a few months ago. Good location. Reminds me a lot of flame broiler with their own spin on it. They actually offer salmon and shrimp too which flame broiler does not. Food was okay; lettuce was a bit wilted! The first time I ordered from this location, I ordered extra steak. Got what I thought was extra until I visited the Alhambra location and got a sizeable amount on the side in a cup. Went back another time to Arroyo Pkwy and ordered a plate with extra steak. Got to my office to find a steak and chicken combo. Tried to call but their phone doesn't work. Since I hadn't eaten all day (4:30 p.m.) I ate the side salad and a little of the steak. Drove back with my receipt and explained the situation. The woman quickly said 'well you ate some of it'! I told her the larger issue is the order was wrong; there was clearly no extra steak and I wanted it corrected. She said 'well I'm not giving you a refund'. Who said anything about a refund?!?!? I never asked for a refund!!! They gave me a bowl of rice and precooked, already prepared steak over white rice. And like another patron mentioned 'THEY DIDN'T EVEN WARM IT UP!!! I don't recall 100% but the sauce ingredient label had relatively preservative/chemical free. Veggies were steamed just enough and chicken didn't taste hard at all. Every time we've come in, the girls in front never fail to be rude, almost as if it's a standard there. But today, as soon as I walked in I was genuinely welcomed by a new face (obviously), Nikkie. As soon as I spoke to her about the other girls, Mathew walked by and I explained him the same exact thing. So so so grateful for these two, by far the best service I've received at this location. They were genuinely concerned about the bad reviews and it was obvious they weren't happy about it and wanted to change the bad name associated with their location. Customer service is the definition of these two. Keep up the great work, and I hope you can pass it on to your fellow employees. You guys deserve all of the recognition! (: read more
