I am a big fan of Waba grill I usually eat it every day at work since I work as the first responder and often times we don't get to bring our meals with us to the nature of our work. This waba grill is the WORST when it comes to portions. I came here to this Waba maybe two weeks ago and I got what looked to be like scraps of chicken. With avocado and a drink I paid almost $15. At that price, I expect to get chicken with my rice lol. I asked her if that's the normal amount. She said yes that they have to use 4.5 ounces of chicken, which I already knew. Like I said I go to Waba Grill all over Orange County often and I know what the 4.5 looks like. So I said hey maybe this is just a one time. Well today, I went back. Try to give it a second chance I get the chicken bowl and I felt like I got duped again. So I immediately brought her home and got my scale and I only got 3.8oz!! That's absurd. I even saw the cook taking little chunks of chicken off the bowl before saucing it up. I don't mean to sound dramatic, but I feel like this is a form of robbery. The employee said that the owner is constantly watching him through the cameras, making sure they're not putting too much chicken. I don't know how much truth is to this. Your customers are hard-working people coming in to get a decent meal and that $12-$15 we should be getting the 4.5 that you're saying you're giving us. read more

I'm going to say this is the BEST Waba in the area, and I'm not just saying that because I live within a short driving distance. They usually pack my food to go but this time I was going to eat in. There was a mistake made, and their cook (who I'll call Bianca) realized it and quickly corrected it. This place is almost always clean, or being cleaned, so I really can't stress how good this place is. I go to one, usually, about 7 miles away because it's the one by my old place and I trust them. Ordered take out from this location and everything was fast and efficient. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. I order my plate with no rice, and it was filled with lots of veggies and salad. Ordered a rib eye steak bowl with veggies and no rice. The staff gave me a carrot bowl and few pieces rib eye steak. I also ordered a rib eye steak bowl most of it rice and few pieces of meat. The Thai tea was good but the food felt like a total waste of money. I usually love the WaBa grill portions in the Santa Ana cities they are generous with the food but this one is not. I'm disappointed with today's meal since I had it for gym later. I didn't even finish the food since the veggies weren't cooked properly. Waba Grill 4.93/10 -- Review: today is a sad day Waba Grill next to Orange Outlets forgot to give me my green onions. this location also did not have the two chicken bowl for 15.99 deal this place is usually a solid spot to get some teriyaki rice bowls, but be prepared to get a mountain of rice. like i love rice cuz it's the best thing on planet Earth, but i'm here for the meats yk. the chicken tastes good and the sauce ain't bad, but the meat to rice ratio definitely needs some work. personally i would put more protein rather than just rice cause protein is good for muscle gain . another negative is you gotta always give the green onions!!! if you see this Paul, i still love you but u can't say "yeah, of course" when i ask "hey can i get it with green onions" . i still love you Paul, if u see this (the last slide shows how it's supposed to look). I went in just now for a chicken bowl. The girl is mopping the floor when I enter. She puts the mop down an takes my order. With the same gloves on she started to put the rice in my bowl, I asked your not going to put my order together with the same gloves your were just touching the mop with were you? She states at me and rips off the gloves an throws them in the trash. Then makes the bowl with bare hands. She says your order is ready, I look at it an the chicken was very very small from what I'm used to receiving so I said I paid over $10 for this bowl, is this really the normal amount of chicken for the bowls here normally.
