I am beyond disgusted. I witnessed the owner of the establishment stick her had in her pants and scratch her back side while on the phone. She was just about to touch my food when I asked her to wash her hands. She tried to Gaslight me by saying she was not scratching herself but I had pictures to prove her wrong. Her employee even thanked me for calling her out. Apparently she does things like this often. Please be aware when eating here. So today I visited the store and didn't realize it was only half a mile away from my house because a couple weeks ago I went to the Waba grill on Indian Hill in pomona and it's a mile away... I must say that this particular store on Central was very quick with the order and I ordered for plates because when I went to the one in pomona they Took a little while to get my order up....maybe because they were a bit busier? Happened to be in the area today doing other errands and the quick choice was between Waba and a national burger chain that sells my favorite burger. It has been awhile since I have eaten at Waba. Glad I chose Waba. I might have been their first customer this am. Food was hot, cooked fresh and delicious. Food was prep'd to my exact specs including special requests. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki bowl combo deal with a 5 piece dumpling. Good deal at $11.30 with taxes. Bowl had good weight and was still hot when I ate it after walking a couple blocks to my appt. The female employee was friendly, respectful and happy to provide my special requests. Worst Waba Grill. Supposedly a corporate store but is not run like one. I ordered a Avocado rice bowl with a side of bbq ranch. Apparently they no longer make bbq ranch. (understandable if it doesn't sell) Employees (the ladies) seemed rude. The cooks were nice i asked one for soy sauce because the ladies were in the back....i'm assuming prepping. Convenient location near my work so I honestly come more often than I normally would. I prefer waba over flame broiler because their meat quality is better. The chicken bowl is decent but what really sucks is the beef bowl. I got it for the first time a few weeks ago (posted a pic but never wrote a review) and it legitimately looked like dog food.
