I really like waba grill, I've been here about 5 times since its opened. It used to be crazy busy when it first opened but now it's not as packed. I love the bowls more then the plates. I eat half for lunch n eat the rest for dinner so a bowl will last me a day. I get the beef bowl, the chicken is good but the beef is the best. I add a bit of teriyaki sauce, I need it on my rice and they as onions which is good. Overall it's a good place to go too, it's better then yoshinoya and flame broiler in my opinion and the ladies are really nice. It's casual attire, usually come for lunch and will keep coming back. read more

WaBa Grill - Steak plate - Fast Food Near Me - Downey, California

Good clean teriyaki bowls. The food was not so bad. The portions were average, not too big not too small at reasonable price. I ordered half chicken half beef with veggies bowl and it filled me up! It's kind of small and there's not a lot of seating. I would definitely come back again. read more

Oh my gosh is this food horrible! I should have known right when I walked in. All the employees were just not the most professional. They were messing around with a line full of people. The food was horrible. The chicken had the texture of some other type of animal. The beef had a very rubbery texture too. The veggies tasted like they were smothered in butter. I ended up taking about 4 bites of my food and threw that crap in the trash...eeeeewwwww never again will I step foot in one of these nasty restaurants. It's a matter of time till this place shuts down. Why go here when flame broiler is just 5 minutes away. No thank you. read more

The cashier was courteous, fast, & friendly. I ordered the half-half bowl with steak, chicken, brown rice and avocado. The chicken was tasty and looked terrific. Too bad I can't say the same for the steak...it was unappealing and didn't taste fresh. That's the only reason I am rating them 4 stars instead of 5. read more

My bf seems to be addicted to this place lately loves their chicken bowl! Love that they have brown rice as an option. I dislike their miso soup they could add tofu and green onions, its too plain not worth the purchase. The bowls are a good deal. Place is clean, employees are friendly, and food is a healthier "fast food" option. read more

WaBa Grill - Salmon bowl left, chicken bowl right - Fast Food Near Me - Downey, California

Awsome food. Love their customer service. Great prices and deals. I advice yhis place more than the other waba grill places.

Just because you advertise that you are a healthy food location, isn't an excuse to be disgusting. This place was truly terrible. My first tip is don't come here. I came here with a group of four, two of us ordered the chicken-steak plate for $7.79, and the other two ordered the half and half bowl for $5.99 (same thing as the chicken-steak plate). The plate was a rip-off, the bowl had more food. Too bad I didn't want any more food. The teriyaki beef was absolutely disgusting!!!!! I've tried better dog food. I have no complainants about the chicken but it was ruined by the beef, it was just inedible. I'm a guy that always finishes his food but I could not do this with that disgusting food. To make matters worse the small restaurant was filled with loud Mexican families screaming across the restaurant. Pros: They have free jalapenos. THATS IT. read more

I gotta give them credit for their attempt at healthy food. Problem is that they can't make brown rice to save their lives. Hamster pallets would be the best description. Also, the chicken breast is so dry, that you actually need to dip it in a glass of water to swallow it down. Is it to much to ask for a little flavor? Should fire their executive chef and how one of those kids from master chef junior. Bottom line: Healthy foods does not have to be tasteless. Just ask the Spot in my other review. read more

I always come here because they serve good quality food and since I got surgery I been coming here and they know treat me good, so I definitely recommend this place :) read more

I got a beef and chicken plate... Beef was like Beef jerky. Chicken had no favor. I sometimes would give some place a 2nd or 3rd chance... I will never eat here again. Service was great and food sucked! But, I rate place on food. Service was 4stars food was a ZERO! read more

Quality of food was good. Customer service was good, cashier was nice and friendly.

Wow I tried the chicken veggie bowl and it was amazing. But I went in one day and I was in a hurry. For some reason they took so long to give me my order. I noticed everyone else got their food but me. I told the lady who was giving out the orders that where is my food and she looked and my receipt wasn't even on the chefs view. She then told him to make the chicken bowl. I noticed she put onion on it when I had ordered it without onion. I was so mad that I just told to leave it the was it was. I think customer service has a lot to do with how well the restaurant does. read more

Heard good things about waba grill so I had to try it out since I was out in the area for disneyland. Walked in and was 1st in line. I was ready to order but the ladies in the front were just staring at me. Not one hello or anything. Am i really that ugly? LOL! Next thing you know a spanish couple walks in and they say hello and are you ready to order. I pretty much laughed at how they ignored me. Pretty hard to get me angry so i kept my cool. Ordered a half n half bowl and a shrimp bowl. Food was mediocre at best. All the protein had a bad burnt taste to it. Wish I had a better experience overall. :( read more

I finally had a chance to check this place out. The food was bomb. It taste so clean, very taste. Prices were reasonable, you get what you pay for and the grub was worth it. Best of all service was excellent. The server vanya was very nice and helpful. The cashier Rebecca was super nice. Top notch employees. read more

Went to the Waba Grill for the first time. Thought I would try the Steak and Chicken plate. The steak was cut up like dog food. Just small scraps of meat and the Chicken was good. Now the question is "Would I go back" and I think the answer is only if it was the last place that was open. I sent a message to the management of the Waba Grill however have not received a reply. I think the Yelp is a great tool. I watch Mystery Diner and restaurant steak out on TV. I feel this business might make it but will never do well until the product is much better. The parking is not good at all. I wonder if I will hear from the Waba Grill. read more
