Unfortunately, it wasn't as great as I hoped. My favorite of the night was definitely the Pineapple Crazy Day, a super tasty double IPA with an impressive 8.0% ABV. We got a bit hungry and ordered through the QR reader of Craftz Lounge the focaccia pizza and ribeye-loaded tots. Both were flavorful and definitely on the greasy side -- but in the best way, perfect for pairing with beer. The atmosphere is cool and relaxed. The guy at the register (I wish I remembered his name!) was really nice and knowledgeable about the beers, which made the experience better. Bathrooms are just okay -- they share them with other businesses, so nothing special, but functional. Overall, a fun spot to hang out, grab a bite, and enjoy a few beers.

This has been our favorite Riverside watering hole for quite some time. Had I written a review before tonight I would have given them 5 stars and gushing accolades. Unfortunately, tonight, a skinny, blonde haired, female bartender caused us to walk out without a single drink. The attractive young hostess always remembers us and is quite friendly and attentive. She always greets us with a wave and a smile and looks to the bar to see if there's anything available for us. We love to sit at the bar and watch the bartenders (specially Raven) meticulously crafting exotic and delicious drinks. When we arrived tonight, the bar was pretty full as usual. There was one woman sitting on a stool with a friend occupying a spot next to her that did not have a stool. There was another vacant stool 4 spots to the right. The woman was paying so when they left I had my wife sit on that stool while I went to the restroom. On the way back, I grabbed the vacant stool 4 spots over and brought it to the empty spot next to my wife. The bartender in question promptly told me I couldn't move the stools around because they couldn't have stools jutting out into the path. I proceeded to show her that the stool fit perfectly into the spot and proceeded to sit and order my drink (my wife already had hers). The bartender walked away to have someone make my drink and then came back and told me that now there was an empty spot where the stool had been and I had to move it back. I tried reasoning with her by saying that if I took the stool back there would be an empty spot where I was, so there would be an empty spot anyway. Well, she was adamant, so I decided to just leave (without touching or paying for either drink) before I got more upset than I was already. We enjoy spending a little money on food and drinks for the sake of a little ambiance, but I have a low tolerance for that kind of crap. I'm sure they did not miss the revenue from our visit, but I won't spend our money at a place that doesn't value a repeat customer. I can just as easily come home and pour my own drink, which is what we did (I enjoyed a top shelf whiskey and my wife enjoyed a glass of her favorite wine). It will be a while before we return, and if that same bartender is at the bar, I won't even look for a seat. read more

Riverside is a city with deep citrus roots. W. Wolfskill grows from those roots with "rare citrus" cocktails based on local fruits. I suspect that there's no place else in the world where you can get cocktails based on Gold Nugget mandarin, Calamondin, and Excalibur red lime. And they are good. Non-rare-citrus cocktails to try - "Young Blood" and "Pencillin"So is the ambiance. You are drinking and dining in a last-century packinghouse, although one that is clean and sleek. Retro with hipster sensibilities. Faux correspondence to and from Wolfskill on the walls adds to the effect. (Yes, W. Wolfskill is real, the first commercial citrus grower in SoCal). The clientele is lively, happy, and diverse - twenty-somethings to gray-hairs, suits to clean T-shirts and jeans, tattoos and not.The waitstaff are what you would expect and would want on such a venue: chatty and knowledgeable, and there when you need them (but not in your face).The food. I'm not much of a cocktail drinker, so its the food that makes or breaks a place. The version of the Waldorf salad is as good as it gets: tasty, lovely presentation, just the right amount of dressing. Shake and Bake is hockey-puck-shaped duck confit cakes with a marvelous crunchy coating. Those plus the Waldorf make a good light meal. Skip the Pickled Duck Eggs.Right now, the baby steps are good ones. It would be VERY hard to expect more. Therefore, a rating of five. I'll be back to re-review soon. read more

This is a pretty cool place that offers quit a bit. I liked their large selection of drinks and appetizers. We came after a show and it was a nice lounge like atmosphere. Everyone was really relaxed and chill. I am so thankful they do not play loud annoying music like most places in Riverside tend to do. My friends and I could actually talk and have a good time. Some of the drinks are very strong so be prepared to have a good time! The photobooth they have in the corner is also a really nice touch! I like the decoration of the bar and how it is so different from what you normally see in Riverside. I would normally expect to see the decor somewhere like LA or Hollywood. They are trying really hard to be trendy and cool but come off as arrogant and stale. The drinks are o.k. if you like your drinks overfilled with crushed ice. if I wanted a slurpy I would go to 7/11. The penicillin was the best of drinks I tasted. Do not go there if you are hungry because the menu is lacking and they are even worse at trying to sell you on the items. I felt that was trapped in a bad episode of Mad Men or something. read more

Wow, just wow. Had a visit late one night with my boyfriend just planning to have a post-date night drink. One turned into a complete night of great laughs and time with the staff who were all so funny! During my last visit, the bartender asked for my ID and then accused me of presenting a fake ID. After that, she refused to serve me because she said I was giving her "attitude." The entire interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and unprofessional. I've also noticed bartenders drinking while working, and during this particular visit, it seemed like the bartender was more focused on hanging out with friends than serving customers. If employees are going to drink while on the job, it shouldn't interfere with how customers are treated or how professionally situations are handled. It's disappointing because this has been one of my go-to spots after work for the last couple of years. I've always enjoyed coming here, especially the golf course, but this experience definitely changed my impression of the bar. I'm assuming they have live bands that play here on certain days. The music video that was played was techno, which probably didn't match the vibe. It's summer so they should play some island reggae or chill country songs IMO. It's still nice with music regardless the genre. They have plenty of tables and seating styles scattered around and they have the grassy area in front of the stage. I suppose you can take a picnic mat or blanket out there to sit. Overall, this is a decent spot that's great for groups because there's a variety of food vendors to choose from. Note: it's summer and there were mosquitos - wear bug repellent and sunscreen. There's no breeze coming through here. I'd love to come back and try the other businesses here.
