Our hot water Heater went out over the Easter Weekend that left us high and dry. We contacted Niko over at Vuksani Service Group on Sunday, was contacted shortly there after and we discussed the details of the Job and the model of the replacement water heater wanted. We set up an appointment for early Monday morning and Niko was there promptly and even made arrangement to arrive earlier than we first agreed upon. The job was completed within a few hours and the water heater was fired up without issue. Their crew was professional and respectful and after only a few hours, we had a new water heater installed. My water heater was 25 years old so when we saw water coming out of the bottom I knew we needed a new one . Guess where I looked ? Yelp of course ! I called to request a boiler maintenance. After a couple calls no one called back. I was told it was not a priority. When I finally got an appointment, I got no notification to confirm appointment. On the day of appointment, no one showed up. No one called. I called four times and waited for 3 hours. When you call, all you get is an answering service. If you don't get a call back, they don't want you as a customer. Update: I finally got a call as I wrote this post. But then I was told maybe I'll get someone in the afternoon. It did take a bit of nudging via text (+19175872574) but once we agreed on a price, date, and time they followed through and came at 10:20 for a 10am-noon window. The guys were polite, professional, and clean (minimal clean-up afterward). Erik took his time to explain how the leaks came about and some best practices. Note: - Our unbranded leaking bathroom faucet had a corroded cartridge and it was too much effort/time to find the exact replacement part. I called Vuksani for an urgent repair of a pipe leading to an outdoor garden spigot. Martin called me back promptly, and asked for some photos of the pipe and area where the leak was. He quickly identified the issue over the phone and scheduled to come the next morning to do the repair. They were on time, very professional and showed me the issue and quickly did the repair. I couldn't be happier with these guys. The Super of my building banged on my door at 9AM Friday to tell me that there was a leak into the apartment below us. Hired Vuksani to fix our shower which was leaking into the apartment below us (UES Co-op). I contacted their office on a Sunday and received a call back within a few hours to talk through the problem and schedule a visit with their technicians. They were happy to provide a COI to building management. A pair of exceedingly polite young men showed up promptly at 9am Monday morning, as promised. They quickly diagnosed the problem (a leaking pipe in the wall), repaired it, and closed everything back up in about an hour. Big shout-out to Jake and his partner for the excellent work. The back office contacted me later that day for payment which was at a very fair price. And to our downstairs neighbors: In five years of coexistence we have never exchanged an unkind word. I bought a Toto Washlet bidet seat for the toilet in our apartment, but when I tried to install it I realized that the toilet was too close to the wall to allow me to install the bidet's junction valve to the water supply hose. I called Vuksani and Erik arrived promptly the next day. He ended up needing to move and re-caulk the entire toilet to install the seat due to the aforementioned tight space. He did an excellent job and worked very quickly. He spent a significant amount of time figuring out a way to install an additional adapter so that I could easily uninstall the bidet when I eventually move, rather than having to pay a plumber to move the entire toilet again. He also explained exactly how to uninstall it and even offered to leave a set of pliers in case I didn't have a pair. I really appreciated his extra effort in the name of saving me money and headaches in the future. The price seemed reasonable to me for the amount of time, effort, and knowledge involved. (I've never called a plumber before, and called Vuksani just based on their rating, so take this with a grain of salt if you're hunting for the best rates).
