Id ignore any recent negative reviews. Im a very critical and anal person. Kris is the same way and he will not leave the job done unless it's done right. That's something you can tell about him pretty quickly. Kris if you're reading - thanks for the great job on both filters. read more

They could respond when someone requests an estimate for work. Why do they put themselves on this app if they don't want to respond?

Very satisfied with the work done. He is very professional, helpful and kind. Job was done fast and not messy at all.

Hired this company / Chris twice for toilet repair stuff. Good guy. Knows his stuff. Would recommend.

They responded quickly online and I had a conversation with Rudi. I didn't have any photos but I described the problem and it seemed to be a simple replacement of a corroded pipe under the bathroom sink. We agreed on a price and time when he would show up. He was on time and was able to change out the corroded metal pipe to a PVC pipe. Everything was very professionally done. Very happy to have found them. I'm sure I will use them again in future. read more

Kristian was an amazing help and very affordable. He explained everything as he was doing it and I feel a lot more knowledgeable about my boiler now. He did a really great job and made sure that the boiler worked properly before he left. So all in all, five star service! Highly recommend him read more

Had get my leaky water heater replaced. Reached out on Yelp to a few places and found Kris with great reviews and the best price. He scheduled me in and came exactly on time and replaced the water heater within an hour. Also had him come another time to service my boiler that needed some old valves replaced, which he took care of with ease. Great workmanship. read more

Good assistance with helping repair the radiator valve! He came quickly to assist with the leaky valve and replaced it immediately.

Do not use Kristian A., he did a service and decided that he would not close our pipe with a cap, but instead closed it off with a trash bag. My basement got flooded,. We had to pay more just to get it truly repaired by a plumber. For future reference be sure to watch the work this person does on your home if you decide to hire them. read more

Chris helped me out QUICK, FAST, and in a HURRY! I was experiencing a water leak coming from my water heater that turned into another leak created from one of the valve's due to the pipes being so out-dated. The leak was to heavy and needed to be fixed immediately. I gave chris a call and he stopped by and evaluated my problem. He was able to diagnose and give me suggestions as to what my options were. I trusted his judgement and continued the job with him. I'm about 15-20 mins he had fixed my pipes and stopped the leak. I was amazed and grateful. I was able to use my water and heat my house again. Thankful for people like him. Thanks Chris‼ read more

If you need a plumber, look no further - MKC Plumbing is now my go-to service! Boiler kept turning off and my usual plumber was unavailable. With the cold weather, this kind of thing needed immediate tending to - my tenants were patient but it was getting colder. I had read the reviews for MKC and secretly thought - there's no way this guy's rating is legit. It's way too high - he's getting family members to write his good reviews! Until I reached out and Kris got back to me. He came by a couple of hours later, diagnosed the issue, and gave me the news - it's not a readily available part, which could be found soon or in a couple of days at the outset. Guess what he did - he went out of his way and found it. Here's the best part: he took Before pictures and video to show me what the issue was. And then when the repairs were done, sent After pictures and video - with commentary! There is a reason why his rating is high - Kris and his team have earned it. I have worked with several plumbers in the past - but Kris is now my Favorite. read more

Chris was fantastic! I needed my boiler repaired and just by looking at a photo, he was able to diagnose the problem. He was very responsive and arrived when he said he would. some confusion over appointment time, but solved my issues on time and on quoted price

I never had any repairs done on the same day that I called for an appointment. Kris was the first one -- and let me tell you, my problem was no easy fix. It was a leak inside the wall. Kris had to knocked out a portion of the wall to find the problem pipe. He found it and was able to replace the pipe that had a hole in it - all on the same day I called for an appointment! While we did have to call another contractor to repair the wall, Kris was able to fix the leaking problem before it got worse. He told us what the cost would be before starting the job. Besides being a professional plumber, Kris has a great personality. If you are lucky enough to live within his service area, you should call him. I'm very glad I did -- oh, he also replaced my toilet which had permanent stain and cannot be cleaned -- on the same day! Enough said. read more

Chris was very good fast clean and very reasonable. He came on a Sunday when it wasn't a emergency

The technician responded quickly. He came and assessed the problem. He didn't try to nickel and dime me and fixed it. I am so grateful.

Great service. Got a respond quick, explained the issue and through the phone he gave me the issue. Arrived on time and got rid of the problem in a clean way. Was very nice and helpful! Totally give him a call read more

I needed a delta shower cartridge changed and MKC handled it the same day. Took care of everything promptly and professionally. Yes, I could have done it myself but I did not want to go out get the piece and then worry about twisting too hard and causing a flood. MKC replaced the cartridge and I am happy. Definitely recommend them. read more

He arrived quickly on a Saturday with short notice and did an incredible job at a reasonable price. He's a great guy. I would definitely hire him again. read more

Kris is Awesome. Knew what he was talking about. No fluff. Definitely my go to guy in the world of boilers moving forward.

A bathtub that didn't drain properly prompted me to contact MKC late at night, they quickly responded to ask for my phone number, and someone reached out to me around 9 AM the following day. The guy quoted me and will come by before noon. Upon diagnosis, he said the clog came from kitchen sink and will charge $20 more, so I agreed. He started to do his thing and within five minutes, our problem was solved. The bathtub drained perfectly! Side note: the guy did not wear face mask and shoe covers. read more

We had a broken water heater pressure valve. It was leaking for several days. MKC responded very promptly to the service request. Chris provided initial diagnosis after I showed him the picture. He came over early next morning. He explained very clearly what went wrong and replaced the broken parts quickly. It was properly fixed. Chris is friendly, repliable and professional. Great value as well. Strongly recommended. read more

I contacted Chris for my boiler maintenance service based on the great yelp reviews. My boiler is 2 years old. Chris asked me to send a pic of the boiler and then asked me some questions. At the end, he said and I quoted, "To be honest, you don't really need it" I said "What? What do you mean?" He said that my boiler is new and it really doesn't need to have any maintenance work done. He can easily make a couple hundred dollars off someone who knows nothing about boiler. Wow! I know exactly who I'm going to call when I need plumbing or heating service next time. The honesty is so rare and so much appreciated! Thank you so much Chris!! read more

This is the second time using MKC. Chris called to verify my issue and told me what time he would be there, he was on time and explained to me what needed to be done and the price. He worked quickly and did the job well. Has all the tools and parts he needed. I definitely recommend using MKC and will reach out to them again should I have any plumbing needs. read more

Very reliable, professional service, call me right after he found out the cause of no heat. Come back next day to make sure all worked fine.

Reliable, professional and honest. Rare in todays day and age but Chris embodies these qualities and has been amazing for us since day one. Whenever the unfortunate need arises we feel confident and comfortable knowing we have a great knowledgable plumber. Extremely helpful and informative. Avoid the stress and terrible experience of dealing with the big name companies (see my roto rooter review on google) MKC Plumbing is the way to go. read more

Chris is a wonderful, hard working guy. Very professional, confident in doing his job, very reliable and pleasant personality, too. Came to help us out with toilet issues and showed up on a very short notice, eager to do the work. Solved the problem in a fast and efficient manner! JOB WELL DONE! Ten stars! I highly recommend his services and will definitely call him again if needed. Grazie Mille, Chris! Tanti auguri, CIAO, Nella:) read more

Incredibly kind and friendly. Extremely honest--they pointed out an issue with the caulking in the bathroom and guided us towards taking care of that, rather than pay for plumbing services that were not necessary. We are so appreciative and will definitely be calling upon them again!! read more

Prompt, polite and efficient. Fair rates and quality work. Our go to plumber from now on.

I'm always afraid to add yet another glowingly positive recommendation about someone like Kris and MKC Plumbing out of fear that the next time I need this superstar heating repair person and company, they'll be too busy and too expensive to help me out. But, alas, EVERYTHING prior Yelpers said was 110% true! Kris was the first of 5 companies (which Yelp's messaging automatically contacted for me, but he was the one I really wanted) to respond, and did so within 5 minutes of my initial message. Kris followed up with a phone call asking for the important details, asking about quick fixes that might have solved the problem, shared his extremely reasonable fees given what he thought the problem could be, and then said "I'm putting it in my GPS now and I'll be there in... 20 minutes." Kris, of course, arrived early. He then asked if he could park in the driveway after seeing no street parking (that's the kind of courtesy money can't buy). He wore his mask and kept his social distance. He evaluated the boiler (even though the rest of the house was warm) and then got to quickly repairing the broken valve on the one 2nd floor bedroom that wasn't working. Within a few minutes, he fixed the problem, cleaned the area as if he had never been there, and was done. He shared an observation about a higher-than-normal pressure coming out of my boiler, but then said that it was huge job that I DIDN'T need to have done since things have been generally working fine for years. YES! A repair professional that is only looking to solve what needs to be fixed, and is interested in doing so quickly, and affordably. Kris gave me several options for virtual payment since I didn't have cash on hand, and then left. He trusted me to pay him in full and quickly after the job was done without hovering over me to make sure I did so instantly. He sent an itemized invoice as an e-mail. Time of first Yelp message: 10:28am. Time repair done: 11:18am. LESS THAN AN HOUR on a day when NYC is enjoying a sunny 30 degree day and we've got little ones at home. Thank you so much, Kris/MKC Plumbing & Heating! I'll definitely be contacting Kris for anything I need help with in the future that involves his expertise. read more

Kris is not only a wonderful plumber but a great guy. He's responsive, understanding and efficient. Kris is someone I call without hesitation, I know he will respond quickly and has helped me in more than one emergency. If you want something done right, he's the one you need! Thanks for everything, Kris!! read more

Chris was very professional and helpful. On my first call with him, he didn't upsell me or force to come over to charge me for an eval fee. Instead, he listened to my problem, did a quick diagnosis over the phone, and asked me to try re-caulking my bathtub. No upselling, all honest, reasonable, and professional suggestions. Unfortunately, the ceiling was still leaking after the re-caulking, and he eventually had to come take a look. Turns out it was a leaky toilet. At a very reasonable price, he fixed the leak despite having to deal with all our feces and urine all over the floor. Never once did he complain. Chris is a plumber I can trust, and I won't hesitate to call him if I ever have any water or pipe issues in the future. read more

Last night, while watching a movie with my wife, I heard water leaking from somewhere. After investigating, I found water leaking from the circulator pump. I called a few places, but none got back to me. This morning I called those same companies, thinking someone would answer during the day. Nope, no such luck. I yelped plumbers and MKC stuck out somehow. I called at around 11:30am, by 12:30, a tech arrived, listened to my tale of woe, then promptly went about fixing the problem. Rudy, the tech is knowledgeable, professional, and a nice guy. He bled all of the baseboards, didn't make much of a mess, and if he did, he cleaned up really well. Oh, and he didn't try to upcharge or add anything extra. Always a plus. If/when the heating system finally goes, these guys are on the top of the short list to do the work. read more

Kris came over with a quick response and was able to fix my leaky faucet right away. The service was speedy and would definitely call again for plumbing issues. The speedy response was the most important factor as I tried fixing it myself and ended up making it unusable. I either had to spend more money on buying dinner for my family or just spending it to get the faucet fixed and eating a delicious home cooked meal. I obviously chose the latter read more

It was Saturday afternoon, I knew i was going to have a hard time finding a plumber. It wasn't a huge job (although to me it was), and typically the smaller jobs don't seem to get much attention from some of the bigger guys. I called Kris, he answered, and said he could come Sunday morning at 10:00am. I thought he might just come by on Sunday and diagnose or schedule a time to come back...Nope, he spent a few hours and fixed everything to perfection. I can happily recommend MKC Plumbing, in fact I won't use anyone else again. read more
