Mauricio is one of a slew of plumbers who don't seem to listen to women. We had high hopes because he was really nice and seemed knowledgeable. He quoted my mom a few hundred for a shower fix and $150 for a valve fix, if we got them fixed together (no extra service call). When he came to do the estimate, my mom mentioned multiple times that the shower pipe on the wall was active and NOT just decorative. Mauricio nevertheless came with a part that assumed the pipe was decorative & the real water pipes were behind the wall. As a result, it didn't fit, and he couldn't do the fix. (It was lucky she had hung around to observe because he was marking up the shower pipe to destructively remove. When she said AGAIN that the pipe was an active one, he still didn't believe her and did some extra checks before conceding she was right & did know a thing or two about this house she literally designed and built herself.) The kicker is really that, now that he could no longer do 2 jobs at once (which was HIS fault for not listening and bringing the right part), he had the audacity to charge us an additional $100 service call fee for the valve fix. Mauricio Barrios (Silent Plumbing) is a fraud! DO NOT BOOK him! I hired him to do a job for my elderly mother to fix a clog in her kitchen sink. Every time he attempted to fix the clog another issue occured in the house, the basement kitchen now had issues. He then told me it was something wrong with the trap and couldn't find a line, dug up all this dirt in the boiler room looking for it. I called my ederly father to explain to the plumber Mauricio were to find what he was looking for, just to find out he was in the wrong location! Mauricio proceeded to tell my dad he couldnt fix the issue and my dad told him to refund the money we paid him and he hung up the phone packed up all his tool and left my mother's house a MESS!! I made several attemps to him to refund the money and of course he never returned my calls! he is a crook! please be aware and I don't believe he is licensed! read more

Well, after requesting in yelp a few reach out at the same time but the one plumber that saw my address thought I was far and apologize for not able to service me and then with concern sent me a tip in which I felt that was really kind.
