I am writing this review because I am truly to have called Joe today. For a couple of months, I…read morehave been having cold water issues with my shower , it just have not been working. So, my husband and I have been taking very quick showers because the water was so hot. I have an American Standard single arm shower (no faucet). I purchased two pressure balances and two cartridges. I am so glad I did. After installing the first set, there was not water come out of my shower head. After several attempts to get the water running and a call to the plumbing supply store where I purchased the cartridges from (the guy there help to troubleshoot but it didn't work), I called Mr. Plumber. I am so very happy I did. Joe heard my story, suggested a few steps to me, gave me his cell phone number all because had faith I can get the job done (I appreciated that ) and I did. I could not have done it without him!

After a mis-communication by the office, a plumber came to replace my steam valve. He needed to…read moreremove the PTAC to do this, and got a colleague to come over. He also noticed (and the super told him) the steam trap needed to be replaced. Pleasant, efficient. All done in one day even though he had to go out to get a part. Two things: the office should tell you they charge extra for credit card but no fee for debit. Other is they should ask customer to send a photo so they can see if they need another person before they come out.

We hired A Real Good Plumber (Paul Shay) in July 2026 under a signed $4,000 contract to restore gas…read moreservice to our three-family building in the Bronx - a building sitting without gas, with tenants displaced. The signed contract required a $2,000 "startup payment," which we paid, and included filing the required LAA with the NYC Dept. of Buildings, which he confirmed in writing would be filed within five business days. Twenty-nine days later, the LAA was never filed. Instead, after a site visit, he sent new contracts nearly tripling the price - then claimed the new price was "in addition to" the signed contract, and finally claimed our $2,000 startup payment was actually a "site visit fee," something that appears nowhere in any document he wrote. We terminated for non-performance and demanded the refund; as of this review it has not been returned. Every claim in this review is supported by the signed contract, payment records, and his own emails. Homeowners in urgent situations: get every commitment in writing and watch for re-pricing after the deposit.

I called the company they referred me to, who told me the snake was in my toilet and not broken due to a crack in my pipe like this company claimed. Do not use them. They are beyond unprofessional.

When we bought the 19th century townhouse in Brooklyn plumbing was the main issue…read more The boiler looked like it would explode at any moment, there was a weird second water heater kind-of hooked in, the sewer cleanout was all wrong, there were multiple fire dangers in the way things were vented to the chimney, and all showers/tubs had various issues. I had a leak under my sink and Tom the owner sent over Kenny and he removed metal pipe that the…read moreprevious plumber put in since there was a big hole and then he proceeded to remove my BRASS pipe & drain, I said "why would you remove that?? Those I know are really long lasting" he said it will eventually erode, I said but it's not right now..he kept pressing that, that was part of the problem. I don't think it was since clearly the hole was but whatever, annoyed about that. I was charged $550. After he left I noticed it was still leaking and NOW it was clogging! I called them again the next day and informed the boss Tom, he sent over Kenny again this time with a partner, I forgot his name but he was much younger, more friendly, he also seemed more knowledgeable because he right away was pointing out things and I can see instantly he didn't like that and it made Kenny looked bad. Kenny changed the pipes and drain again and kept ordering the younger guy, but when we saw it was leaking again, the younger assistant asked if he can see the area, try something Kenny ignored him and didn't let him do anything but fetch tools for him and the assistant kept asking to see, I got annoyed and said "WILL YOU LET HIM LOOK?" like curb your ego dude! So the younger guy said what could be the issue and Kenny refused to acknowledge it and somehow managed to stop it by changing the drain and pipe again, he said the boss has to charge me for the new drain that he put in, that was weird to me since he didn't fix what he initially came to do the first day but whatever I wanted him done and out already. So an $225 and the next day LEAKING AGAIN! I called the boss and told him how upset I was after paying $800 total my BRASS drain and pipe removed (which I think was taken for themselves) it STILL hasn't been fixed and I was totally pissed and not satisfied. I asked how long has Kenny worked for them because the guy doesn't know what he's doing clearly and he's got an ego & wouldn't allow the young assistant to have a look at it, despite pointing out the issues. Tom was a little snippy when he should have taken accountability for charging so much for shi*tty work & sending over an incompetent person who should have retired honestly. It finally was fixed for good, when I demanded for someone else and NOT be charged a 3rd time!!
