Had Kirk over last week to clean out our building's water main. Came quickly, and was super nice, knowledgeable and efficient. Not pressured to get extra services or any other b.s. Highly recommend! read more

Pipe monkeys was professional from the start. They explained how their pricing works and their customer service was top notch. The technician who came to repair my drain knew what he was doing and it was done promptly and professionally. I would use them again if a situation came up again! Thank you! read more

Don't use their AI assistant to schedule appointments. Apparently it doesn't connect to their live schedule so I received a call an hour after the window when a plumber was to come by informing me that they couldn't send anyone out. Very disappointing experience. read more

Very professional. Came out immediately and fixed my sink issue. Highly recommend.

They said in their messages they inspect sprinklers. Then I called them and they use an AI voice robot without telling the customer. The bot then had me fill out information over the phone and also said they did sprinkler inspection. I scheduled the appointment. They called the next day with a human and cancelled the appointment without an apology, saying "the AI did it wrong". Absurd. Hire real people, stop wasting people's time. read more

Pipe Monkeys - Plumbing Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Another one that will go MIA on you. It's hard to find a reliable plumber, and these guys did a great job for the first couple jobs. I even recommended them to neighbors. They returned for another job, but when the problem reappeared the following day, they did not reply to repeated follow-ups and completely ghosted us. read more

Called them for a clogged shower drain and they came on time! Very professional and friendly. Fixed the job and actually found out a more deeper issue than just a clogged drain. The price is very reasonable and affordable. Shopped around for prices and they were the best, when they heard the pleasant surprise from the price quote they told me since they are a family company, they can keep their prices affordable. Highly recommend!! read more

Quick, efficient, knowledgeable and very fair price. We needed a waste pipe fixed pronto

This was the second time I've used Pipe Monkeys and each time they've been responsive, professional, efficient and effective. The process was seamless. read more

TLDR; Did not have a great experience with Pipe Monkeys. While the drain was eventually cleared out, the technician did more damage than good. I had a clogged bathtub that was in need of a snake. When I had the same problem in the past, another drain cleaning company, who wasn't available, cleared it out through the sink P trap and I suggested we try that again. First issue is that the technician managed to break the drawer within the vanity while trying to make space. I unfortunately didn't notice this until after he left. The previous drain cleaning company I worked with was fine without needing to remove the drawers but this technician seemed to need to. After trying to snake through the sink line without success we then tried the bathtub overflow spout. On his first attempt through the overflow spout, the water was still not draining. He then said he would try going through the drain itself, which I was told by others in the past may be risky but he reassured me it was fine. His drain auger had a snake end fitting which prevented the snake from clearing the p-trap. He didn't have the right tools with him and he asked if I had a tool so he can saw it off and make the snake pass through. I felt a little apprehensive about this but thought I could trust him. He was unable to cleanly saw off the end fitting and said he'd try sending the snake back down anyways. I asked him if that was a good idea and if it wouldn't fall off. He said it was fine. He tried snaking again and when he retracted the snake THE END FITTING ENDING UP FALLING OFF. Now I had a clogged bath tub and a snake end fitting trapped. He assured me it was fine, and that the drain pipes are large enough and it will just pass through--no worries. He sends the snake one more time, now without an end fitting. He is finally able to get the drain to unclog, and when he retracts the snake again, guess what is entangled on the end? THE END FITTING. I am relieved that I didn't have to worry about another possible issue, and that the drain is unclogged, but I have no idea what damage he may have caused my pipes. He tries to clean up after he's done but I tell him it's okay he can stop because he was doing a poor job. Can't recommend this company if this is the type of bush league service you are to expect. 2 stars for clearing out the drain but otherwise it seems risky based on the technician you get. And I have a broken vanity now. read more

Quick and efficient fixing my toilet. Good job. Would use them again. Fair price. Very easy to make an appointment. They showed up on time.

Had a good experience with Pipe Monkeys when we needed help with a clogged drain. They showed up fast, explained what was going on, and fixed the issue without trying to upsell anything. The pricing felt reasonable for Brooklyn, and they cleaned up before leaving, which I really appreciated. Everything has been running smoothly since, so I'm glad we called them. read more

Excellent experience. Courteous, punctual, same day service provided. Highly recommend

Water was backing up in bathtub. Called late at night (maybe around 8?) and was able to make an appt for the next day immediately. Very friendly guy. The worker came right on time, did the job and working okay so far. Can't speak to price because I didn't really shop around for pricing but it seemed reasonable. read more

Over the past year I've needed to call Pipe Monkeys a few times (leaking toilet; burst kitchen pipe). Each time I have been impressed with their niceness, and their detailed communication, including confirmation emails, and both texts and calls as the plumber is nearing your location. Joaquin has been my assigned plumber and he is great - pleasant, polite and very patient with answering my questions. I would definitely call this company again for any future plumbing problems. read more

So I thought I was handy and tried to remove my kitchen aerator to clean but ended up breaking it, so I called Pipe Monkeys for help. Kirk said he's available on the weekend and I asked if he's available the next day and he agreed and was gracious enough to fit me into his busy schedule. The broken aerator turned into a bigger project because of a leak in the kitchen pipes and I ended up having to replace the pipes and the faucet. Even though it was so last minute, Kirk replaced and fixed everything and even came back a few days later to replace a drain basket but only charged half his hourly fee. Throughout the project, he explained exactly what he was doing and even tried to teach us a few things here and there. I appreciate Kirk for coming by so last minute and for providing quality work. read more

Fantastic experience all around. Quick to respond, reasonably priced, and a great service from our technician, Tito. It's easy to feel like you're being ripped off by plumbers, but these people are honest and just want to do a good job. read more

Awesome awesome company! I cannot say enough good things about them. They came out to diagnose and repair the leak in my pipe caused by another company. They came out exactly at the time they said they would. Pricing was very reasonable. They got the job done quick and professional. I was on a time crunch and they made everything work out with my timing. They even cleaned up everything after they finished the job. Highly recommend this company! I would give them 6 star review if that's allowed. read more

I absolutely recommend pipe monkeys sewer and drain. After weeks of having a clogged kitchen sink, I called the company and spoke with Kirk. He became the angel I needed in a long time. He didn't abandone me due to my budget and current situation. He worked with me and sent Joaquin the very next day. Joaquin was professional and very quickly unclogged my kitchen sink. I was finally able to return to normalcy. Kirk was such a professional, efficient and honest business owner who was so generous with his time as he listen to me for a while. Kirk thank you for your suggestion. It all resonated with me. Thank you, always. I most definitely recommend using Pipe Monkeys Sewer and Drain. Kind, professional and very knowledgeable. Worked very quickly to put a waterline into our fridge. Highly recommend

We had a sewer backup and filled out a Sewer Backup form on NYC.gov/311 to report it. After reading some reviews on Yelp and Angie's List, we decided to call Pipe Monkeys Sewer and Drain to resolve the issue. The NYC DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) people arrived first to respond to the Sewer Backup form, and confirmed that there wasn't a problem with the City sewer main. Kirk from Pipe Monkeys arrived afterwards, within the prescribed timeframe. He quickly diagnosed the issue, which turned out to be an overlooked chore that anyone can perform: an annual (or twice per year) cleaning of the house sewer traps. Kirk then demonstrated how to open our sewer trap plugs, how to clear blockages with a regular toilet auger, and how to properly reseat the plugs. Pipe Monkeys was on the expensive side for resolving what turned out to be a simple issue, but we had a good experience with Kirk. We especially appreciated that he explained and demonstrated how some maintenance tasks can be performed without a plumber. I would consider using Pipe Monkeys again, to handle more complex work suitable to their expertise. read more

Wanted to do some tree roots maintenance before my lines get backed up. Called pipe monkey and Curt (Kurt?) Picked up after 4-5 rings. Very courteous and professional, was able to schedule me for next day morning. Nick, nice young man called half a hour ahead of our appointment time and informed me he would be about 15 mins late which was totally acceptable and professional. Came. 25 mins of rooting and he's out. Only complain? I was quoted $175-$225 (which is already on the High side) and I figured a 20 minutes maintenance job would land me at $175.... but I was actually billed $200. It was a bit much for just rooting Maintenance. Locals charge between $125-150.... and does about a good solid 30 minutes worth of cleaning. But for professional, courteous and quick service? I guess paying a bit more is worth it if you can afford it. Friendliness: 5 Price: 4 (higher means more $) Job done : 4.5 Cleanliness: 5 read more

Had a clog in my kitchen sink that I thought would be a nightmare to fix. Pipe Monkeys came to the rescue! They were efficient, knowledgeable, and cleaned up after themselves. I'm very pleased with the results. Definitely my go-to for any future plumbing issues! read more

Kirk is fantastic!!! Super quick at responding and was pleasant and patient over the phone when I described the random pipes screaming in our walls last month. He scheduled a 2 hour time frame and showed up ON. THE. DOT. He's incredibly honest and fair and admitted it was the first time he'd ever come across this problem. Since he wasn't exactly sure what the issue was, he proposed changing the fill valve and assured me if that didn't fix the problem, he'd come back out. Well, that fixed it and it's no longer a Scooby-Doo mystery. Our only issue now is that the toilet tank sometimes doesn't fill up all the way but I called him today and he's swinging by to take a look and assured me he'll find out what the issue is - which I have full confidence in. The only reason why I knocked off a star is because when his helper changed out the fill valve, he left our bathroom a mess and had stuffed the old fill valve in the already full teeny bathroom garbage can instead of giving to us to throw out. There was water that went all over the floor too, which he cleaned with paper towels that were also stuffed into the can. Even so, that was minor and can be easily improved upon. What you CAN'T change is Kirk's expertise/knowledge and excellent customer service. read more

Our tech Jao (hopefully I spend it correctly) arrived on time to help us unclogged the main pipe. He patiently explain all the steps and what might have causing the problem. He spend his time here and make sure the job is done correctly. He even go down to basement to make sure no pipe are broken by accident. The price is good, no hidden fee. I have used Pipe Monkeys three times in the past few years for my apartment. Once for the toilet, and twice for under the kitchen sink. Kirk is very pleasant and respectful. As promised, I contacted Kirk when our storm drain was refusing to cooperate and one snaking didn't do anything. He sent Joaquin, who was on time and extremely friendly with my mother-in-law. He explained what was happening each step of the way and made sure to fix the problem rather than just snaking part of it and saying that was all. 90 day guarantee and thus far, with the monsoon we were hit with on Friday, no flooding into our basement and our downstairs bathroom drains faster than ever. They kept to the promised price with the cost of a part (reasonable) added on. We are so happy we found this local company! read more

Joaquin from pipe monkeys was awesome! He helped solve an issue that was different from what we originally thought. He talked us through, patient and informative and he nailed it. The difficult to identify sewage smell has now completely disappeared! Our conversation during the original phone call with a different person was also friendly, reassuring, and acommodating. They sent joaquin the next day! ten ten recommend! The price was also quite reasonable. Thank you pipe monkeys and Joaquin! read more

The owner is very nice and responsive. The rate is also very reasonable. However, he is a bit carelessly with his work and didn't have all the right tools with him. I am left with damaged bath tub with scratches and dents. Not to mention he was not able to complete the repair which I still paid. I am fine with paying since he did spend the time, just not happy about the damages made to the bath tub. I ended up hiring another plumber who was able to complete the repair in first trial. read more

After having some terrible experiences with contractors recently, I reached out to Pipe Monkeys Sewer and Drain and he sure did reply back immediately. In fact he was very responsive. He showed up on time after scheduling an appointment and installed an RO water filter and a garbage disposal for me. Both works perfectly and no issues! I reached out to him again few weeks after when I had a clogged shower drain. Once again he was very responsive and came to snake the drain. We ran into another issue and he gave me consultation on what would be the next best step towards fixing the drain. I will definitely be reaching out to him again in the future when I need plumbing services! read more

Kitchen sink was leaking. Called on Wednesday, got an answer right away, made an appointment for Thursday. Plumbers were late but let me know when to expect them.
