Unfortunately I had a really bad bathtub clog where none of the usual home remedies worked. I used Draino, a cheap snake from Amazon, and the good old plunger. Sadly after a 15 minute shower, I was ankle deep in water that would not drain. I found Dov on Yelp and they responded quickly even though it was 9pm on Thursday. David was here by 10:35 the same night and saved the day. He even put on sanitary booties so that my floor would stay clean. That was a very much appreciated extra touch. There was an issue with my toilet--every time I would flush, the water would rise and then go down very slowly. I tried baking soda and vinegar, cleaner and boiling hot water, nothing would work. I also couldn't get a hold of the super. I decided to pull up my yelp app for nearby plumbers and came across Dov Sewer and Drain. I called them up and was able to speak to someone right away. I explained my situation and he asked what neighborhood I live in. I'm in Crown Heights which worked out because he was close to my location. He told me the price and that he would get there in 15 minutes. Sure enough, he was there when he said he would. Before he entered my apartment, he put on disposable booties, which I really appreciate. When he tried snaking the toilet the first time, he said something was hard and asked if anyone flushes wipes or paper towels (I have no idea what it could have been but I know I don't flush paper towels or wipes). He had to snake it two more times but then everything was good after that. I paid him via Venmo and he was on his way. FYI - I have other plumbers, quote me between $180 - $250 per hour. And the job took an hour. I have used this company for my previous job, $375 for a sink basket leak. Expensive basket replacement.
