Cannot say enough about this location. Was given this suggestion by local resident of DC. Did not disappoint. Seated for a sunset to remember. Ordered a shrimp cocktail and charcuterie board more than what we needed for dinner. Was a beautiful view for sunset. Staff amazing kind and friendly

Fabbbbbbukous place for dinner and drinks with a "vue" :) I went with a friend who was visiting from out of town. Parking was a little bit of a hassle, but we were able to get to our reservation on time and get seated. The wait for our server was a little longer than I would have anticipated, but just taking in the fabulous panoramic DC views was awesome! The drinks were on point and the ambience was really cool - diverse enough with age groups but casual semi formal attire. They had low Music, and it was a fabulous vibe. I was a little disappointed on the limited vegetarian options, however, the gnocchi was good. Highly recommend those place! You will not be disappointed on a more high scale dinner date experience!

Great view from the rooftop bar at The Vue. It was nice to escape the humidity with a nice breeze on the roof. Several people were in the pool, which I did not try. Wine is severed in plastic cups (to prevent glass from getting into the pool). Was fun I recommend!

WOW!!! The viewwwwwwwww is so Amazing you get a beautiful 180 degree view of DC! It's so beautiful at night we truly enjoyed inexperience here! We also had some appetizers and drinks!! All of them were so good! We sat inside when we dined because that DC heat but we will definitely be back here!

BLUF: Great view, ok food, bar area / hightops very busy. We arrived at 5:30 and almost all "dinner" tables were wide open, and stayed open during the 1 1/2 hour we were there, but we were told we would need to go to bar area since we didn't have a reservation. The view is spectacular. Sometimes you can even see guard walking on the White House roof! Food is good. Servings are decent and the flavor is fresh and inviting. Truffle fries are delicious! I especially love the freshly grated parmesan. Burgers are big & juicy... a little greasy would be my only complaint.

One drink in an 8oz drink $33 enough said.

So let me start here: this place is the exact reason I despise going out in Washington, DC. Yesterday was a beautiful afternoon--perfect weather, everybody outside living their best life. And if you know DC, then you know rooftops are not rare. They are everywhere. So the real question becomes: what exactly makes your rooftop worth it? Because let me tell you--VUE Rooftop is not it. Now, I will give credit where it is due. The atmosphere was nice. It was busy (expected), crowded (also expected), but oddly... no music. No available seating. Again, not shocking for a day like that. Fine. I make my way to the bar. I order a vodka water. Let me be very clear--a Tito's and water. H2O. Not infused. Not blessed. Not life-changing. The bartender was actually great--friendly, accommodating, even went to the kitchen to grab cucumber for me. No complaints there. When he asked if I wanted to start a tab, I did what any rational adult does--I asked for the price first. He smiles politely and says, "With taxes and service charge, that'll be $33." I'm sorry... what? Please refer to the picture I posted because I need witnesses. Thirty-three dollars. For a 6 oz drink. Y'all, I wanted to cuss so bad, but I also wanted Yelp to keep this review up--so just imagine the words I'm choosing not to type. Absolutely not. NO. SIR. Close my tab immediately. I turn to my friends to share this nonsense, and my friend casually says, "I just paid $130 for three shots and a vodka tonic." At that point, we were not just shocked--we were offended. There is nothing--nothing--about this place that justifies those prices except the fact that it sits dead center in tourist territory. And they know it. And they are banking on it. Shame on them. Do yourself a favor: keep your coins. There are plenty of rooftops in DC with better vibes, actual music, available seating, and drinks that do not require a small financial commitment. This one? Hard pass.

This is a super pretty rooftop with a nice view. It wasn't too cold for a rooftop either which was nice. The food and drinks were pretty good as well. I got a burrata appetizer and it was decent. The pasta I got had lots of vegetables but it could've had more flavor too. The drink I got was pretty strong. The prices here are high for sure but that was expected.

If you want to sip a drink while staring straight at the power center of the free world, pull up a chair at VUE Rooftop. This place sits on the rooftop of the historic Hotel Washington, just steps from the White House, and the view is the kind that makes you pause mid-sip and say, "Well I'll be damned." From up there you can see the Washington Monument poking into the sky and the city lights stretching across the capital like somebody spilled a box of diamonds. It's a hip, stylish rooftop where anniversaries turn into celebrations and casual drinks turn into "one more round because the view is too good to leave." Now let's talk about the booze because this place doesn't play around. One standout cocktail is "Power to the Peaches," a smooth little troublemaker made with Grey Goose Essences vodka, honey, chamomile, lemon, and a splash of citrus liqueur that goes down so easy you'll be ordering another before the first sunset photo hits your phone. The menu is full of cleverly named drinks and upscale bites, but the real star is the experience: music humming, glasses clinking, and the kind of skyline view that makes you feel like you accidentally wandered into a party thrown by senators and movie stars. If you're celebrating something big or just celebrating being alive with a drink in your hand this rooftop doesn't disappoint.

We came here to celebrate my husband's FBI academy graduation. He made reservations for 6:30p so we could see the sunset. We were seated right at the window and they opened the panels so we could look out. Drink and food menus were promptly provided. I had the crab cake and my husband had the burger. Both were wonderful! We enjoyed looking out at the monuments and White House as the sun set. Beautiful venue and vibes were great!

We enjoyed dinner here Valentine's weekend and had a wonderful experience overall. The service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Since it was a holiday, the menu was limited with fewer options, but everything we had was enjoyable and well prepared. The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion and added to the overall experience. Would recommend visiting during a clear night because the views are spectacular.

We came for drinks before our dinner and had a fun time! I would definitely recommend making reservations, we lucked out and found a spot at the bar! Drinks were expensive, 2 drinks (Hugo spritz and espresso martini for $73 with tip... aside from the drinks the view was pretty cool!

Highly recommended by a local; this hip bar is located within Hotel Washington, steps away from DC landmarks, specifically the White House! The hotel lobby is beautiful with lots of uplighting and marble and beautiful tile throughout . We stopped by for drinks so we found seating along the windows with a direct view of the city scape and White House! The windows are operable so we enjoyed the cool March breeze and city lights! This place is a must visit for millions of dollar views of the city landmarks! We are visiting from Las Vegas and were shocked by the overpriced cocktails, I suppose this is the cost of a beautiful venue with expansive views of DC! Tip- this trendy spot is very very busy. If you need a table, be sure to reserve in advance, otherwise seating along the windows and bar are first come first serve.

The view is the main attraction. We had a reservation for Friday night at 7:30pm. We arrived on time and they were pretty backed up so we were asked to wait for 5-10 minutes which was fine. Once seated in the dining area we had a great view from our table; unfortunately this became quite the nuisance thought our the evening. Several patrons came by to try and sneak in and take pictures (not one of them saying excuse me). The food was mid at best. We ordered the shrimp scampi to start, lobster fettuccine and the branzino. Our serve kept rushing off and didn't really have much to say about the menu. The branzino was bland, the fettuccine barely had any lobster and the truffle fries... well the truffles came on the side ... very strange. Our waiter, well he was there but we had to ask for things 2-3 times and/or flag him down to get service. I was really disappointed in the service and the food. I would definitely not recommend to anyone for anything other than a drink to enjoy the "Vue".

Also when she brought the bill she did not even show the itemized bill at first all she showed was the tip screen which upon doing the math from what we ordered vs paid we realized the amount was way higher than what we got and so we asked for the copy of the receipt only to find out there was ALREADY a service charge on there of which was NOT a credit card charge because we paid in cash and when asked what the cash total was she told us $60.31 yet the copy showed the cash price was $57.91 also they charge for charcoal, what am i suppose to do bring my own charcoal? i've never had to pay extra for charcoal they just include it with hookah price, absolutely ridiculous.
