Absolutely gorgeous view. The service was great and immediate. The food was fresh and delicious. All great variety! Definitely a place to be in DC.

We enjoyed dinner here Valentine's weekend and had a wonderful experience overall. The service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Since it was a holiday, the menu was limited with fewer options, but everything we had was enjoyable and well prepared. The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion and added to the overall experience. Would recommend visiting during a clear night because the views are spectacular.

If you want to sip a drink while staring straight at the power center of the free world, pull up a chair at VUE Rooftop. This place sits on the rooftop of the historic Hotel Washington, just steps from the White House, and the view is the kind that makes you pause mid-sip and say, "Well I'll be damned." From up there you can see the Washington Monument poking into the sky and the city lights stretching across the capital like somebody spilled a box of diamonds. It's a hip, stylish rooftop where anniversaries turn into celebrations and casual drinks turn into "one more round because the view is too good to leave." Now let's talk about the booze because this place doesn't play around. One standout cocktail is "Power to the Peaches," a smooth little troublemaker made with Grey Goose Essences vodka, honey, chamomile, lemon, and a splash of citrus liqueur that goes down so easy you'll be ordering another before the first sunset photo hits your phone. The menu is full of cleverly named drinks and upscale bites, but the real star is the experience: music humming, glasses clinking, and the kind of skyline view that makes you feel like you accidentally wandered into a party thrown by senators and movie stars. If you're celebrating something big or just celebrating being alive with a drink in your hand this rooftop doesn't disappoint.

Highly recommended by a local; this hip bar is located within Hotel Washington, steps away from DC landmarks, specifically the White House! The hotel lobby is beautiful with lots of uplighting and marble and beautiful tile throughout . We stopped by for drinks so we found seating along the windows with a direct view of the city scape and White House! The windows are operable so we enjoyed the cool March breeze and city lights! This place is a must visit for millions of dollar views of the city landmarks! We are visiting from Las Vegas and were shocked by the overpriced cocktails, I suppose this is the cost of a beautiful venue with expansive views of DC! Tip- this trendy spot is very very busy. If you need a table, be sure to reserve in advance, otherwise seating along the windows and bar are first come first serve.

This restaurant is atop the hotel and highly recommend reservations on open table esp if you would like seating by the window- but be aware several people will come to take photos next to your table throughout your dining. Appreciated the food and drink quality and selection options. Took my daughter to celebrate her 21st so she could get all the photos of the background and cute drinks. Didn't disappoint but also expect DC prices ie $20+ per cocktail. We enjoyed the evening and it is a short walk from metro! Restaurant staff super attentive and hospitable. Would come again esp with out-of-town family for the experience and views.

Went here with a friend while I was in DC and it ended up being such a good rooftop spot since the weather was super nice. Not too crowded at 11:30am on a Saturday but it was definitely picking up by the time we left. We shared a few dishes and everything was actually really good. The pear and burrata salad was super tasty, the charcuterie board was loaded, and the pastry basket was a great way to start. Carlos R was our server and he was great! Really friendly and on top of everything without being too much. Only downside was the cocktails were pretty overpriced for what you get, but still a fun spot overall.

ONE OF MY LEAST FAVORITE PLACES. Host - terrible long wait no point of reservations waited almost an hour in a Monday night. Reservation was set for 6:40 didn't get seated until 7:35pm Menu- very very limited ! Not vegetarian friendly and honestly the options suck. It doesn't seem like this establishment has a significant word of mouth about anything outside of the view downtown dc. As a native I would not rate this place a native friendly maybe a spot to visit if you're visiting DC but their restaurant does not represent anything about DC. I was so unhappy I didn't even order an entree which was the main goal of coming. Left still hungry. A bill of $100 for lemonade, Shirley temple and 2 apps is absolutely ridiculous. The lemonade was not good for mention. In addition there is no street parking, i advise the garage. I do not plan to visit Vue again.

Came here for lunch with a couple of friends. The view was nice and service was good, but the food left much to be desired. I got the burger with a side salad and felt that it lacked adequate seasoning and taste. My friend got the Omelette and thought it was just okay and too cheesy. For the price, you could definitely find better food elsewhere in the city.

Great place for drinks and small dishes. My fav here is the tuna tartare with avocado and crispy rice cracker. It pairs well with most cocktails, beer and white wines. Service is excellent here. The views are amazing. Prices are high but in line with DC norms.

Great view of the monument and the White House! We grabbed a quick drink at the bar but still had time to snaps some pics! Super busy on a Friday night and we went late too.

Loved our visit to vue rooftop during recent trip to DC. Walked in the snow to see the white house and warmed up during lunch. Emmanuel was our waiter. He will not steer you wrong. Hamburger, french toast and mimosas!!!! Cant wait to come back

You can't beet the view here. Usually this can mean mediocre food and bad service, wrong. We got here early and hung out at the bar for a bit. Friendly bartender and a chill crowd on a war summer night. Once our table was ready we were kindly escorted. Our server was super kind and knowledgeable answering all of our questions. We went with tuna tartare to start and share the very ample short rib. Fantastic presentation and flavors. It's uber pricey but if you're trying to make some memories in DC, come here.

What was expected to be an amazing Anniversary Dinner at The Vue Washington Hotel was a less than upscale experience. If you rely on photos from their website you'll think you're dinning in an upscale restaurant. However, all the effort is placed into the view.... of The Washington Monument. Our table was across from the bar and it's Subway-like facade, separated from the bar by a velvet rope. This resulted in well dressed ppl seeking a nice private meal at the window and ppl in shorts, flip flops and bathing suits watching us from the bar like caged animals at the DC Zoo. Recommendation: Have the dinner table chairs facing the window so you're not constantly catching ppls eyes trying to take a picture. Another suggestion: prevent all the looky looos from going up to the roof top. It ruins the vibe and for such a small restaurant there just not enough room and it adds to the chaos. Service was polite, efficient and respectful. With my reservation, I mentioned it was my 11th anniversary... nothing was said or done... Good luck
