Aperol, beer, burger; outdoor view.

Great and amazing food and drinks. The outdoor seating is unbeatable and the service is always asking what you need.

From the vue to the food & service everything was fantastic. Our waiter was very attentive and had great suggestions. The champagne tower was great only thing is the syrup that comes with It is very thick and needs to be stirred. The salmon was great and perfectly cooked. The waffles were good but the portion was on the smaller side. Definitely looking forward to going back.

Good breakfast option for those staying in the resort. Typical breakfast items, omelets, pancakes, etc. great looking view. Came on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. Kids eat free with adult purchase which is a perk

Beautiful scenery! Really yummy yogurt parfait! The best thing we got was the croissant pancakes. They were a home run. We were sat down quickly and our servers were very attentive. I will becoming here again!

Food were all delicious! I ordered the lamb dish for my bday and it was great! Texture and flavor were all there. For sides, we ordered calamari and lobster mac and I must say the lobster was super amazing! Service was by far one of the best I've had. I went there to celebrate a big milestone birthday with some girlfriends and they brought out all the desserts possible including gelato. Ambiance was top notch. The view of the golf course and the band playing music in the background made it feel like we were in Spain celebrating!! Thank you all of the staff members for making it a memorable one.

Steak salad - ginormous and delicious!

Located in the Omni La Costs Resort. Beautiful, gorgeous view with outdoor seating. Overlooks the gold course. Celebrated my dad's birthday with a party of 16. Service was superior. Plates were generous and delicious. Also, plated very pretty and huge portions. I ordered the steak salad. It had tons of steak pieces and bacon strip pieces topped off with crispy onions. As appetizers, we had the bread and butter (whipped was nicely spread and garnished with flowers). The butter was light you could eat it off a spoon...lol. We also had the shrimp ceviche. Shrimp was petite with chunks of avocado. It was okay, not spicy enough for me. The mussels and broth was so flavorful and a popular amongst our party. They provide birthday cake and the cake was beautiful. I wish I took a picture of it, was round and double layer chocolate. They dressed it up so nicely and memorable for my dad. Would definitely come here again. It's a great staycation venue too. I've stayed with my husband for his birthday and brought our puppy for a weekend stay and the service was impeccable. If not staying, you can park in self-parking and get your ticket validated at the restaurant. Thank you Vue!

Food was expensive, small portion size and not very good. Service was also very lacking. Golf course views is nice but can get very hot outside. Came here for lunch one day and it was kind of disappointing. The service was nonexistent, had to wait a while just to order. Then the food room 30min to come out which is very slow. I ordered the short rib and eggs and the short rib was super dry and salty already, it was sitting in a pool of super salty spicy salsa that completely destroyed the flavor of the short rib. Small portion sizes. Service throughout was terrible, drinks and water never refilled, never saw our server after we got our food. Don't know what service we are paying for. Overall pretty bad experience.

Braised short ribs was actually only one.

The food was pretty good but I was a little disappointed in the bread and butter for the table. $9 for 6 tiny slices of French bread/baguette. I was also disappointed that as a guest, I couldn't make a reservation for the restaurant but was able to do a walk-in 6 hours later and get a table.

We come here for breakfast once in a while. Today was great. We got a table overlooking the beautiful golf course. The food tasted great and the service was quick and friendly.

Vue has an absolutely gorgeous patio, and if weather permits, I highly recommend taking advantage of it! Most of the menu that I've tried is delicious but not life changingly so. I'd pass on the sushi next time, but the scallops are delicious! They were well made, seared with a crispy top, and had a great texture. Service staff was super nice but they were quite slow to respond. This could be a 5 star experience if the menu hit the mark more consistently and the staff was more responsive.

Beautiful brunch with a golf course view. The Omni La Costa was a refreshing weekday getaway. It felt like we were in Santa Barbara. The food was delicious in a peaceful setting. The Cajun Salmon was cooked perfectly. Hubby enjoyed the Cali Cheesesteak. Both very flavorful. Service could be more attentive. Would love to come back for dinner and jazz.

View/Ambiance: amazing Service: attentive and friendly, thank you Oscar Food: hearty We had a large group of over 20 but the servers just kept coming and providing excellent service. Made our day of celebration very relaxing and stress free.

If I park at valet and have dinner at Vue can I get the ticket validated?

You need to pay for valet. However, if you self-park at the parking lot by the entrance, the restaurant can waive certain amount of time for parking. Either 2 hours or 1.5 hours I can't remember.

Will you be serving Xmas day brunch?

Hi Cristina - VUE will be serving their regular breakfast menu from 7-11am on Christmas Day. Hope this helps!

First impression even before ordering a veg breakfast scramble at the front counter: the peeps who are employed here love (not like) working here. Miles of smiles and genuine engagement with customers is not something you can teach so it says everything about the owners that they love their staff and hire those that match their vibe. And that vibe is infectious and inspiring in a world where most seldom if ever look up from their phones. Ordering was a breeze, service was upbeat and the extra crisp I asked for on the breakfast potatoes was a crunchy delight. Great menu covering all day food cravings from omelettes, pancakes, fish tacos, burgers and inventive coffee choices and fresh pastries were on display and inviting. Floor to ceiling windows, cool light 'n breezy tunes, indoor and outdoor seating equally easy on the eyes and ears. I live in Carlsbad so it's an easy commute but I would drive from Alpine or the border to savor a moment or two of pure gratitude for this amount of happiness and love served on a white dinner plate. You thank you Cafe Topes. Consider me a regular.

Well... here we go…read more The good? The hostess was actually really nice--friendly, polite, and let me sit wherever I wanted. I picked a spot near the door so I could eat and leave quickly. She even checked on me while I was waiting and brought my drink without any issue. The salad? Honestly, really good. I asked for extra feta (and didn't mind paying for it), and they didn't disappoint. No complaints about the food. Now the not-so-great part... The service was slow. Like... noticeably slow. I sat there waiting long enough to start debating if I should just pay for my drink and go somewhere else. Eventually the server showed up, I ordered, and yeah--the food was good, but the wait kind of killed the vibe. What really didn't sit right with me was waiting forever just to get my check. Someone who came in after me got theirs first, and I'm just sitting there like... I have to get to work. Then when I finally get my bill, the server tells me I can go pay at the counter--as if I didn't already know how that works. Overall, the food was good, but the experience? Just... meh. Not terrible, not great. I'm honestly not sure if I'll be back.

We need more places like this!…read more First time stopping by GM's brick and mortar shop vs buying from them at the farmers market, and let me just say, this place is a gem - everything from the store itself to its people! Cinnamon roll - best Ive had out of all the ones I've had in CA and AZ. They do not cut corners and even use brown butter for their cinnamon sugar filling! Cruffins - fun to look at and fun to eat; can't go wrong with any of them! Cookies - white chocolate macadamia nut, chocolate chip, gluten-less chocolate cookies ... now these are cookies! If I had to bet, I'm pretty sure they weigh as much or even more than the famous NY Levain cookies. Strawberry and cream croissant - croissant stuffed with whipped cream and slices of fresh strawberrh; do yourself a favor and just try this! With so many goods to choose from, it may be easy to pass this one up, but don't! It'll give you those napoleon and cream puff vibes.

The pastries are definitely on the higher-priced side and we weren't too hungry, so we opted for the strawberry croissant since it was the last one left. I was hoping to try their cinnamon roll, as it looked amazing and had a selection of flavors to pick from. The lady who helped us was friendly and packed the croissant for me, and we took it to go. The strawberry croissant had some vanilla cream along with strawberry slices in the center cut of the croissant. The cream was nice, light, and not overly sweet, which tasted great with the strawberry. The croissant was a little disappointing, as it wasn't flaky, very dense, and on the softer side. It still had a good buttery flavor but overall it was mid. As we continued eating, I ended up chewing on something plasticky, and I believe it might have been the front cut of a plastic piping bag. I'm glad it was a fairly small piece or else I probably would have swallowed it...It is disappointing that a big piece of plastic ended up in the cream where no one had caught it during the process of making it.

I am very confused at the hype and reviews for this restaurant. It's an okay brunch spot at best…read more The attention for this place is driven by dishes catered towards Instagram and eating with your eyes, not the actual experience of eating with your hands and mouth. It's tough to get a table for a weekend noon. I booked our reservation a few weeks ahead of time. Parking is either near the train tracks across the street or on the curb. We got the egg dish and salad bowl. The yogurt for the eggs was deliciously spiced; dipping in the toasted bread into the gooey poached egg, creamy yogurt, and herbs was delicious! My issue with this dish were the herbs that were too large. Was I expected to stick a big piece of herb on my toast? The dish is saucy with the chili oil so my clothes were dirty with the oil covered herbs. Chop the herbs smaller for practicality! Another dish suffered from the execution. We got the bowl which I thought was going to be a grain bowl. Rather, it was a ridiculously-sized salad--as much leaves as a pack from the grocery store! There were toppings within like slices of avocado, pieces of orange, farro, and nuts. I felt like I was trying to treasure hunt to look for these pieces. The salad was comically oversized. It was dressed fine but suffered from the portion size. You could see this theme with the French toast too where you get 1/3 of a baked bread. I'm honestly confused by this chef who has amazing experience. Why do you construct dishes that are difficult and impractical to eat? Less is more. These dishes need extensive edits. How this place got Bib Gourmand is honestly surprising to me.
